I just got back from Home Depot and cannot believe the bad attitude and poor manners of one of the employees there. I needed a key made and the gentleman who attended me (no name tag) asked me to remove the key from the ring. I tried to do it myself, but I am an 82 year-old woman with arthritis. I asked if he could help me and he flatly answered "no". I giggled because I though he was kidding, but he wasn't. I had to go and find another employee to help me who gladly removed the key from the ring and then replaced it for me after cutting the new one for me.

Wake up corporate!!! We were very patient. Waited over an hour for a pallet of 60lbs quikrete. We even helped some elder folks load steel tubing on their flatbed while we waited. We watched staff stand around and talk then team up choosing what to load and what not to load then go back to their breaks. When we walked inside The staff gave us the run around saying "hold tight", yeah I can do that for so long but I have customers to service as well. Some one from corporate who is strong in efficiency needs to step in and help this store !!

Customer service desk was very disrespectful. Refused to do their job , was actually told that they were to busy to help. Refused to give out store number. Manager had to be called and I was helped right away. This person should be removed from her position and be placed in a more suitable position. I spend 30k a year there not anymore I'll drive 30 minutes away to lowes.

I never had a problem in this store until today. We went in 15 min before closing at 8:45. At approximately 8:57 pm, an employee named Bob was helping us with some questions we had about outdoor lighting. At 8:58, an employee named Ed came up to Bob. We were all within about 2 ft from one another. Ed tells Bob that the store closes in 2 min and that he needs to make sure that every customer is out. Bob then looks at us and relays that information again. We assure them we will be leaving shortly. At 9:02, my husband and I begin to head toward the front of the store. At that very same time, Bob reminds us the store is closed. We tell Bob not to worry; we are on our way out. As we are walking, I pause and comment on a really nice light. Bob is now following us and yelling we need to get out right now! We ask to speak to a manager. Bob tells us the manager would not walk to our location because the store is closed and we shouldn't even be there. Bob is now visibly distraught. During this time, Ed hastily walks to the front and asks a customer service supervisor to cover for him and pretend to be the manager on duty. She looks at the video recording of Bob kicking us out, says sorry, and lets us know the store is closing. My husband asks if she is the manager. At first she says yes, and then admits she is not the MOD. We ask where the mod is, she finally points us to the exit door. The manager on Duty was pleasant, apologized, and said she would speak to Bob. As we are speaking to her, at 9:07 pm, the entire store goes dark. Shortly After, the lights come back on. She apologizes again.

We bought 19 bags cement and waited for help to load...no one showed up. One make worker walked by us 3 times and a younger male just walked out the door we were at and back in the door further down. This has happened several times at this store.

Home Depot offers military discount. I registered on line a few weeks ago....today l attempted to use my discount at this store located at 12621 McCall Rd in Port Charlotte.....the cashier at the garden center was the most rude ignorant Anti-American witch l have ever come across anywhere!!....Her name is Joyce....time was 3:16 PM 03/10/22....when I told her I wanted use my military discount but being this was the first time l was using it l needed her to show me what area on the phone app she needed to see....she said that it wasn't her job to show me where to find it!...It wasn't like she was busy...no other customers behind me....not only was she rude but she was downright nasty about it!!....needless to say l didn't get the discount....l know it was only a $6.00 savings but that's not the point....not only that....she also rang up 2 items twice!...l guess to get even with me for complaining to her about it.....l didn't notice this until after l got home....so she screwed me with that too!....Home Depot shouldn't be offering military discounts if their employees can't honor them!.....I served my country for 22 years in the Army and Coast Guard.....l find people like her despicable!....and Home Depot despicable for hiring the likes of her!......Home Depot...a crappy store with crappy employees......from now on Ace is the Place!.....Ace Hardware for me!!

Tonight we drove and hour and a half just to go to this Home Depot. Excellent customer service and even though there is one 30 minutes closer we still love the employees at the McCall Road Store.

This local store bears many of the same "sins"as the chain it is a part of. In the Garden department they had small Orange trees for $399 for one. That's not a misprint. The management is trying out for the Theatre of the Absurd (opinion). It takes "guts" to do this with an Orange tree in Florida. In Minneapolis, it would be acceptable. The Tangerine trees here were $210 each, though larger than the one I just had delivered from Vero Beach for $39 including shipping. THEY were overpriced. Are the retirees in this area as loose with their money as in Naples ? ....or is it something else ?

My wife purchased a $350 gift card to purchase a tool box for my birthday. I was initially bummed when the every day price for the box went up $50. No big deal. I wanted to buy it for a long time. I had to round up 2 young and strong men to help me get the 250 pound box home. After the guys left I unpacked it and it had a large dent on the side right through the paint. Ok. I scheduled the guys to come back so we could return it. That week they didn’t have another one

I looked up several items online and my phone directed me to the wrong Home Depot. But it didn't matter. I was still directed to exactly what I needed and I was in and out in five minutes.

They lied when I asked for another cashier in garden. They said they couldn't have one because of social distancing. Then a cashier came and was rude when I asked if she was going to open the 2nd cash register. She told me to "go get in line" when I was already in line. Perhaps a little sensitivity training is in order. "Why is a customer asking that question." Let's look at it from my perspective. I'm standing in the sun, trying to socially distance from people with no masks and employees with uncovered noses...

While I know it is not mandatory, I'm not sure why 95% of the employees at the three surrounding Home Depot stores (McCall, Cochran, and North Port) feel they don't need to wear masks. Not only do they not wear masks, they don't practice social distancing. I was talking to an associate today I had to literally put my arm out and tell him to back off and keep a social distance. And that is not the first time I had to tell an associate to social distance. I've done it on more than one occasions at all three Home Depots. I have also gone to managers about it but apparently no one takes it seriously.
