Mark Stewart the sales associate was excellent going to bat for us, traipsing back & forth to help make the numbers work. The managerial & financial/ closing departments were there for us also, but again Mark was our person! Thank you all for your expert staff from the beginning to the end of our time there at Gettle of Charlotte County.

I bought my car here , always been happy w experience including service. I still am. They are great. But when they asked me during my service call if I wanted a $64 pair windshield wipers and $74 cabin filter and $65 engine filter I laughed and choked at the same time. I just feel bad for the customer that does not know better. I got the engine filter because I don’t know how to change that. But that was overpriced too.

Did you look and see that this dealership has a 2 star rating? Are you suprised?Buyer in California looking to ship a car. Negotiated a deal and agreed on pricing with the GSM (Ryan), however some of my local taxes, etc were incorrect. I explicitly said to the sales manager (Michael) - "since we're agreed on the sales price, is this a handshake deal and you will not sell the car to another customer while you work out the paperwork?" He said yes. On Saturday, the dealership was "too busy" to work out the issue, and by Monday I had to call them and they said "sorry, we sold the car."If you want honesty and respect, shop elsewhere. This is unconscionable behavior. When I confronted Michael about it after-the-fact he said "well, you would have had to put down a $1000 deposit." He never asked me for one once he confirmed our deal, or else I would have done that. No integrity at Gettel Toyota of Charlotte County.

I will start by saying this place and people make you feel at home. I went to several dealers and this was not the case at those other dealers. I worked with Cole who is new and Mike as my salesman and they were easy to work with. Cole responded right away doing a great job getting me to come in. He was very personable and actually cared about you as a customer. Would highly recommend either of these guys if you want a great hassle free experience. 10/10

We had an amazing experience with Sage, our salesperson! He wasn’t pushy and answered all our questions! My elderly parents bought a car from him and were extremely pleased the way they were treated! He is a great salesperson with a positive attitude! Well done, Sage!

I stopped into the new Hyundai showroom ( very impressive)) and asked if a service person can check my tires and oil on my 2022 Tucson . I’m leaving for vacation and will be driving across country. The manager took my keys and said he would have the car inspected. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and 20 minutes later my car was ready for the trip! They checked the tires, oil, transmission fluid, and added wiper fluid. What service!!I have purchased 3 cars/trucks from Gettel and I’ve been very happy with all aspects of each purchase.?

I purchased a 2024 Grand Highlander on Saturday 09/30/23. My sales rep was Kenneth. During the entire sales process, I was not educated in any way that there was a key fob shortage or that I would not be receiving a second key fob. I purchased the vehicle to use with my small business which requires me to have at least two fobs for multiple employees. After the deal was done and all the papers signed I was getting in the car to leave and do the phone setup and Kenny only handed me one fob, I asked"Where is the second fob?" To which he responded, oh you have the chip in your welcome bag and you will get an email in a couple days and they will mail you a second fob". I thought okay what's a couple days, no big deal so I left. By Tuesday I had received no email so I did some searching online and discovered that there was a shortage of some kind and that there was a "key program" with wildly varying information about the actual delivery dates. Well, I have a business to run with this vehicle so I called the dealer and asked for the sales manager, I was transferred to Ryan Overstreet who in an arrogant and dismissive tone told me that it was on Toyota corporate not them. I told him that that was unacceptable and that I needed a guarantee in writing that I would receive the key because it was not on the "We owe" document, he at first refused and then agreed to send me the email, but when sent he was sure to state that they would only provide "if available" which what he meant was at no cost to his dealership. So I called Corporate and here is the real story... they have the extra fobs if you need one, you just have to pay out of pocket and then wait to be reimbursed by Toyota which this dealer chose not to do for me after lying to me by omitting the fact that I would not receive a second key fob which I need to run my day to day operations of my business. I didn't expect to have to jump through hoops and come out of pocket for almost and additional $1000 to use the car for the purpose I purchased it, but hey here we are. The key will be at Toyota of Venice tomorrow and they will program it Monday and then I have to file some complex reimbursement paperwork with Toyota corporate. I was going to purchase a second Highlander for my mother in a few months, but it def won't be from this dealership after this experience. I would go to Toyota of Venice if I were you, maybe they are more honest with their customers and maybe they will own their actions when they are in the wrong.

