Love the new Reno. Park is fenced in and gives me such security to allow my little one to run free. I love that they have many pavilions and offEr fresh food too. Cant go wrong.

Veterans park recently upgraded their playground. It is also home to Seeds Cafe and a little ice cream shop called Kool Runnings. During the week it was pretty empty. Street parking. A tiny amphitheatre for small concerts and events. Felt pretty safe walking around during the day.
Playground: Recently updated playground.
Restrooms: Restrooms are located adjacent to the playground.
Picnic area: Several picnic areas with covered roofs.

The playground used to have a small slide, but now it’s a three-tower structure with no access for children under two. While it’s impressive, it completely excludes younger kids and those with disabilities. They designed it so that no child under three can actually climb up. I used to love watching my daughter use the ramp, but they removed it. They have enough parts to build a section for the little toddlers.
Additionally, there seems to be a lot of people hanging around on their bikes, smoking cigarettes. While I appreciate the addition of a fence around the playground, they need to fix it because it is so tall and dangerous for the little ones. At the very least, they should make a section for the younger kids. My daughter doesn’t like swings, so please build a small platform for the babies to play on with a small slide. They took all of that out, and now she’s trying to walk up the slide just to get onto the playground. It’s ridiculous.

Nice park. Quiet and has a breakfast / lunch spot and an ice cream spot!!! So peaceful to walk around and has jazz music playing in the background

We went to eat at the cute breakfast cafe. The food was great and the servers are wonderful. It was a beautiful morning.

We enjoyed a gender revield party for my Nephew's family. The park was very nice, the little kids had great time in the fabulous playground.

This place is special to me, it is not only my son's favorite park but it's the last memories of his father he has. He died shortly after these were taken. Cute place, well kept, clean restrooms.
Playground: Clean and well maintained. Not too busy.
Restrooms: Decently clean and stocked
Picnic area: Very nice, love the ice cream shop

I loved how I saw families and the children get along and just had pure fun. Everyone was playing even fathers/mothers playing with other children besides their own kids. Just wonderful. It would be nice if it was like that everywhere around the world ?.

The stage area needs a little fixing up as well as the water statues.
