I started working as a DG employee. March 4.2024. From the start the Manager Elizabeth Perez was very disrespectful, unhelpful, rarely at the store. I was supposed to start training immediately upon hire. Instead, she (Elizabeth) the manager, put me straight to work. I did not complain. I did my work as told even went above and beyond to make the store look cleaner and nicer than ever before. Without proper onboarding, I had to ask her questions. She would be disrespectful and very rude. As a leader, she comes in late, leaves frequently or sits in the car smoking marijuana. The abuse the employees at this store have to endure is outrageous. People come to work for a very small amount of money and the least DG can do is treat you like a human being. Within a month of work Elizabeth asked if I could get her some marijuana. I was flabbergasted. I informed her absolutely not. The next day, I came in to work and my hours for the week we cut in half. When I asked her about the sudden change in hours she informed me that she was over hours. Another lie .
After leaving the store, she called me while I was in the middle of a shift to ask me to leave so someone else could come in. At this point I reached out to the District Manager Bill And also regional manger David. Both acknowledged they are AWARE and investigating the situation. They left me hanging for over a week with zero responses to why I was not on the schedule at all, whether I was terminated or any answers. No one at this store has completed training. When I went down to the store to find out what was going on I was told by the district manager Bill McCarty that I should have just waited for the investigation. It’s been two weeks with no work. I have no answers and Elizabeth told me to my face that she’s on salary so she doesn’t care. There are people that can handle this store but she does not deserve to be in a position where she is in charge of a group of people. Her girlfriend goes into the store smacks her around and steals and leaves. The employees are afraid to say anything so they don’t lose their jobs. These people are being taken advantage of. It’s extremely sad that she’s been able to do this to so many people. The turn around at this store is insane. No one has completed training. She breaks the rules, doesn’t answer the store phone, sits in the back or leaves constantly for personal reasons. This is beyond unprofessional and unfortunate for someone who just works hard and needed a quiet part time gig.

If you buy food or medicine here check the expiration dates, most of the food is past the expiration date, especially in the refrigerator section,Please Check, I told a staff mbr, tall blonde guy and he was like oh ok, the next day the medication was still on the shelf. New staff very unfriendly they never say thank you or anything just hand you the receipt, very unprofessional don't want to ring you out and get upset if you ask.

They hire too many crackheads and it’s terrible service the line always long . They never work the register and have a attitude when they have to do so. How you gonna bump into my cart and be rude then proceed to be on your phone and won’t open the register . Ghetto location

Love the store , convenient, girls work very hard to keep store nice but some uncivilized people trash the store inside and out PEOPLE would you like to have to pick up after all the people who do that ? Every day? besides putting up with the rude CAVE PEOPLE ,NOT COOL ,PICK UP after your selves ! Have some DIGNITY ,OR go back to your caves, do they come to your house and mess it up and leave?

Good store nice people except for the redhead with, glasses she is LAZY AND RUDE . Also check the prices on the receipt before you leave , sometimes it doesn't reflect the price that posted ???ALSO STOP THROWING YOUR TRASH ON THE GROUND ! THEY PUT GARBAGE CANS OUT FRONT THIS ISN'T THE GHETTO !! ( YET )HOW LAZY ARE THOSE PEOPLE?!!!!?
