3 DAYS LATE ON DELIVERY, HAD TO RESCHEDULE THE MOVERS, BARELY GOT OUT OF MY HOUSE ON TIME BEFORE HANDING OVER THE KEYS TO THE NEW HOMEOWNERS. MADE MY MOVE A NIGHTMARE!! Has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had! Their staff is incompetent. And I’m being kind with that! Messed up on the delivery of the pod to begin with then missed not one but two pick up appointments and then missed not one not two but three re-delivery appointments and I had to threaten to chop up their pod with a chainsaw and throw it in my dumpster to finally get them to come out and pick it up for them only to tell me they wanted to charge me another fee after they had missed three pick ups and then decided to show up on their own on a Saturday when I live in a gated community and they do not allow those type of vehicles in. I would strongly urge anyone considering this company to go anywhere else no matter the cost.

Smartbox was recommended by my daughters college as an easy way to pack up your dorm for the summer without having to drive your belongings to a remote storage facility. It sounded like a good idea so I decided to do it. The box was supposed to be delivered on April 30th and I was supposed to receive a phone call before it was shipped. Neither of those things happened, and what made it worse is that I couldn't get anyone on the phone for a couple of days. I stumbled across the name of someone who works for the company and I decided to reach out directly. I explained what had happened and how much it was stressing my daughter out, and the person offered to try and make it right on the spot. He said that he would call my daughter directly once he had it figured out, and that's exactly what he did. He called my daughter to inform her the box was delivered to her school, and then he followed up with me via text. I have worked as a retail manager for over 25 years, and I understand things don't always go the way you'd like them to. All that matters to me is that someone takes control of the situation, follows through on their promises, and genuinely works hard to solve the issue. That is exactly what happened in my case and I have John to thank for it! Nicely done Smartbox.

PLEASE HEED MY WARNING!You absolutely can not get in touch with this company. I hired them to store two units for me. I accidentally left my passport in one of the units and had to stress myself by calling and emailing them to try to contact someone. NOBODY answers the phones. Their online chat does not work. Ive sent tens of emails to every contact I could find online and no one replies. I ended up waiting three months to hear back from anyone. Mind you- all this to simply set up an appointment to access my units which I am entitled to as part of our contract. (I can not imagine them being responsible for transport). I recently changed my credit card and emailed/called them for three weeks to update it. SAME EXACT STORY. No answer/reply for weeks! I later received an email that they will be "charging me a fee since I didn't update my information"....I would have preferred to hire a company that charges double what they are charging to just have the most basic amount of customer service.PLEASE look up on facebook "Bring Down Smartbox LLC!". It is a facebook group filled with people in a similar or worse situation as me. Imagine moving and hiring a company like this to transport your life... You will regret it.

This is the worst company I've ever worked with. They deliver three boxes, one of them had a leak and I called, emailed, left messages, waited on the phone for someone to answer the call over 56 minutes, also asked for the system to keep me in line and call me back and nothing. I never heard back from them. Three weeks still nothing has been done, the leaking box is here with no use because they never replaced it or anything. Now i need to extend the lease on the two other boxes and I cant get in contact with them. This is a total waste of time and effort. Big mistake leasing the boxes from this company

Drop off and pick up of the box in NJ was as per schedule (although one of the boxes was not in great shape and I had to use screws to close the door). But then the problem really started.Smartbox does not pick up phones or call back (neither the corporate nor the pompano, FL number). Apparently they are short staffed and the manager is always in training. They also do not respond to emails.When I finally received a call back the agent informed me that the box was en route would arrive 3 days after my contractual delivery date, but not at my address only in a depot two hours away.So delivery would be further delayed. So far I still do not know when they intend to deliver - and of course they do not answer phones.In my case this is further complicated since I have booked flights to the destination to take care of the delivery and I have to rebook but do not know for which dates.Hello, anybody there?Do not use!

My experience here was just HORRIBLE. I mean, the WORST drama you can imagine! And in the end it cost me hard financial losses totally around $1000 total.... I want to share this ordeal so that it might help others avoid going through what I went through... here's the short of the long:I had a storage unit here for a very long time.... the man running this place was ALWAYS the RUDEST person I've ever encountered (*no exaggeration, I'm serious.... I've never encountered anyone like this in a professional position anywhere I've ever done business) but I simply just ignored him. Dealing with someone rude anywhere can be annoying but when the rudeness turns into financial LOSS in your life.... this takes things to whole 'nother level, ya know? ...In this case, I was on the West Coast and needed to fly into Florida to get into my storage unit as there were some sensitive documents I needed from my belongings. So... I called an spoke to this rude man and scheduled the day that I needed my unit to be pulled down so that I could get access. We agreed on the day and the time he would have it ready for me and I then scheduled my FLIGHT, HOTEL and RENTAL CAR around this agreement.You can imagine my surprise when after spending nearly $1000 to fly in and access my unit, I show up only for this rude man to send me away and tell me that they did not pull my unit down and I wouldn't be able to get into it as planned. Needless to say, I had to pay fees to change my flight so that I could extend my stay and access the unit the next day rather than the day WE AGREED TO. He REFUSED to pull my unit out even knowing I would have to pay another day for hotel and car rental and pay change fees on my airline ticket! WTH??? ....Furthermore, when the day came, some time later, that I finally closed this account and picked up my storage unit for good..... I found my unit WIDE OPEN with the LOCK OFF!!! The door was falling open and some of my stuff was hanging OUT OF THE STORAGE UNIT!! As well, they had pulled it all the way outside and it was left in the rain for God only knows how long.... a lot of my belongings were damaged and some missing.THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! and keep in mind, this is the 'short' of a very very LONG story! I left out alot of details for the sake of time... I don't want to give them any more of my time or energy but again, I just wanted to put this warning out to all who come across it in hopes it may help someone avoid what happened to me. RUN... don't walk away from this place. There are far too many storage options to deal with all of this!! Pick a better option and save yourself the stress and likely financial loss!PS: It's also worth mentioning that I reported this man several times and his up-line could also care less! It was such a waste of time... no one was helpful and no one cared! Even when I spoke with owner! ...It was clear to see that the problems started at the top.

This company is AWFul. They overcharged my credit card twiceSeveral days ago and I sent emails and they still have not reimbursed my credit card I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office I suggest you not use just cut me for anything they are not honest

This has been a disaster. We had a delivery scheduled and when the local rep called I asked for a time. I was told that delivery are all day and when I asked can you tell me either morning or afternoon it was stated we can put you as a preference as a morning. Paying help from 11am it is now noon and the delivery is not here.
