Total Awesome Services! That could be the name of this business as well. The team at TAS is always willing to exceed the expectations that you would expect from a repair service. We had brake work completed. Using the "Early Bird" box I was able to drop my car off in the morning before work and had it back just after lunch. I had brakes, rotors and a sway bar replacement. I have been going to TAS for over 13 years for my car repairs. This is the only place for me in SouthShore!

The name "Total Automotive Service" does not begin to describe this amazing business. They don't just provide a service, they exceed expectations. When you add up all the many things they do for their customers, the total is greater than the sum of its parts. This is an exceptional company whose focus on the customer is unlike any experience I have had before. They will always be my first choice for auto repairs.

We had significant engine performance issues in August 2023 with our Hyundai Elantra. It took a series of repairs, each based on the diagnostic code generated by the car’s computer after a repair was resolved. They had the car for much longer than we or they’d expected and a couple of false “it’s fixed” tries. All in all, it was a long and expensive experience.The car ran flawlessly until April 2024 when what appeared to be the same issue arose again. We brought it back and were told that if it was the same problem, the work would be covered by their warranty. After testing, it turned out to be the same problem. We asked when it would be repaired, hoping it to be soon. However, they said they didn’t want to fix it to only have the problem reappear again in the future. They wanted to find the source of the problem first.That meant more delays, which we weren’t thrilled about; who would be? However, they found the source of the problem, fixed that, and then replaced the other parts. We’ve had the car back for a while now and it’s running perfectly.Sure, we wish it’d been fixed in a couple of days who wouldn’t? But … when the choice is “Done Quick” or “Done Right” we’ll wait.Thanks to all of the staff there! They are amazing!

By far the best automotive shop around! Abel and his team are fantastic! My truck needed a new differential and Abel did everything he could to find it and get it installed asap. His pricing is awesome and all of his mechanics are top notch. Whatever your needs are, Total automotive is truly your total one stop shop! Thanks again for everything Abel and Team!!

Car was stopped in the middle of the road by this mechanic shop , I quickly asked for assistance in finding out the problem , they reassured me that they could fix it but I have to give it time I gave them one week within thoat one week I was told we haven’t found out yet what’s causing the leak long story short they fixed something that was totally opposite of the actual problem I actually needed a new head gasket and a new radiator and fan for my radiator and I came out of pocket 2,000.00. They gave me the keys and told me it’s fixed and my car was still overheating . Good people but very low knowledge on DODGE CHALLENGERS !!!!! Please if you have a DODGE CHALLENGER LET THEM BE YOUR LAST RESORT BETTER YET FIND A PROFESSIONAL CAUSE THEY WILL MILK YOU FOR YOUR MONEY AND TIME !

This place was great. I broke down on the side of the road and had to have it towed here and the team that helped me was awesome. They were easy to communicate with and were very honest. It is hard to find mechanics you trust and I definitely trust them. Thanks !

We were in the middle of our trip when I got an alert about low engine oil. I had to search for a shop quickly to get help and found this place. They were very nice, checked and added oil and even did not charge me. It was very nice. Really appreciate it!❤️

Finally found a great auto shop right here in Ruskin! julio is an outstanding owner who cares about the experience and being up front and honest! My ford had issues and julio, with his team who are super awesome and polite, went to work and explained the entire process. Up and running perfectly. I'm grateful for meeting julio and his team! OBTW - extremely reasonable!

Stay away, unfortunately as nice as they are they will try and take advantage. I got 4 new tires installed and they wouldn't do an alignment because they said I needed front end work. Well low and behold I took my vehicle in for 2 other opinions including both were Kia dealerships and both told me my front end is fine, even had me go in the bay with the mechanic and showed me nothing needed replacement. Not to mention I have extended warranty that would cover some of these said bad parts that I'm sure the dealership could've taken advantage and gotten covered but they were too honest to do such a thing. Unfortunately for Total Automotive Services, they officially have lost my business and anyone I know.

Horrible customer service and time management. Booked the appointment a week ago to get headlights swapped. Staff assured me he could get it done and it would not take long (two hours max) Proceeds to call me 1 hour before close (vehicle was dropped off at 8am) that he cannot get it done and they are not open on weekend. Wasted money on two Lyft rides. Over promised to only under perform and not deliver. Not apologetic or offering to reschedule to make up for poor service. Don't drop your vehicle here if you want anything done in a timely manner.
