My parents have been customers of Amerigas for over 20 years (prior to them even being bought out by Amerigas). In the last 3 years customer service has been horrible and within the last year non-existent. My parents are suppose to be on a fixed delivery but they never get it delivered. When I call to see why, I can't get an answer, only that it will be delivered the following week...which naturally it isn't. If you try and ask to speak to a supervisor they will not connect you. Emailing them is also a waste of time. You'll get a bs response with no follow up. If you are reading this save yourself some aggravation and USE ANOTHER GAS COMPANY!!!!!

UPDATE. After this post, I emailed the company at the email address they provided and the issue was properly resolved within 1 week. what a shame that it took this action to get it resolved. If this ever gets resolved even close what is right... I will edit the review. Moved to FL 18 months ago. Previous owners (with a 250 gallon tank) used a different propane company that we were not happy with. We have been using Amerigas for the last 15 months. I cannot believe that a company is able to survive with the poor customer service that this one is offering. I have spent hours and hours on the phone explaining a $650 billing error over the course of 6 months. Each time, a very friendly and hard working customer service representative explains that the issue is resolved - only to have another late bill show up in my mailbox. When I call (again!) and ask to immediately speak to a supervisor, I am rebuffed and forced to go thru the process to speak with another poor person who is seemingly just unable to help and forced to listen to my frustrated tone. I've spent additional hours writing emails (never to be answered) explaining the issue. I cannot reach anyone at the local office. Today - I received a text from a collections company! AMERIGAS... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I wish I tweeted so that I could let everyone know what a horrible experience this has been... oh, the life credits that I've wasted! If this ever gets resolved even close what is right... I will edit the review.

Horrible, Poor knowledge of timing of gas delivery, services etc. And poor communication. After being hurricane victims, and not realizing we were compl. OUT Of gas, we paid over $400 for our tank to be filled! We then were made to wait EIGHT DAYS before we had hot water again!! (Completely out of gas and hot water!)

I would really like to leave this review and hope people see it and rethink there part in this company. Our house just got hit by hurricane Ian and I’m in need of propane for my generator so I can keep helping family and friends, but unfortunately I don’t meet the requirements to get any service. To all out there please rethink this company for future service

Absolutely awful company would not come out and fill up a 500 gallon propane because it’s not enough business for them in a year. We have lost power due to a hurricane in Myakka city Florida and these people are more concerned about their bottom line and they are about people that are willing to pay them and fill up the propane tanks in order to have power

I am not big on leaving bad reviews but this one I just cannot let go.I called for a tank refill and they suggested a gas leak detection test to be done as well. I received a notification 7 days later that there was an issue and the tank was not filled and someone would contact me. I went to look at the tank and discovered it in fact was filled, so I was fine. I realized I hadn't received a notice regarding the leak detection and went back out to the tank 7 days later (total of 14 days since fill) and smelled gas. Immediately called and was advised to vacant the premise and someone would be on there way! okay... I left, came back to check the next day and smell was still there so i called back. NO RECORD of my call the day before. I was advised to leave again (or stand outside in 95 degrees) until someone could get there. I waited and received a LOCAL call where the lady was argumentative, rude and raised her voice at me. She stated just receives the calls from the call center and there was nothing she could do but send someone out. They came, and there WAS A LEAK, however the original driver came out along with a tech and said that it was not leaking at the fill time as she did check and it must have been due to the old valve. They were very nice and they fixed the issue. I am just so disappointed with the communication and customer service. I have been using them for 18 years and will probably be switching companies. I mostly blame it on the call center from "Indiana".. ? and having to wait a total of 15 days to have it all completed.

We noticed a quick reduction in the amount of gas that we had in our underground 250 gallon tank and called AmeriGas. The gal that answered the phone was exceptionally professional and knew her stuff. She was cautious and ran through the safety protocols with us in the event that the gas leak was inside of our home. She set-up a field visit with her field team and they arrived within an hour or two. They were able to diagnose the leak at the regulator outside of our home and repaired in while there. While we were not excited to lose many gallons of LP, we were happy that they were able to quickly source the leak and fix it. Great gal on the phone and great field techs! Thank you.

With an Amerigas account, ordering a propane delivery is fast on the user-friendly web site. Delivery was made in the time frame promised by a friendly, efficient and well-trained technician.

Worst experience in my life 200 dollars service charge to deliver gas, I have a 250 gallon tank they said that should last a year 3 months. No centralized service is in India now good luck getting thru. Horrible company.

The driver who delivers to us is so personable and friendly. She always goes the extra mile to ensure we get our delivery on time.