Always, great service, they diagnose your auto , and give you a detailed description of what going on with your vehicle, no pressure to repair, no threat of your going to die if you don’t get the repairs. They have integrity and honesty. I would highly recommend them to anyone whose vehicle needs serviced. John is professional and courteous, if there is a problem, he will work with you to resolve the problem.

I'll start off by pointing out Gettel Toyota of Punta Gorda preys on the elderly. Beware. This review is about my 83yo mother-in-law, who is on a fixed income and had to get a job to pay for the car. She went in the dealership alone to window shop and left with a Nissan. The extra insurance and other nickel-and-dime charges are an issue for another time. How can she get approved for a loan with such a low fixed income? Read the reviews on this forum and you'll see she wasn't the only senior taken advantage of.Now that she's in an ALF my wife has been paying large sums to pay off the loan. She's payed with a check from a shared account with her mom for the last 3 years. Last month she got a payoff statement and paid the loan off.Or so she thought.I went online to see if the loan was paid off and it said she still owed $200+ and had no explanation why. My wife called customer service and they REFUSED to explain why. Not that they didn't know, they just refused to explain why she still owed $200 after paying off the loan. Gettel Toyota won't take calls about financing (unless you're a buyer) and refers you to customer service in Dallas. Sadoc (refused to give last name) refused to help, and his supervisor George (also refused to give last name) refused to even get on the phone. Look, we just want to know about the extra $200. They had no problem taking payments for 3 years with my wife's name on the dotted line but will not give details on a measly $200. My next complaint will be sent to Florida Elderly Affairs. fss Section 825.103 prohibits what Gettel did to my mother-in-law and many other elderly victims.

Very unprofessional sales management. I offered these people a very fair deal on a car that they clearly over priced due to the car being hot on the market. After telling me to wait a couple month for the price to drop if not sold, I then proceeded to wait and when the price dropped I offered the same very fair offer. The internet sales women, Shawna, was not only rude when handling me, but decided to stop messaging me all together. I have offered to fix all issues on my car (which was throwing on two brand new front tires and buying brand new hub caps for my wheels, which cost 160 a piece from Volkswagen), I offered to raise my $0 down payment to $1000 and even went along to stop trying to bump up my trade a measly $500 which is still in the median of what Kelly blue book is saying I could get for my car (which is what dealerships use to give trade quotes and even price their cars). They refused that as well. After telling them exactly how this was going to play out (that they might as well sell it to me and make some money rather than send it to auction) they decided that my business was a joke and proceeded to go along with their methods.I even bumped up the price of what I offered to $500 more which they ignored my response. After being told to wait for the price to drop, I went along with it and patiently waited. By this time the price of the car dropped to $700 more than what I asked with a sign saying “last chance before care goes to auction”. At this point good management would accept the offer I gave them to make money, but arrogance and pride has blinded them. Who ever is in charge of managing that sales team did a horrible job. Holding their sales people back from selling cars, treating me, a customer that is potential business and money in there pockets as a joke, and unable to sell a car that is supposedly hot on the market. If I were the owner of the company I would replace that manager quickly before he/she runs all the customer away. It is rude to stop replying to customers, to lead customers on and use dirty tactics to try and get the price they want. This is a dealership, customers are allowed to haggle prices especially if it is a fair offer. From what the dealership dropped the price to, my offer seemed way more than fair. Lastly, I live 2 hours and 30 minutes away and was willing to make that drive. Management let arrogance blind them from potentially grabbing a life long customer. Worst dealership experience I’ve ever had
