I have been in search of a home church and tried Calvary Church. I like the service and the cafe is really nice but since I go alone, I sit alone and no one takes the time to talk to me. I just wish the other attendees were a little friendlier.

Calvary is welcoming, warm, and lovely. Especially now that they have moved into their new location, they really seem to be hitting their stride. Love the cafe!

I attended Calvary Lutheran Church for the first time on 10/20/19. Although I was there by myself, everyone there made me feel very comfortable and welcome, I never felt alone. The feeling of togetherness and family at the church would likely help even the most extreme introvert feel comfortable. I enjoyed meeting many people, including Pastor Jack.Unlike some other larger churches, I didn't feel any pressure to join the church or have anyone call me to try to pursued me to do so. Because of this, I felt more of a pull to want to go back again. (I am going back!)The service was contemporary (both the 9:00 and 10:45 are contemporary style). I really enjoyed the great uplifting music and the sermon. You can go there dressed casually or more dressed up if you prefer.If you are wondering if you should try this church, I strongly recommend attending one service to find out.

After my husband and I moved to Tampa, for about 3 years we visited several different churches in the area but did not feel like we found our church home till we came to Calvary church. From the lovely members who always make us feel welcome, the impactful sermons from the Pastors week after week and the work the church does to help the community Calvary church has been immense blessing in our lives.

You will not find more down to earth Pastors. Pastor Jack and Pastor Rob have had a huge impact on my life but also my oldest son's as well. It is because of them my wife and 5 children come to this church. The members are friendly and welcoming. You feel like you are family the very first time you step inside the church.
