We bought a Maytag washer on August 23rd 2024 and I called Maytag repair on 9/16 with a knocking sound every time it spins a load of clothes. They have one repair company for Maytag out of Miami called Flamingo. Their repair men are the most unfriendly men. The first time they finally came out was 9/30 and did nothing but tell us he needed more parts and tools for a drive that was slipping. Second time out was 10/11 and still same problem needed more parts. Third time out 10/23 and still needs more tools or parts. He is due out again on 11/6. This is totally frustrating on a brand new washer. On top of all the washer issues he started hitting buttons in a fast pace and now my cycles are messed up and he tells me I need to bring up the book on the internet and fix it myself. I think I need to get a new washer and take this washer that has been damaged from the beginning and junk it. The service guy tells me I will never get a new one and plans to rebuild the drive or whatever the problem actually is. We are so frustrated with everything we are dealing with after our first time buying from Famous Tate.

Back in August of 2022 my mom and I went into this Famous Tate to purchase a Speed Queen washer. Told the sales guy what we wanted, should've been a simple, quick sale. He ended up talking us into a GE washer. We've had nothing but issues with the washer from the beginning, balancing issues, spinning issues, etc. until about 2 weeks ago the washer finally went totally out. We called GE and was told the specific model we bought was actually under an auto extended warranty. Scheduled our service call and it was supposed to be today which I left work early for (with no pay.) Service man from GE calls and says washer is out of warranty and we need to go through the company we bought it from. Explained GE is who told us it was under ext warranty not the company we bought it from. Come to find out after calling GE customer service back they put the service ticket in incorrectly. This has been such a HASSLE when we wanted a Speed Queen to begin with. If you go into this place knowing what you want as a consumer then stick to it, don't listen to recommendations from the sales people. It shouldn't be on me for people not doing their jobs correctly or explaining things correctly. Also as a female, if I tell you what I want then just listen and do it because I've done my research and don't need someone swaying me to go a different way and then having to deal with things like this in the long run.

I was asked to interview all the way at the Tampa store which took me over an hour to get , managers interviewed me for almost an hour but I was as never called back. I believe strongly that the reason behind that is being a female! All their sales people are men and they don’t think that a woman can sell appliances! They wasted my time, my gas and my energy! I sold cars and even Timeshares for God’s sake and I was a super star as per my sales managers. Anyway, what a waste of time that trip was , I got grilled by 2 old timers who clearly thought that I m not good enough just because I’m a female!I worked with many seasoned salesmen and I outsold them on many products and services. They lost m as a customer for life as well!!

The sales representative was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product my wife and I wished to purchase. Very patient with us in answering our questions. Delivery was faster than the original delivery date scheduled.

Just bought a washer and dryer. Everything from sales to delivery and set up was as promised. Have purchased a couple of ranges in the past from the Oldsmar location a few years ago. Prices are very reasonable.
