The staff is very friendly and helpful. The vets answer all your questions and don't rush you. The vets I went to before would have you drop off your pet and call you when they are done, so you didn't get any information from them. It was so refreshing to have the vet spend time with me. I was previously told my dog had a heart murmur but never knew how bad it was. This vet told me that it was only a 2 to 3 out of 6. That gave me reassurance. My dog is 13 and I want to keep her as healthy as possible. Love these guys.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Animals don't just get sick during regular vet hours. This vet does not build in an emergency time for their regular patients. If you are searching for a heartless uncaring vet, who will not be there for you in a true emergency, than these are the people for you.

This wonderful staff just helped to get my dog her pain medication even though it was me who forgot to reorder, all within 10 minutes of closing for the weekend. This staff cares about their patients and works with crazy, worried parents, lol. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Jessica and staff!

I have 2 daniff puppies and of course my toy poodles. I have been going to this practice for a couple of years. My new daniff pups love Dr Jakeman. She is so attentive and actually gets on the the floor and plays with them while administering their shots. I have had dogs over 45 years and to me they are the best. When you walk in the door they are friendly, always accommodating me with an appointment since I have 5 dogs. I am extremally happy with them and have refered friends to them as well.

they are a very caring & thorough. They don't push a bunch of extra tests, x-ray etc on you to hype up the price. I am very blessed to find such a great vet down here. They are reasonable on their office visit rate. A++ rate from me.

AVOID-STAY FAR AWAY: The WORST vet ever. As a medical professional, I believe my Maltipoo Mimi would be alive today if they were competent and thorough. Just on the basis of partial blood test results and partial exam Marx said "euthanize her now". Offered no explanation nor potential treatments. Dr. DeGrove told me that advocating for the pet is none of his business nor is it his business to educate the pet owner. He is there to do what the pet owner asks him to do -no more and no less. AVOID OR YOUR PET MAY DIE. DeGrove hates it when I say I think Marx is a quack. I could be mistaken.

Horrible place. Would never recommend anyone to bring their pet there. Our beloved retriever had been going there for 8 years. 8 years he had been their patient. He was brought in on his final day on earth because he was vomiting and moping around after they treated him and removed several skin tags. They took an xray and they sent us to ER hospital. He had cancer. His prognosis bleak. No treatment. So we had to let him cross the rainbow bridge. Afterwards we got nothing from them. No acknowledgement. No sympathies were sent. No check up to see how he was doing.. Nothing. Heartless. After 8 years you'd think they would care. In fact we got a reminder card a few months after his death to make an appointment for vaccines. Unbelievable. My dad was devasted.

Dr. DeGrove and Dr. Reese have been there for our family pets since we moved here ten years ago. From decisions regarding our aging pet to recommendations with a new show puppy, they have always been there for us.

Been going there since moving to Port Charlotte since he was in P.C. He's now in Punta Gorda. Great office staff.
