The amount of problems I had with this company are unbelievable for having just bought a house for the first time about 2 years ago. Thankfully I didn’t have any issues from the hurricane because dang I’d probably be without. Ended up having my policy double the first year around and had to change agents within the practice just to get it back down and the second year around I was dropped by my insurance because my agent did not do her due diligence of getting info that was available publicly about my roof that had been done right before the hurricane (a year and a half earlier mind you). I had her fix my policy and then I moved it. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

I would give Chapman Insurance 10 stars , if I could! My agent, Kendall, was personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I got a far more comprehensive homeowners insurance coverage, with lower deductibles AND a significantly lower price! Win, Win, Win!

I called to get a quote and got transferred to the Port Charlotte office. I was told it was late in the day and that it would be worked on and returned the next day. Once it got late in the day I called and asked about the quote and the lady was flabbergasted I called so soon because it takes a few days, she once again said oh I will have it tomorrow. Well here is tomorrow with no quote. I called them back and said forget it and tell her I don’t need anything. I ended up using Time insurance out of PG. Phenomenal commercial, but what good is that if you can actually deliver the product your advertising ??

Cody was awesome to work with. Extremely responsive and helpful. The only insurance company I would use in Florida.

My insurance situation was complex, but after I explained it to agent Kim Cruz, she knew exactly what to do. From finding the best policy, dealing with inspectors, to getting documents from vendors, Kim never missed a beat; and kept me in the loop every step. 10/10 I reccomened using this company, and agent, for home insurance needs.

Your commercial is absolutely horrible. Who wants someone screaming at you any hour of the day about insurance? It's far worse than being on hold. I wouldn't contact your insurance company for anything considering this is the spokesperson you chose to represent your company. I only gave one star so that i could post this and there weren't any stars for a minus rating. Please stop the insanity of your commercial. I mute the sound when it comes on and switch to another station.

Chapman staff for many years are always same day responsive to my inquires and needs. They are helpful when looking at options when I may need to vary my coverage and refer me to only the best carriers at affordable rates. I feel protected in this period of increased violent weather and grateful for their counsel. They do not disappoint.??

So I want to start at the beginning… My mortgage company told me I needed to get flood insurance due to the FEMA flood zone change as of December, 22 2022. I call CIG to speak to someone about the situation. I was put through to Jennifer Baxter. We discussed the new flood zone situation. I told her that I was pretty sure that my home was above the flood plane and asked her if there was anything I could do about it. She told me in no uncertain terms that “there is nothing you can do about it”. She also said “ It doesn’t matter if you’re 30 feet above the flood plane you must buy and maintain flood insurance”. Because she was so adamant about it, I came to the Chapman office and bought flood Insurance at her desk. We discussed the situation further. She was nasty and curt and acted as though she was doing me a favor. I was very taken back but I bought the insurance still upset with the whole situation. Mostly because I knew that my home sat higher than most homes in my neighborhood. At that point, I asked her point blank, “ If I show that my home is above the flood plane, and that I don’t need flood insurance, do I get the premium back”? She said “YES”I went home and thought about it more, and decided on my own to take action. I called FEMA directly. The FEMA representative was very helpful. They told me that If my home is at or above the flood plane, that I should not be required to carry flood insurance. At that point I had an Elevation Certification done for my home. The certification confirmed that my home is in fact is above the flood plane. So with the help of a Charlotte County rep. and a FEMA rep. I applied for a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) to FEMA. It took almost 60 days, but FEMA confirmed my home is above the flood plane. Every step of the way I sent all updated documentation to Jennifer Baxter. (I think she replied once). She is by far the worst customer service representative I’ve ever dealt with.I sent the FEMA determination letter to my mortgage company, and they sent me back the flood insurance waver letter that I sent to Jennifer Baxter this morning, and brought into the Chapman office today.I want my money back!

I think the quality of service after hurricane Ian was amazing, so thank you for that. But the premiums jumped way too high for an average person to keep up with. I would give you 5 Stars if the premiums didn't hurt my family. It's already hard enough to survive financially. I am looking at my records right now and in from 2021 to 2022 my premium went up 505.85 more than what it was which was doable, from 2022 to 2023 my premium jumped up 1191.28 more on top of last year. So my new premium is 2810.50 that is tough for an average family. Thank you for what you do, but we struggle to just pay anything anymore, no change in careers and we are not spenders. Everything is just too expensive. We always hear competitive pricing, let's stop saying that and start helping us find ways to afford your services. Thank you very much

My main complaint isn’t with Chapman, yes there’s been a few mistakes they have made but they were fixed. My biggest complaint is with one of their home insurance providers, Peoples Trust Insurance. Absolutely terrible company. I would avoid them at all costs and Chapman you should really drop them. I would not want to be affiliated with a company like that ever. The way they treat their policy holders in times of need is unacceptable.

They have zero concerns for their clients. Hurrican Ian has been very difficult and our insurance company, Swifft, is being very difficult to deal with. Called Chapman and they have zero concern for my issues.
