We brought our baby boy Duke in on a Friday night after he bloated! Right away they took him in and took care of him and figured out what was going on! A little later the doctor came and talked to us and explained everything very well! I was able to ask any questions and even I knew a lot about it upfront, when it comes to your own baby, you just need to be sure!!! We went home and they promised to call as soon as they get out of surgery and they really did at 2am in the morning! It was realistic but great news and all I needed to hear at this point was "He is alive"!!! They kept me updated throughout the day and Sunday morning they called to let me come and visit!! Everyone there was so friendly and caring and everyone seemed to be in love with our big boy!!! Here again, we got all the explanations we needed and Monday we were able to pick him up!!!! We got everything we neeeded and Duke got lots of snuggles and well wishes and I would love to recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent help for their pet!!! Please understand, This is a EMERGENCY clinic and there are different types of emergencies! There is a sheet hanging in the waiting area explaining what importance each emergency has, not which importance each person/pet has... you might have to wait for a while... but once your pet has a life threatening emergency where every minute counts, you will be happy that they chose you first before that pup with the worms and diarrhea!!! I couldn't be more thankful for this amazing team we were guided to at this very scary moment!!! Forever grateful!!!!

I called this vet panicking because our bulldog had a stroke at 13 years old. We had just moved here and didn't know where to go and their staff were so patient with me over the phone and were very understanding. We unfortunately had to let our baby go that day but the veterinarian and all the staff there were so sweet and patient with us. It was such an emotional time for us and they treated us with respect, honesty and were very caring to our dog. I would recommend this place for any kind of treatment for your babies.

I wouldn't say it went well, but when I lost my chihuahua of 14 years they couldn't have been nicer, more compassionate or more caring. By they, I mean from the one who answered the phone to the doctors I saw. Each and every one was amazing to me. I even received a condolence card from them following.

This is my 3rd visit I believe. My roommate/best friend's dog passed away at home. I'm carrying so much guilt as I came downstairs to give Jack his pain meds a little early but he passed just before that. So we put Jack in his fav soft blanket and his fav toy and brought him here. They were extremely supportive and very caring. I think the only thing that bothered me a little is that they gave us Jacks fav toy back. They said they could not cremate him with anything else. They also followed up with a card in the mail expressing their sorrow about losing Jack. I've really begun to like the staff. PS When I said this was my 3rd visit - it was bc Lexi had gotten sick before. I didn't mean to imply that this is a 3rd dog that passed - Lexi is fine.

You should know before going: you have to pay $160 before your babies are seen, and the visit might be a bit more expensive than you think, so be prepared ahead of time with Care Credit or available funds. There will be quite a wait so bring something to do. Bring your patience and understanding with you as well. They're worth it. The staff was excellent and took great care of my kitty boy, Bob. I was told several times that he was such a good boy and that he was flirting with everyone even after having bathroom issues at home. I was assured he wasn't crying or having problems with being handled. They work with you on what they recommend being done there versus a regular vet's office. I was able to pick what my boy needed quickly and then scheduled an appointment for the rest at the primary. They sent his paperwork over to Pine Meadow super fast, and it's been a little less stressful having the teamwork from both of them. I really appreciate the help and assurance of being in capable hands after being stressed about the health of my 13-year-old kitty. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our Titan was treated at VERC this past Sunday for an obstruction and we couldn't be anymore grateful for them. After all the negative things I've seen, I couldn't disagree more. Everyone was so friendly and helpful even with how busy they were. Yes, it was incredibly expensive so be as prepared as you can when you see the bill. Ask questions. They will go over everything with you. Thank you all so much for taking care of our boy. We are so happy to have him home.

Horrible!! This place is so bad. They don't care about your pet. Receptionists at 330am didn't care and were rude. I called ahead so when I got there they would be ready for me, all they did was tell me they wanted my info and to have a seat and wait. It seemed as though I bothered them from playing on their phones. There was no sign of compassion at all. My dog is in pain and all the rooms are open. I asked to get into a room to lay her down but they kept asking for an address. I dont have one. I live on base in an rv. We dont have an address. He was arguing with me that I do and that he was an army brat and he knows I do. He kept arguing with me while my dog was dying in my arms. Nobody else tried to help out. The other receptionist came over and pushed him back into the other side of the door and told him to stop. He should be fired. How the heck could he be allowed to behave like this? The other reviews show it all too how they act in this place of business. Not professional at all. I read through the other reviews and see what the replies are. They have a talk about it. Obviously they don't take these comments and reviews seriously. I can't believe this place is even open. Only reason they are is because it's the only place this late/ early to go and they charge way too much. He told me it's that expensive because it's a big building and they have a lot of overhead like lights and water. What?! Do not ever go here if you can help it.

