I can't say enough good things about this thrift store. Not only are the prices unbelievably low, but the employees are some of the kindest and most compassionate people you’ll ever meet. This place is more than just a store—it’s a food pantry and a true lifeline for the community. They are deeply committed to helping those in need, especially the poor and sick, and their mission is to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food.
What’s even more inspiring is their origin. They started as a nonprofit with a simple yet powerful goal: to feed and sometimes house people who were dying alone and abandoned by society. It’s heartwarming to see an organization like this that cares so much about the most vulnerable among us. Whether you’re donating, shopping, or just stopping by, you can feel the difference they’re making in the lives of others. I highly recommend visiting and supporting this incredible store!

I've never had an experience at a thrift store like I recently had at Poverello's.
There was a ton of parking & it was very clean. I was greeted promptly by Dave one of the managers and he explained to me what the thrift store's mission was. This was a phenomenal touch and I wish more businesses took the initiative to do things like this to inform their patronship of the mission they have.
The thrift store has a wide variety of options and the prices are extremely affordable. Be sure to check back often because they are constantly running sales.
Highly recommend and thank you Poverello's for the service you're providing the community around us. God bless.

I love coming to Poverello Thrift Store in Pompano Beach to browse and purchase office attire for work. Every time I visit, I find something perfect! Sunday their boutique style clothes were half off!!!! Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth, a wonderful volunteer. She was incredibly genuine and kind, making me feel so welcomed. She even shared some history about the store, which made the experience even more meaningful. They have a location in Wilton Manors that donates food and once a week the pompano location provides clothes to the homeless. This place is not like most of your thrift stores where the CEO is making millions they are truly helping the community. They do not turn down donations like good will. I’m now committed to donating all my items here. Thank you for creating such a warm and positive atmosphere!

I went into this thrift for the first time today looking for tennis rackets and I found 3 in pretty good condition. They have nice vintage items and I enjoyed the environment. The staff seem like great people. I also found a beautiful vintage vase that I honestly fell in love with ?

Had a phenomenal experience at this shop today. The people working here are kind and knowledgeable of their inventory and the shop is very well organized. Stock rotates quickly so you will always find something new. Highly recommend you take some time to check it out. I purchased a very cool vintage painting today at a great price. Thank you again for everything! I'll be back soon! @Poverellofoodpantry

I go in there so much that they all know me and know me by name. Great service, friendly staff, respectful, positive attitudes, positive vibes, positive atmosphere. Definitely worth the money.

Nothing that caught my attention but is pretty low-key. Could use a blast of frebreze or lysol to refresh the place. Their dining wear set are ideal, quite special and collection worthy.

High prices for the quality of goods being sold. Well organized but a very small thrift store. Outdated everything is sold for almost retail prices.
UPDATE:
I’m response to this business owners response, my review is made on MY observations of the donated goods being sold, not on your business model mission helping the community. Not interested in what others think of the goods being sold here. I would gladly donate $$ to assist in the mission. What I won’t do is support outdated donated (free to you) merchandise sold at exorbitant prices.
Good day and good luck in your community mission.

Where can you go and get clothes for a dollar with a good selection and sizes. They have clothes, jewelry, shoes, kitchenware, pictures, furniture, lots of books, records and cd's. Bedding. A great variety of things from a-z. Good prices, well organized. A Great organization that you are helping all at one place. Patrick the manager is very helpful and goes over beyond to help you out with what you might be looking for and prices. I was looking for wines openers, foil cutters and fondue sticks. He bundle it and gave me one flat price for everything. He even told the ladies at the cashier so I would have to explain myself. Love it. When you go to visit tell Patrick Felicia said hi. Oh! The music they play in there is great too. Singing and digging for treasures and finding some. Fun times.

Poverello Thrift Store in Pompano is a nice place to visit if you are on the hunt for treasures. This place has vintage glass, furniture, books, clothes, shoes and kitchen items. The prices are reasonable, however today’s sale was 1/2 off anything over $3. I’m not sure how often they have sales.Books were cheap and the selection was great. The customer service was good, they were really friendly.I recommend this thrift store if you’re looking for something different. 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
