Such a caring and friendly staff. I had to put my dog down and the empathy they showed meant allot. They did such a beautiful urn and sent me such a thoughtful sympathy card. They are attentive to the needs of the clients. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful group of caring and attentive veterinary professionals at this hospital. They were absolutely amazing with my "spicy" geriatric cat. I am appreciative to have the help and compassion they provide. A recent visit with my trainereck of a dog with chronic allergies was met with a high standard of care, understanding and compassion. Definitely appreciated Dr. Erin Gaudry and her technician. So appreciative for this team.

We had the unfortunate problem of having a cat who was sick and needing to be seen. After a couple visits my baby was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and given 3-6 months. Unfortunately we did have to put him down today because he was not doing well. I can’t begin to say how great the staff here was throughout the whole process from being the only vet in brevard to squeeze us in for same day appointments more then once to helping with his last day. Highly recommend.

My dog only needed routine yearly care at this vet, which was fine despite longer wait times. However, for more serious issues requiring investigation, I wouldn't recommend them. Initially, they prescribed various treatments including blood work, fluids, and medications. Subsequent visits involved diet changes and medications, but my dog's condition worsened. Despite concerns raised, communication was poor, with delayed responses and unclear handling of lab results. The office manager's attempt to interpret results was inaccurate. Overall, the vet's lack of communication compromised my dog's care, resulting in unnecessary expenses and delays in diagnosis. Also, their prescription costs are ridiculous, some being 3x the normal price.

Let me start off by saying my dog is my baby! She is part of our family. Island animal hospital at viera is extremely professional and caring. You can tell the staff is passionate about the work they do. Sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes to be seen, but you never know if there’s a pet that requires a little more attention or emergency care. The establishment is clean. They helped my baby girl and what I like is we got her medication at the time of her visit. I love this vet so much we travel 45 mins to come! Thank you to the kind staff for always taking care of our family! We love you guys!

I would give zero stars if I could. We brought in my 6 year old labradoodle in February cause she was drinking a lot of water. We went to the vet and she got blood work done and the vet told use they saw she had increased calcium levels in her blood but not to worry so we didn’t (found out later on normal calcium levels are 8.9-11.4 and hers was 13.6 in February on her bloodwork test).Thursday 5/2 she was sick so we took her to the vet to get more test and we find out she has anal gland cancer and on 5/5 we had to put her down. I did a google search to see if that type of cancer would show up on blood work and it does with increase calcium levels. Would not trust any of my other pets coming here and I’m telling friends and family to stay away too. If they would have looked into why her calcium levels were high she could still be here today but because they didn’t worry about it she is dead

I recently had a very positive experience with Island Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, my beloved fur baby Vader passed away, but the staff at the hospital were incredibly empathetic and caring during this difficult time and went above and beyond to make sure that we felt supported. Not only did they provide excellent care to our pet while he was with them, but they also took the time to send us a thoughtful and heartfelt card expressing their condolences. This gesture meant so much to us and showed that they truly care about their patients and their families. I would highly recommend Island Animal Hospital to anyone in need of veterinary care, as they have a wonderful team of caring and compassionate professionals who truly go the extra mile.

Every single time my experience seems to have an issue. Which is odd considering every single time at my previous vet in Melbourne for 15 years I didn't. Gonna have to start to drive 30 minutes south to my previous vet to get good vet care. Shame.

I have a handful of pets, all patients of Island Animal Hospital in Viera. The staff is polite, competent, and compassionate. They work me into their full schedule when we have an emergency, they are cooperative when we need documents or prescription refills. I will continue to highly recommend the veterinary office to anyone with a pet they love.

I had a sedation appointment for my dog (Kara) this morning to clip her nails. She is extremely difficult using typical methods. In an effort not to further traumatize her I opted for sedation. I attribute the difficulty to a possible trauma prior to me rescuing her. The staff here is so wonderful! They kept me informed with a phone call to let me know that she did well. I picked her up and was pleasantly surprised that my invoice was significantly less than I was expecting. Can’t thank you all enough for your dedication! If you are looking for a vet for your fur baby I highly recommend Viera Animal Hospital.

I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided at this veterinary office. Dr. Dexter and the entire staff go above and beyond in ensuring the well-being of our pets. Their compassion, expertise, and dedication make this place the only choice in our area for pet care. I highly recommend this team to anyone seeking the best for their fur family members. Although our experience was in Viera I'm under the impression all Island locations operate similarly. I would not hesitate to make an appointment at any location.

I heard good things about this facility. I visited the one in Viera. I first went in to check out my 10lb dog to have a growth looked at on her head. I was impressed with how the vet looked at it and then proceeded to extract fluid from the growth and said it was likely just a cyst. Thank Goodness! I felt confident with expertise and proceeded to have my dog's teeth cleaned, which I was very, very nervous about since she was 11 yrs old, but healthy. They did the blood work, and monitored her heart during the teeth cleaning. My dog had 14 teeth extracted. I was astonished, but she did very well until a week and a half later. Started to have bloody stools and throwing up. She didn't want to eat. Took her back to Viera, had xrays and blood work done. She was so anemic - It was determined she had bleeding ulcers. So I started to look up the medication they gave her after going through recovery to find out that the non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug side effects include bleeding ulcers. My dog was given other meds (anti vomit and anti acids, and something to coat her stomach/gi tract) to help with that new diagnosis. For 3-4 days later she was getting worse, dangerously close to having a blood transfusion. I then made the decision to go to emergency vet hospital. She finally is doing much better as of today. It's been since early December when it all started. My neighbor also went to Island for teeth cleaning for their lab, and now their dog is also throwing up after a couple of weeks and now on anti-vomit, and reduced acid medications. Coincidence? I don't know, but beware of this procedure of teeth cleaning.Something in their surgery protocol is causing this reaction. I hope they will change whatever they are doing so other pets don't go through this turmoil.
