The “assistant” store manager is literally the rudest person I’ve ever met. Coming from someone who managed the same restaurant for 10 years I have no idea how she still has a job. I’ve seen her be very disrespectful to customers who are just trying to get help with coupons/the self check out. And I’ve heard her make very derogatory comments as customers have walked away. It’s a shame that especially on a small island like this that you have deal with being talked to disrespectfully from a grown adult who is in a leadership position.

Dollar general stores are being sued for false pricing shelf vs checkout in other states. I have experienced that most of the time in my post hurricane purchases at this store. They have signs up saying be patient as they are still recovering from Ian but given how many prices are different at checkout presumably due to the hurricane that just means they are jacking up their prices post hurricane I guess since the prices are so different from two months ago pre-hurricane. Either way this seems like unpleasant business practice and I assume they will get called out soon.

The manager ( Patty ) needs proper customer service training in regards to how she treats her customer's. Not sure if she was having a bad day, etc but the way she treated my elderly parents today was uncalled for. My parent's approached the register as she waited on them and she was very rude and not professional at all. I understand the customer is not always right, But just because you are a manager does not give you the right to treat your customers however you chose to treat them. Understand without customer's you would be without a paycheck and unemployed. Corporate will be contacted as I've not submitted details in this review. Corporate will receive a report of the details surrounding this issue.

Was not impressed. Not clean and cluttered. Was there today and discovered that the main checkout was cash only. Credit card purchases had to be at self checkout. The lady ahead of me thought she had paid and the machine failed. She left and I had issues trying to get checked out. Long story short, the mgr couldn't fix it we finally left without buying anything. It will be a long time before I go back. We need the store on the island but changes are needed. Just my opinion.

Waited in line only one cashier and a guy checking out decides he needs chapstick and leaves register for 5 minutes then comes back cant find so lady leaves reg for another 3 min to find it for him
