I've used them on Pioneer Elite and Denon equipment for years. As a a Hifi and Home Theater enthusiast since my childhood, I have had several experiences where they gave me back my equipment working better than with new. They are thorough and patient so, yes, they do take their time. But it's always been worth it to me. Their latest repair was for my 110th anniversary Denon AVR. This was a $6k AVR. I returned the first one that died. The 2nd one never sounded right so I took it to them. I waited a month, but the result was glorious! OMG what a system it is now. No one is better in the Southeast U.S.

A+ customer service. Great communication and service was done weeks before the promised date. Had my vintage 1978 receiver repaired and it came back working again and cleaned.

This place is a ripoff. I paid the $100 for diagnostics, so far so good. Then I get a call with the cost to repair $829.25 it was 2/3 of the original price I paid new. I said to replace a board that price seemed too high. The reply was, a new receiver costs $2000, and a used one on Ebay cost this, so it is cheaper to repair. I asked what the cost of the board was I was told $500. I contacted Denon who connected me with their parts department Encompass. The part is $454.10 so close to what EL quoted but when you send the old board back to Encompass they refund $200. So EL is keeping it as extra as additional profit. I called them back and suggested they were mistaken on the cost because they forgot the $200 credit. I was then told they do not buy parts from Encompass they purchase from Denon and there is no $200 credit back. I called Denon and was told they do not sell parts other than through Encompass. Like I said these people are total scammers. Also, I got the unit back after four days covered in drywall dust. You are digging a deeper hole. First , I did contact you as I mentioned in my original post after finding out the actual cost of the part. Second, you did not give me the option to supply my own part, perhaps you are thinking of another customer... I assume what you are trying to say is, that is why the part is $200 more, not because you are keeping the refund, but because you have another source outside of Denon's supply chain. Or inside, i'm not sure where that secret door is, I will contact Denon with your reply. I still have the original paper work it does not mention anything about labor only if customer supplied parts. Unfortunately you are the only repair facility in South Florida listed on Denon's site. As to the part being on backorder, if you pay for the part they will order it. They are not stocking the part on hand, only supplied once ordered. I assume you already know this.

It's rare that I post a review, but I don't think these reviews are fair.I mailed my Denon AVRX-3700H receiver to EL for warranty repair, and I will agree with many of the reviews, yes their customer service and communication could be improved, but at the end of the day I don't really need my ego stroked, I'm solely looking for quality and professional repair, and I can attest they deliver. My Denon receiver had failed HDMI ports and no sound from any source on any channel. Now it works like new and I have my surround sound back up and running smooth and in a reasonable amount of time.Thank you guys. I appreciate the great work!!

Went way beyond what was expected. Not only did they properly perform warranty repair on my Denon receiver. When FedEx completely fouled up delivery during hurricane and mishandled and miscommunicated about delivery they got the unit back, reshipped it, tracked it and kept me informed of status at all times. Surprising personal service and competent repair!Ken G.

These people, in less than a minute, proved themselves to be unprofessional, irresponsible, and undependable. They are supposedly open 9 to 2, only six hours a day, and they can't even do that. I drove 25 miles and got there at 1:00. Not a sole around. The warehouse area is a hole. I wouldn't trust these people to fix a transistor radio.

Brought in the PCB from the cluster on an older BMW that was dead. Within 10 minutes the tech (whose name I was never given) was able to show me the issue. While they had no way of testing and couldn’t assure that it would be fixed, I left it with them for the repairs. Received a call the next day being informed that the PCB was ready to be picked up and thankfully it worked! While it did cost a little more than I expected, you get what you pay for and in this case it was 50 years of experience. Thank you guys for saving me an arm and leg from the dealership! I would definitely recommend to anyone and if I need any other repairs in the future Electronic Laboratory will be my first stop.

Let me start off by saying... what an amazing experience. I dropped off my a/v receiver first thing in the morning. An hour later fixed! Plus, the owners are super awesome. What more do you need! When in need of a repair don't hesitate Electronic Laboratory provides an A++ service. Thanks again!

What a great company!!! They really took care of me here. I brought my 55” tv in repairs. I received a call regarding the issues of the tv and determined it wasn’t worth the time nor money to fix it. I then explained I had another tv with issues. Since there was nothing they could do with the first one, they said bring the 2nd one in, for a free testing. Again, we figured out the situation, and advised me where to look for the parts. After a few bad attempted tries on FB, I was finally able to get the part needed for the tv. At this point, it had been a few months the tv was in their shop. I brought in the piece and again, was surprised with the no additional cost.I was recommended this place by my cousin and I’m so glad he did. Wow, I had the best experience!!! And I recommend them to anyone that reads this post

Brought in my Roborock robot to solder a battery clip back to the circuit board. They completed the work, put stuff back together and charged overnight to test. There was a battery error so they could not test their work. When I picked up the robot, they explained they did their part but could not test, so they refused to charge me! I thought what a smart business person. I have TVs, vintage stereo equipment and friends and would recommend these folks for any electronics repair work. Thanks!

I don't understand any of these low reviews. I contacted Electronic Laboratory about my Marantz receiver, and I must say it was a great experience. My Marantz fell into protection mode (which from reading about is the dreaded red flashing light). I thought I blew something and would be having to buy a new receiver. I called and spoke to Liz, who was extremely knowledgeable. She explained to me the diagnostic cost and that it is applied to repairs. She also explained their business hours, which would require me to take time off. She was so nice, gave me her personal cell number and agreed to meet me after hours at a scheduled time once my work day finished . I met her and Jason and they explained the time frame and worst case cost scenario for the unit (which was far less expensive than a new receiver). They contacted me two days later and told me the repair was finished. They explained that my front left speaker triggered the problem. Then I realized it was from speaker wires touching while installing another component. I took the receiver home plugged it in and within a minute, the exact same problem. So of course initial reaction is I just spent all that money and it must be the repair. I called Liz on her cellphone around 8:00 at night. She very politely informed me it was her daughter 's birthday and they were out at dinner, she would call me back. Minutes later Jason text me and helped trouble shoot over the phone. I was shocked that he took the time during a family event. It appeared I may have a speaker failure in my old B&W rear speakers. They agreed to meet me at the shop th next morning on a Saturday. I thought I was just dropping off the receiver and rear speakers for testing. Not to mention the worry of another costly repair. Jason and his dad talked me through step by step what was causing my problem to the receiver (I learned quite a bit). They did the repair right then as I watched the entire process. They explained what the steps were that I needed to take to avoid future problems. Then they told me there would be no charge and to contact them once it was all set back up.It did end up being the rear speakers, which are now replaced and everything is back to normal and sounds amazing again. I highly recommend Liz and Jason for your audio repairs. They are extremely professional and back up their work. I couldn't believe how above and beyond they went. I felt heard and as if they cared about me as a customer. Which is important when your dealing with potentially costly repairs. 5 stars!

Absolutely horrible business conduct. Both Jason and his extremely rude wife Liz should be ripped off their title to conduct any kind of business. Liz on multiple occasions resorted to yelling, interrupting, and hanging up. Furthermore they engaged in blocking the phone number and emails. This is a formal complaint against this shop and I warn anyone and urge you strongly to take your business elsewhere. Do not expect any kind of customer service, respect, or timely status updates of any kind. If I could give zero stars I would and I have never filed a complaint against another shop, this one is an outlier in the worst way possible.