Don't take your pets here. 150 for a exam fee and 150 for test not including medicine.

The place is dirty. We were sent to a room with poop and mucous smears on the floor. The receptionist is rude , unhelpful and unfriendly. She should not have this job. We waited for a tech who came in to talk to me but she never triaged our pet or took vitals. She said she needed records from out vet who was out of town and disappeared. They do not care enough to do vitals - just we want money and your pet's records. The vet lied to me that people are not allowed to be in the room with their dog when it is euthanized- said it is against Florida law. The State of Florida told me that is not true. DO not go here- your pets are not safe.

Dr. Eyles and LVT Rainey along with the intake staff were very courteous and compassionate when our 11yr old dog became paralyzed. They did a thorough exam and provided us many options for care. Owning animals is never going to be a cheap endeavor, for those complaining about how much animal care costs, that needs to be considered before you take on a pet. The entire staff was empathetic and provided great care to our beloved Griffin who has made a full recovery thanks to their efforts. Thanks VERC!! Great job!!

Do NOT take your pet to this place, unless it is a life or death situation. I watched a man bring his dog in, which jumped out of a car window, while it was moving. The man laid on the floor with his dog, which was in obvious pain, for at least 30 minutes. The dog was in shock and probably had some serious internal injuries. He asked them, several times, when they would take the dog in. "As soon as a room becomes available". Someone else walked in carrying their dog. The dog had labored breathing. They immediately brought out a gurney and took the dog back. The other guy was upset, as well as other folks waiting. His poor pup was obviously suffering. So much for triage priority. After waiting for 2 hours, I told the receptionist that we were leaving. My dog was not in any imminent danger. She came around from the counter and took my dog into the back. In less than 2 minutes (I swear) they brought her back out, with a plastic head collar and said it shouldn't be long. Another hour later, I asked for my money back. "Nonrefundable. The doctor already did an exam and analysis." In two minutes? I told them to take it off of her and keep it ($4 at Tractor Supply). They had to get "permission" from the doctor to refund the $47 for plastic head collar ($4 at Tractor Supply). And, the guy with the dog that jumped out of the moving vehicle? We watched as he exited the back and he was EXTREMELY upset. Everyone in the waiting room knew he got bad news. This place banks on your emotional state, when your pet is injured. They will not even look at your pet, until you pay the $155 up front, which is usually not a big deal, except when you no longer want to wait 6 hours. Then, they verbally ask you for permission to proceed with treatment and will not tell you how much that treatment will cost, until you checkout. The folks next to us got hit with a $750 bill for an IV and catheter, on their dog. The business appears to be more concerned with getting into your wallet rather than treating your loved ones, first. Kind of unethical, in my opinion.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. There is NO kindness of empathy by the staff here. All they care about it money. I witnessed the front desk girl with clack braids and purple ends be CRUEL to a little old lady looking for a collar. I saw her treat multiple people with rudeness and disrespect. She was HORRIBLE to us while we were there to put down our old, struggling German Shepard. She is a horrible excuse for an employee at an emergency center. We actually waited almost two hours to get out struggling dog the peace she desperately needed, before we walked out and found a kind, empathetic, wonderful practice. DO NOT GO HERE. They don't give a sh*t about anything but themselves and money.

I took my cat in at 4 am, he was almost completely unresponsive. They gave him kitty morphine which woke him up a bit. Talked to me about end of life....I said no way! He was fine when I left for work earlier that day. I went to Dr. Grossman 's practice the next morning, decided to treat for a parasite and he is still alive, 4 years later....going to be 18...

I know why there are so many bad review. my cat was attacked by a couple of dogs. I brought him to this clinic based on a referral from the vets office that was nearest to my house. he was there for 2 days. I called to check on him 4 times in that period and was answered rudely and treated like I was nagging them for information. when I came in to try to feed him and get his bloodwork checked for infection, I got to listen to two nurses complain about having to check a cat's blood because cats are filthy and full of bacteria. take your loved ones anywhere else
