Love my frames they have a good assortment. Went to one visonworks in NC and they took my insurance when I was visiting my daughter but wanted to wait til I got home. Same great frames but they refused my insurance. When I went to pick up my glasses had to wait and wait and wait not enough staff. There was only one person checking you in and just handing glasses out but if you had questions or concerns which I did had to wait for the other person who was the manager and trained so the line was long waiting for her. They need more staff for sure.

Staff is wonderful but the prices are out of this world. I was quoted $780 for a pair for lenses on my frame. Breakdown of $780 was $220 my share and the rest would be covered by insurance. We went to Costco their price was $180. We ended up paying $115 while the insurance covered the rest. $180 at Costco versus $780 at Visionworks. Still having a hard time believing the difference.

Dr. William Porter, the on-site optometrist, is one of the most deplorable, rude, and disrespectful doctors in the local area. Not only does he attempt to conceal his imperfect eye exams (after 3 times, mind you), but he belittles those with disabilities, including their caretakers. My hearing impaired friend had difficulty hearing what Porter had to say, so when I would insist on helping my friend understand, Porter would constantly interject - talking over me combatively - to make sure my hearing impaired friend would not understand his diagnostics. Porter was masked each time and disgustingly authoritative; and I finally made it known to his staff that his actions were not only unacceptable but unprofessional. Additionally, we have needed to have my friend's glasses redone multiple times due to Porter's insane antics. On the up side, however, make note of Alece, in the front: she is a team player and very good at what she does.

The last two times I had my eyes checked, the prescription were not right, but the last time they were completely off. I shared it with the doctor's office and they said I was past my time to notify them, 2 1/2 months. I explained that I had to wait because we all had COVID one by one so we weren't leaving the house much but they didn't care. I went to the Costco doctor after the second time and the prescription was nowhere close to what it should have been. I walked around for 2 weeks feeling nauseous and almost dizzy because it was so off. I had to pay for a new eye exam and they had to order new lenses, which fortunately Costco covered. I would not go back to this doctor. The glasses are nice but pricing is all a la carte. Costco, everything was included in one price which was awesome...anti scratch, no glare, and the cost of lenses were less expensive for brand name. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I stopped in one day to check out the selection of glasses they had available and compare pricing to other places in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful even though they were busy tasking but I didn't mind at all, I prefer to be left alone while shopping. Found a cute pair of glasses on sale and was able to place my order that day and received them in about a week. They also have a tracker to see the progress of your order which I thought was pretty cool. When I went in to pick them up they had to be adjusted a bit and the woman helping was very patient with me while doing so. I'd like to note that I did not purchase any prescription eyeglasses just blue light with anti glare protection since I work on a computer all day. 10/10 would recommend for the selection and great customer service from staff :) Thank you Visionworks!

We had such a great experience with Dr. Porter. He did a very thorough eye exam and was able to get me the perfect prescription for my eyes.

My appointment was during my lunch hour so I was pushing it on time. I called ahead because I was having trouble finding the location. When the receptionist, Mallory, answered the phone, she was very helpful and I let her know I was pressed on time. She did a great job making sure the process was quick and smooth for me. I was in and out for an exam in about 35 minutes! I really appreciate that she made haste, while still answering all my questions about the process. Dr. Porter was also kind and made sure I was in and out! Customer service was a 10/10 for sure!

called In about my frames and was told they were at the store. I get to the store and nothing there just that they were shipped and to come back again. Worst fucking experience ever

Been coming here since 2015 and ive always had a great experience with the doctor and the visionwork staff. I see poeple complain for stupid reasons that the staff have no control whatsoever, or people make fake complains because they can never be satisfied with anything, i guve this place 5 stars

Waited almost two months for an item and called the office for a week everyday with no answer, so I had to drive to the office. I told the staff member I’m there to pick up the items to turned out to be a hide & seek game because no one knew where it was. They eventually found it in some drawer. Then I was told by one of the staff member that they couldn’t give the item without the doctor seeing me in it to see if they fit properly. The reasoning makes no sense because I can feel ok with it within the moment & then after wearing it for a while feel uncomfortable. Either way definitely would not recommend this location to anyone. Had I no been relentless and show up inquiring about the item no one would’ve called me in regards to getting it. I went to LensCrafters and got good service there!

i was a patient of this doctor from 2016, kept up with my yearly check ups and the doctor would just prescribe me new glasses without thorough examinations. this has costs me my eyes, He finally referred me to an ophthalmologist when my vision deteriorated and here I am today , wishing I had a better doctor to had catch my eye disease at an earlier stage

Terrible. Go to literally any other eye doctor anywhere. Dr was not personable at all. And expected my teen sons who have never put contacts in before to just know how to do it. When I got my contacts for the first time, the dr actually puts them in your eye so you can see how they feel and how they fit. Not let you sit there and get discouraged about it. Now they never want to wear contacts. Reluctantly purchased glasses here for my son and took forever. Only reason I will go back is to pick up the glasses. While there another patron came in and mentioned they lost his glasses that he ordered and then found them again so hopefully that won't happen to us.

My least favorite eye service in my life. The doctor was fine, but the other people that work there are unexperienced and not friendly at all.
