I would like to give this bad rating. They shaved my friend's dog so bad to where he doesn’t have hair on his back; he is plainly naked, almost like naked, completely shaved so the skin is exposed, and then left the top of his head uncut, how she wanted, cut. His name is Chewy, and he doesn’t deserve this. I feel like this is animal cruelty, and that girl who cut him should never cut a dog's hair because. I’m going to be the first one to say You need to train all your staff and employees on how to groom a dog correctly because I’m telling you that is not the way to teach new people how to cut hair. Be ashamed of yourself. Teach more on how to cut a Pom Dog.

I called two times to ask for the manager and both times I got rudely hung up on. If this is how they treat people over the phone can you imagine how they treat you inside the store .

Although this store has a friendly and helpful staff as well as a great variety of items, there is ALWAYS OVERSTOCK/PALLETS/BOXES all over the store blocking isles and making navigating the store difficult as well as making you feel very claustrophobic at times!!

Petco in Tallahassee was great!
9/24/2024: Petco on Airport Blvd here in Pensacola says that everything I ordered for a delivery while in the area is out of stock but offers same day delivery when you order online. Makes no sense that 12 items are all out of stock. I didn't receive a call or anything, I didn't find out my order was canceled until I checked my email.

Went in to the Pensacola Petco and the A/C was broken again! The store temp had to be 80 plus degrees. I saw animals panting and employees profusely sweating. This is unacceptable for a large company to have this type of work environment. Why can't this store get their HVAC units fixed? Very concerning.....

The store was/is going through a “RESET.” The repeat delivery canned I spent 6 weeks testing & choosing will no longer be available at this store; unfortunately for PetCo, that word never made it to the National Orders associates - ANY OF THEM, CURRENTLY NO ONE HAS A CLUE - so my repeat delivery order was of course cancelled after a week (we’re, at that point, now 2 weeks late), so now this is an emergency & a choice about continuing with PetCo repeat delivery at all or going to PetSmart (which I shopped at in Memphis since 2006-2020, ‘moved here to Pensacola).
The National Orders associate was helpful & professional: he basically saved whoever’s @ss is responsible for FAILING to communicate across all POS store-National Orders-Repeat Delivery. Go argue that, it still happened, that Corporate genius communicator owns it.
Please coordinate your reset/product changes across all platforms. The store assiciates are all good: the only reason why I am staying with PetCo.

Reptile and fish area needs some TLC. Fruit fly larva was crawling in the decaying cricket containers. It hadn't been tended to in quite some time. Very gross!

Got cat food and I've been waiting for it for months now. This is so absurd and irresponsible. I wo t be ordering g from you guys again. This isn't the first time this has happened either. All I got in return was a sorry for the inconvenience. Sorry for your inconvenience but you've lost a customer😀.

We purchased 4 GloFish for my Son for the 20 gallon tank he received as a gift for his birthday. We had the water in his tank tested and brought the report in with us before we made a purchase. We specifically asked how long the return policy was in case of an issue and we were told 60 days. Unfortunately all 4 of his fished died within the first two weeks. My wife was recovering from a surgical procedure, and we were unable to return them until 37 days after the date of purchase. The employee at the front informed us that the return policy was only 20 days. We walked over to look at the fish before we left and almost every tank had dead fish in it. I would not recommend purchasing any fish here at all, they seem to be very unhealthy.

Absolutely insane that this store has not fixed their AC. Real feel temperatures are well into the 100’s outside and with no air flow it feels even worse I side. Not only does this make shopping miserable it is unsafe for the animals and employees. Temperatures should not be 15+ degrees over the max temperature for the reptiles. Refusing to turn the lights off because they are on the floor to help with the heat is also despicable. I can’t even imagine how hot the animals we don’t see in the back are. Aside from that you have employees working full shifts constantly moving around in that heat with no cool air to help. Do better
