Employees never greet the customers when they come in, even when they're dead slow. And when they do speak... it's to answer a question and it's never in a friendly tone. They sit on their milk crate on their phones... Until a customer walks up and I've heard them huff when they seen a lady walking up to the register. I was like.... WOW! What a hard job, standing up, punching a few buttons on a register, taking some money, giving change if needed... notice I left off GREETING & THANKING UR CUSTOMERS... If your miserable at ur job, make changes... But when working with the public.... You should practice proper public etiquette.

This is one of my favorite gas/convenience store/bathroom stops out in BFE. It's a very strange place, kinda like 3 businesses together in a Vintage old building they keep building onto out in old vintage Florida. Outside, moss covered trees, nearby wetlands, beautiful sunsets in the distance over Cedar key, illuminate this place, it's very unique. A beautiful place to pump some gas. There was a brand new gorgeous Ferrari getting gas next to us last time we were there that added to its twilight Zone vibes. It has a BBQ place out back, a fast food chicken place inside & its kinda like a gas station from out of the movie "Blue Velvet." When you walk into the ladies room, it's like you walk into a bathroom in Versailles. It's floor to ceiling giant white marble tiles with lots of mirrors. Very cool. Totally unexpected. Highly recommend.

Smaller truck stop. Stopped in to grab a snack and use the restroom... how do you run a truck stop and all the restrooms are out of order?!

This place sucks bad service rude people nasty bathroom don't stop. charged me a 1.69 for a cup of ice and would not refund my money or the girl couldn't figure out how to work the cash register

Review of Champ's Chicken at this location. Visit 1) I stopped here for gas in October and grabbed some chicken tenders. Holy cow! They were great! Spicy, juicy and nicely breaded. I immediately decided that I would stop here again on my way home a few days later. 4 stars. Visit 2) 3 days later I'm on my way home and stop in. I believe it was around 4 or 5 pm. Anyway, the counter was closed but there were a few leftovers boxed up. I took a chance but sadly these tenders lacked the wonderful spiciness and were quite dry. 1 star. Visit 3) In hopes that visit 1 could be replicated, I chose to drive 300 mile round trip to try the tenders again (and try a bakery in Perry that is highly rated on yelp) at lunch time when they would be fresh. Unfortunately the tenders lacked the excellent flavor of my first visit. They were also smaller. Bummer but it saves me from driving a ridiculous distance for tenders. 2 stars.
