When I tried to cancel my policy the day before a big move, I spoke with Justin at the John Clarkson agency who told me there was only one person, Chrissy Bensley, who could process the cancellation, and that she was in a meeting and would call or email me back. I was told to send her the bill of sale for my car, which I promptly did. With a lot to do that day, I asked if there was anyone else who could just cancel the policy, but was told only Chrissy could do it. Chrissy never responded to me, so I ended up calling Allstate customer service directly. They were able to cancel it on the spot, no bill of sale required. I wish Justin had suggested I call customer service when I asked if there was anyone else who could do the cancellation. Also not sure why I needed to send the bill of sale when customer service didn’t require it all. Overall, a very frustrating experience waiting for an email or call back which never happened. I formally filed a complaint with this agency via Allstate customer service. Do yourself a favor and don’t get your insurance here.
