I visit this store daily as it's just down from my home.
Last night I left very upset due to the public humilliation caused by the young man behind the counter .
I used the self check out as I always do..
I got 15 in gas and two more items totaling 21.something.
I put a 20 and a 10 in the machine, and reserved pump #6. The machine gave me 6.45 in change.
When I went back outside to pump the gas , the pump would not clear and show my prepaid purchase.
I went back inside to ask the clerk to reset the pump, before I got through the lineand up to the counter he called me aside and said ma'am, you had 15gas ,a pack of cig, and a candy bar ? I said yes , but thepump didn't reset.
He said ma'am the pump didnt take the request for your gas, and spit out this money after you walked outside . It was 4.$ and some change . .
After 30 minutes and much back and forth .his remarks suggested to everyone in the store I had not put the money in the machine .
Why did the machine give me change for My purchase if I did not put the money in ?
This went on untill I had had enough of his insinuations .
I had been very patient and quiet while he unlocked , picked up, rattled , looked and walked around .took care of customers ,and continued to say ,ma'am you did not put a 10 .00 bill in the machine it s not there . I had just borrowed 30.00 from my friend.a 20.and a 10.
That's ALL I had .!
I finally got so angry at his verbal statements that I had not paid for my purchase. I left the store with no gas , and although I only live a short distance away .I ran out of gas and had to walk home leaving my truck on the side of the road .in the dark , walking alone ,to my home , any female would have been scared.
This is unacceptable in my opinion.reguardless I am a regular at this store for over 9 years. public humiliation by any one in the service industry is un acceptable .

Literally broke the law today by not being able to give me a receipt for my gas, pump was out of paper and the employee inside claimed that she was not able to access the register. The only register she was able to use is the automated one.

employee asked me to use the self check out even though there was no one else in the store. the register never asked what pump i wanted my gas and just put it on a random one that wasnt mine. i had to holler for the employee to come out of the back of the store to fix it and then he slowly took 10 minutes to fix it. had he just helped me in the first place it wouldve taken us 30 seconds but he didnt feel like working.

This place is great, I remember coming here when I was a kid with my dad before he passed. We would get some drinks and snacks before going into plant city and the. Feeding the squerls in the Walmart parking lot

My review is for the company NOT the store itself. This store is my fav and it is right next to my home but because of Corporate I will no longer be spending a dime at this store again. Corporate needs to work on their customer service skills and pay their employees more for the BS they have to put up with because of what corporate makes them do! Must be nice sitting behind a desk making that big money while they watch their employees walk through hell
