Terrible experience. I was repeatedly asked to provide my SSN over the phone, despite my refusal. The day before my appointment, they called me 5-6 times, ignoring my explanations that I was busy and in a meeting. When I returned their call, they put me on hold without any explanation. The office staff was very rude, and due to the SSN issue, I decided to cancel my appointment.

When I called to make my appointment I made sure they could do a medical eye visit for an eye condition and update my eye glasses at the same time which would mean billing my 2 different insurances since I have a different insurance for vision. I was told this was not a problem and I did not need to make 2 different appointments even though I offered to. After being seen today I was told I had to pay out of pocket for my vision exam because they would not bill 2 different insurances. I even told the nurse that took me back that the 2 insurances had to be billed and she also said not a problem that the front staff would handle that. I did my due diligence by asking ahead of time and at time of visit and then still ended up paying out of pocket when I have insurance because they do not train their employees properly. This should not have happened!

So grateful to have found Dr Rowan. Detached retina in Europe, Rushed back and called emergency number on a Sunday and got a call back from Dr Rowan in 10 min. Put us first on the list to see in the AM. By 9 am had us scheduled for surgery with a retina specialist and surgery complete by 2. Could not imagine better service or nicer people to take care of us. We are so fortunate to have found Rowan Eye Care and will use them for all our eye care needs…

Absolutely recommend. Excellent staff and Dr Rowan explains everything. I use to take my mom to him and years ago his dad. I have multiple issues with my eyes and they have been wonderful

my grandparents keep having issues and going back with more issues than they had before... the care feels outdated. My grandparents have had multiple eye surgeries that keep having complications when I know we are doing aftercare completely correct. (Despite lack of patient education from the office)
when I went as a new patient, I never got dilated or anything, they just put eye drops in and then I sat in another waiting room for 30 minutes before I saw the doctor. They gave me glasses but the lenses were backwards and gave me major headaches...
Super red flags were everywhere during and after the appointment.
as a patient advocate and caretaker for my grandparents, I do not recommend this place at all. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere better and more professional, this place isn't it.
We are currently looking for a better place than this one for second opinions and future care, you should too!

Yesterday I received a text reminder about my appointment today. I arrived at office 15 minutes early. The receptionist said”we called to reschedule “ Really!! So why the appointment reminder. Not my first encounter with front desk. It is difficult to find professionals who prioritize patients. Dr. Rowan I suggest you train your staff better. It is a direct reflection on you. Clearly you are very successful and will not miss me as your patient.

Would not recommend. Left not understanding what is going on with my eyes. Received a bill that my insurance did not cover, was not aware that services were not covered. Spoke to the billing manager, very rude, not helpful in trying to resolve the situation to keep me as a patient. She hung up on me when I explained that. Called back to speak to the office manager, no one available. Very disappointed. Heard very good things about this doctor. It is a shame that the office / billing staff leave a bad taste in your mouth. They have so many customers, they don't care about their clients.

My ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Rowan for a cataract. I have found Dr. Rowan to be very personable and professional. The staff is always friendly and efficient. My appointments have gone smoothly with minimal wait time. Dr. Rowan ensures you are satisfied with the procedure. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Rowan and the staff at Rowan Eye Center.

The wait was long. My appointment was originally at 10:40 and by the time i left was about 1:30-2pm. They were very unorganized, they probably would’ve lost their heads if it wasn’t attached to their body and 2 out of the 5 people i saw during my visit was rude and even the doctor himself is very cocky and very unprofessional. I brought concerns to him and i felt like he blew it off like it’s nothing. I would definitely not recommend this place to anybody.

Dr Rowan is arrogant and at times rude. I would not ever refer anyone to his practice. The doctor’s that prescribed the making are not competent, non informative and are also rude. I think Dr Rowan a lots he each patient 4 minutes per visit. Find it hard that even enjoys his profession
