I don’t understand how this place has one good review? I didn’t realize how bad this place was until I started doing taxes elsewhere. Like, better in every way I could imagine and more. I didn’t know all this time that getting prompt responses, being able to communicate with the CPA and not just the receptionist, being treated kindly, and being given great guidance and information are NORMAL? My mind was blown. Also special mention to the receptionist Kathy (who you will be dealing with 99.9% of the time) she is so rude, it’s like out of a movie. It’s like she uses every ounce of energy to sound as nasty and condescending as possible, it’s something you would have to hear for yourself to believe. I had her on speaker once in a room full of people and they burst out laughing because they were in shock/could not believe how unnecessarily rude she was, and I was like oh yeah it fascinated me the first time too. This place is truly special. Do yourself a service, and go literally anywhere else. And if you don’t like dealing with Karens, keep a healthy distance from Kathy.
**EDIT: I’m sorry, WHAT are you talking about? Identity theft?? This is completely fabricated. You must’ve thought I would never see your reply, and that I would not come with receipts. I’ve attached a photo, and each folder marks one (unfortunate) year I’ve been doing taxes with The Tax Shoppe. Exactly what I mean when I say this place is special. As far as your story about a specific event, you are either lying or just confused, we’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it’s the latter.

Why are you lying? And giving weirdly specific, fabricated details? Why can’t you just read an honest review, and take constructive criticism and try to make your business better? Instead, you’re fighting with your previous clients in the google reviews. If this isn’t a perfect example of why you should look elsewhere, then I don’t know what is.

Joe at the tax shop Is amazing I was behind in my filings and could’ve been in big trouble. Joe went the extra mile working very late and very early in the morning to meet the deadline of the IRS !! anybody else would’ve kicked me to the curb.
I can’t say enough good things about Tax Shoppe and Joe. I am the worst at doing things the order I’m supposed to do it in and if it wasn’t for people like Joe id be in Trouble
If you have any tax trouble or needs, the Tax Shoppe is definitely your stop !!!!!!!!??

IRS contacted me saying I owed thousands for tax returns Joe filed. I tried emailing and calling his office for months but he never replied. Now I’m dealing with collections and forced to file forms on my own after hiring him for my accounting needs.

This is the worst place ever. There is not a single CPA in this business. I was charged $2400 for bookkeeping. It took 6 weeks to be completed and then it wasn't even done correctly. They have NO IDEA how to deal with ERTC refunds and listing them as income. When I asked them to fix it or give me a partial credit on services to have me new CPA fix this I was ignored for 2 weeks. I called to speak to this person multiple times and never received a call back. The person that just answered the phone was very and unprofessional and hung up on me multiple times. BE AWARE THESE PEOLE ARE NOT TAX PROFESSIONALS!

It's a bit of a drive for me from Martin County but worth the trip.
I am extremely comfortable with this group and they are always courteous and professional. Been using them for almost 10 years.
I have no issues with my returns.

When looking for a tax professional, I found Joe’s name recommended a lot on local social media groups. Scheduling an appointment was fast and easy, and I was able to get in a few days later. I’ve been going to The Tax Shoppe for several years now and I am Very happy with the work Joe and the team Have done for me there. I used to do my own taxes but I’ve found it’s much better to have it done for you and avoid the headaches.
