The attendant was extremely weird, unhappy and professional with my mother. She locked the front door and the gas pump so my mom wouldn't fill up the tank after she paid. All this because my mother said good morning with love and said smile. She threatened my mother at 5 am. Watch out for that gas station.

I was at the Marathon Gas Station at 12:58pm on April 28, 2023 located at 2511W. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach. First and foremost, I paid with my debit card at the pump. The price was to be $3.59 a gallon. I was charged the Credit Card fee of $3.69. I went into the store and met the most miserable attendant. I attached her photo to this review. While my gas was pumping, I went in with a scratch ticket. I did not have anything to scratch off the bottom part. I asked for a penny and she down right refused to help me. There she stood glaring at me from inside her cage. Really? Has society dropped this low to help a paying customer? I walked out. When I finished getting gas, I could not print the receipt. It said to go to the clerk inside. I did. Well, not only did I not receive the receipt, I received the same nasty, unprofessional demeaning attitude. I just stood there and I informed her that she was not helpful. I did not call her any names and she "replied that I needed to Google the difference between paying with a debit vs. credit card. Apparently, this "thing" as I cannot refer to her as a "woman" because she is not even a nice human being, has not educated herself that if you use a pin, it's the same as cash. I have filed a formal complaint with corporate, not because I need the refund difference or because I could not cash my scratch ticket - I filed the complaint because this "thing" doesn't need a job or is incapable of doing a job. There are plenty of people out there who are willing, smart, professional and capable. I feel sorry for her, but not that sorry as she continued to inform me that she "had plenty of opinions" of me. I only said that I would pray for her. Needless to say, I work around the corner and we have a fleet of vehicles. We will not be giving this Marathon gas station our business.

During the fuel drought we have going on in Southern florida this “Marathon Station “ was the only gas station ⛽️ with fuel. They restricted purchases to $20.00 of premium grade only. For me this allowed me to get to work and find another gas station to fill up. Thanks for reading my review and a helpful thumbs up ?? will let me know someone else reads these comments. Beware:There is a sign that reads "No refunds No exchange" by cash register. I understand how this should be applied but it also seems to apply when the cashier makes a mistake charging for an item. I was incorrect charged for an item and when I noticed the mistake made by cashier I showed her and all she could do is point to the sign that reads "No refund No exchange"

Terrible experience! I wanted to use the pay at pump method but it didn’t work so I went to another pump same thing see attendant went inside and card would not work supposedly declined simply because they charged me $125 at one pump and $60 dollars at a second pump all via cash app thankfully I used a Cash App card and not my bank card. Guy comes from behind counter we don’t accept credit cards like what are you talking about and what gas station doesn’t take credit card. Then he went on to say those are authorization holds. In my mind I’m thinking Cash App is not a credit card smh. I asked the cashier who thought the situation was funny how long would the holds be placed on my card and then she went on to say she doesn’t know call. Really? This has happened to many others read the reviews. Do yourself a favor and don’t come to this place. The two girls making subs also felt the situation was funny like really. Very upsetting situation for anyone because gas is already too expensive and for Marathon to double charge me/ authorization holds for what! Never will I ever go to another Marathon again!! I wonder if I looked like them if I would have received the same treatment!
