Pharmacy operates a call center in which they prey on unsuspecting seniors using fraudulently obtained doctor's orders and claiming their services are a "medicare benefit" that they are entitled to at "no cost". The seniors buy it bc the rep has their doctor's and other information and unknowingly "verify" their shipping address, effectively giving Thrift Pharmacy permission to ship their supplies and bill Medicare. The problem with this is that patients have limited medicare benefits, are already receiving supplies from their usual pharmacy and this results in sending them into what is known as "the donut hole", leaving them without benefits for life sustaining medication in some cases which they otherwise can't afford. They also only hire people with a criminal record as medicare will not hire someone with a criminal record to work undercover and investigate such schemes. How do I know this? I was hired to work there for a very brief period of time until I caught on to what was going on and quit. I will never forget that elderly woman crying on the phone about how she couldn't receive her heart medication due to this company sending her duplicate supplies. These people ought to rot in hell, prison is far too good for them.
