If I could give negative stars I would. My daughter got caught in the terrible rain we had a week ago, June 2024, and slid off the road into a ditch, damaging the under carriage of her car and dual mufflers. Gregg's Auto had some good reviews and it was close to home so we had it towed. Monday morning we went in and we were not greeted, despite both he and his wife being in the front looking right at us. When we asked any questions, we only received head nods, and then we were told to "talk to her", referring to his wife. The car sat for a week, after being told they wouldn't even look at the car, until after June 28th. I am almost positive they are racist, which is why we were treated like trash. We went back in to get the keys to take the car and they pointed to the keys, never said a word to us. Unprofessional is not even a good word to describe this establishment. Word of advice, not all reviews are reliable, especially when the good ones are from personal friends and family members!

Dropped off the car the night before and was called when it was ready. Great service and I signed up the Gregg's Car Club to save even more money.

Called for an appointment on 16th and dropped vehicle over the weekend for a fix on Monday April 22nd. Never heard from them until I called April 25th. In conversation with Greg he asked what was wrong with the vehicle and I said I need an Hvac compressor. He asked what was it doing and I stated again that it was making a noise and a burning smell from the serpentine belt rubbing. Now I'm questioning in my head why he hasn't even looked at the vehicle 3 days after my appointment. So he says I will call you back. Did not hear from him until the following day when I get a phone call from him asking for my email to email me a quote. I said I am actually at the post office I will just stop in. So I leave the post office and go over there and Greg showed me an estimate for repair for the compressor but also everything else totalling $3395.44! This is just the first estimate. He then proceeds to send me a separate estimate for just the compressor totaling $1377.06 a few days after telling him I would think about it. The estimate included replacing engine valve covers, engine oil pressure switch, suspension control, leak detection dye, oil filter, coolant, replace upper control arms, oil change, inspect tire pressure, check fluids, belts and lube body and chassis, complete oil service to include replace compressor, liquid lines, accumulator, remove radiator and replace condenser and reinstall, replace oil pressure switch, Evac and recharge system. My vehicle is 22 years old and has been maintained over the years so I know there are things that should be eventually changed but again it's 22 yrs old and I did not ask for any of this stuff. Most of the estimate wasn't even for your normal maintenence stuff like flushing the radiator, or checking the brakes, or spark plugs for a tune up. I was rear ended in 2021 and the sensor for my gas tank does not work and you would think if they put the computer on it they would have caught all those codes for emissions and fuel sensors that I know I have because I can check my own codes. Clearly they didnt do that. This guy had my vehicle for 3 weeks and proceeded to argue with me about what repairs I had to do! I grew up with 3 brothers who were mechanics so I am not nieve around vehicles like this guy thought. I have no clue how everyone is rating this company 4.8 stars and praising how good of service they got after the way I was treated. After Greg argued with me about what I wanted fixed and what he wanted to fix I finally had enough nonsense and told him to lock my keys in my vehicle and I would pick it up over the weekend to which he agreed to do. So Friday after work I had errands to do after work, to which the shop was closing at noon but I was not picking up until Saturday anyway, and I drove by the shop to see where my vehicle was. This guy blocked my vehicle in on all sides so that I could not get it out. Totally inconveniencing me yet again! I had to wait for them to open on Monday and leave work to get my vehicle because at this point I didn't know what other shadiness he was going to pull on me. My husband takes me down there and parked on the back road behind the shop while I walk up to my vehicle that was unlocked all weekend and no keys in the vehicle like I'd asked for! I go walk into the shop and asked for them to give me my keys and unblock my vehicle to which he does and acts all innocent knowing well he purposely blocked my vehicle in and purposely left it unlocked for days! This has been the most unprofessional experience with an auto mechanic that I have ever had and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone! Do not let this man tell you you need repairs costing thousands of dollars that are not needed! Get a second opinion!

Gregg's Auto wants to understand the problem you are having with your auto before beginning repairs. In my opinion this attention to the problem aids in making repairs in a more timely fashion. I am completely satisfied the work on my auto.

Took my vehicle in for a complete check up, bought used. Was given an estimate for all work needed. Shop got the job done under budget and on time. Not many places do that anymore.
Revisited for a check up. Same great service.
