Place isn’t worth going too. All around terrible place. You will be better off getting sausage from your local grocery store.

Never go to this place !!! The owner towed my car under the impression that I “walked across the street”. I didn’t walk across the street.. I was in the floral store in the same plaza and the parking lot was empty. In less than 15 minutes the car was gone. The owner has no sense because if they actually saw where I “walked” they would have seen where I actually was. I’m appalled at their common sense, or lack there of.

We found your information from our weekly AFRIFORUM newsletter where Nicolene Coetzee, who worked as an Au Pair in Florida mentioned you as her "going home" away from home shop. The shipping was literally overnight via FedEx to New York. (I could not believe it!!) The biltong, droewors and chili sticks are so very delicious and fresh and securely packaged. I can HIGHLY recommend you!! We will be back for more!! THANK YOU for taking us home. We will savor every bite. Eli and Deon

Good food! Pies are in a tin rather than having a double crust. Tried the lamb curry pie and a pig in a poke. Sausage in a pastry.
A closer alternative than Meal in a Pie.
Liking SA cuisine.

Hi guys - we have been buying your pies, droewors and biltong for years now and love it all!! Please take this as constructive criticism!
This latest batch of biltong we purchased a week ago approx (and as you may recall we buy a LOT of your products each time we visit your store as we live far away now) , is REALLY lacking in traditional flavor. I immediately noticed much less of the spices on the surface of each when I unpacked them. The prices are sky high now and I understand why, so we will still be loyal customers, but flavor is critical!!!!.....
Really disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Dutchy's Gourmet Sausages, and I was thoroughly impressed! I ordered their Droewers and Biltong, and both were exceptional. The Droewers was fresh and came perfectly sealed, maintaining just the right amount of moisture without being too wet. The flavors were rich and deeply satisfying.
As for the Biltong, it was nothing short of amazing. It struck the perfect balance between fat and lean meat, and was neither tough nor dry—just wonderfully seasoned and easy to enjoy.
Additionally, the shipping was incredibly prompt, with the package arriving via 2nd day air and in excellent condition. Having ordered similar products from several other places in the same week, I can confidently say that Dutchy's was by far my favorite. Out of the 5 different suppliers I tried, Dutchy's stood out with their superior quality and flavors. Highly recommended for any aficionados looking for top-notch quality and taste!

Great selection of South African specialties you cannot find in the regular grocery store. It is always very clean, well organized, and the staff is very friendly.

A while ago after a session at a nearby physical therapy office, I was hungry and picked left to go on the sidewalk. I'm very glad I did or I would not have found Dutchy's Gourmet Sausages. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a friendly hello by the manager, Madeleine. I told her I was there for lunch and she sat me at one of their tables. Please note that these tables are rather nice especially considering Dutchy's isn't exactly huge and is half international goods store.
I was provided with a menu to peruse and asked what I wanted to drink. I inquired about their beer selection and she responded that I should try one of their South African bottled beers. I took the suggestion - I only wish I could remember its name because it was excellent. To go along with my beer, I ordered the Just Wors entree: two substantial farmer's sausages paired with a unique relish and fries.
To pass the time while my order was getting ready, she suggested I go over to store portion to look at what was there. I was fascinated by the variety of international foods - cereals, canned goods, teas, coffees, candies, cookies and other items for one's sweet tooth. Let me not forget that the actual sausages they serve are also available to purchase for home prepare.
When I returned to my table, my beer and lunch were just arriving. The farmer's sausages were amazing. Whatever spices and seasonings that went into them were delicious and went well with the meat. The ice cold, South African beer perfectly accompanied them. The fresh cut fries were better than other fries I've had at restaurants and the portion was generous. I wish I could have stayed longer for another beer but time was a bit of an issue. Dutchy's fully deserves a five-star rating.

My experience at Dutchy was utterly disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the service was abysmal—waitstaff were inattentive and seemed indifferent to our presence. The food was equally disappointing; each dish was a dismal attempt at culinary creation, lacking flavor and presentation. It's safe to say that the only redeeming quality of this restaurant is that it serves as a reminder of the importance of home-cooked meals. Save yourself the frustration and dine elsewhere, or better yet, whip up something delicious in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Didn't eat at the place, but got some boerewors and ready-made pies from here. The boerewors was pretty decent and the pie (steak-and-kidney) was delicious. However, as with much food in the US, it came at a *price*, good lord. I mean, yeah, you can understand the imported SA products that they sell to be pricey, but 450+ rondt for just under a kilo of wors made with local ingredients. My goeiste! Yeah, yeah, I know, you can't convert the currency of the cost of goods directly and judge its value, maar nog steeds...
