Factory! Its truly a horrific experience which they do pre-warn you. They suggest you bring a drink and something to eat ( nice gesture) since you may be sitting and waiting for hours... and hours... and hours! If you're one who has to go often for injections in both eyes, it becomes a full day of a depressing atmosphere. Sad to see so many people with horrible eye diseases and even more heartbreaking when you see young children and very elderly needing assistance to just walk the hallway, sitting patiently for so many hours. There must be a better way to run such a much needed and extremely helpful service and treatment. Grateful, but hopeful to find a better way...

By far the worst hospital to be in. Wait time is like 8 hrs and that for booked appointment. God know how long you’re going to wait if it’s an emergency

NIGHTMARE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
Transferred 5 times, no one helped.
I work at a doctors office. This was a horrible experience. Definitely the worst system!!!!

Absolutely horrible patient management. My healthcare provider is great, but it takes literally a year to get an initial appointment and the staff DO NOT CARE about timely appointments. Each time I’ve come I’ve waited 2-4 hours to be seen for a 10 minute appointment. Absurd. Don’t come here!!!!

Bascom can be very hectic, but I’d like to recognize the workers and what they do. Especially in the Optical Express, the employees were very helpful and efficient. Laura Muniz was so kind. She took the time to explain the difference in lenses and helped me find the best glasses suited for me. Truly all of the staff was attentive. Despite the volume of people being attended to, I was still able to get my glasses on the same day. I appreciate all of the staff for their help in the whole process. Thank you ?

This is the top hospital and first class doctors! I truly understand the wait time and lack of parking. Staff does a thorough job of moving you along in the process. Yes it takes time but you get world class service from knowledgeable doctors, tech and office personnel. My team of doctors, Dr. Yehoshua and Dr. Welick, are excellent and caring physicians who go above and beyond for their patients. Hernan Pena in the office has always been helpful. Treating patients us not like getting your oil changed, each doctor spends the appropriate and necessary time with each patient. Yes they get backed up, yes there may be long waits, know when you leave all the bases have been covered. Waiting rooms are comfortable (pack a sweater)they do get cold, complimentary coffee is available.
Overall I trust the doctors and staff with the care of my eyes.

Horrible experience. Usually go to the Miami campus but saw a retina specialist in Plantation. I was there over 3 hours and saw the doctor for 5-6 minutes. She had no time to answer questions; she was not particularly friendly; it reminded me of an assembly line of patients and she was just going through the motions. And their billing borders on corrupt!

I’ve noticed improvements, and the staff is courteous. However, there’s a need to address the issue of parking for the handicapped. Currently, all nearby parking is allocated for valet parking, which may not suit everyone. It would greatly benefit if there were designated handicapped parking spots near the entry. My elderly mom had to walk quite a distance, which was inconvenient for her.

It is a place that has no respect for people's time or consideration, the appointments are super long waiting times and if they are 5 minutes late they do not attend to you, there is always traffic and it is Florida and it rains a lot, it is unfair I did not like their service and poor customer service

Plan to spend your entire day here because they always overbook appointments. The staff is hustling, trying to stay on top of things while fielding complaints from people waiting 4-5 hours to be seen for 10 minutes by the doctor. When an entire floor doesn’t have a single chair in which to sit, that’s a systemic issue. The hospital system is greedy & doesn’t care about the patient comfort or care at all.

Dr. Did not know how to give me a proper prescription. I needed prism lenses. Sent in a technician who shoved large glasses into my brain shunt after being warned it was there and after 15 mins. Still couldn’t get it done. They 3 drs. gave me 3 different prescriptions and the optical store said that there were a lot of errors. I was there for several hrs. And got nothing accomplished. Just awful.
