This store is trash! They generate trash and they don't know how to dispose of it and it gets all over the neighborhood and I am tired of picking it up. It's been 2 years now and still the problem exists. Contact the corporate a dozen times and they don't do anything about it. They are terrible. The managers terrible. The employees are worse. They think it's below their pay grade to pick up their own trash that they generate. Do not visit the store!

This store needs all the glowing t can get. The lady Tonya that works there is always complaining about her schedule, her manager, the customers. It's so uncomfortable and unprofessional. We went in after baseball the other night and my son had to use restroom but was told it was broken. She refused to let him use the bathroom. It wouldn't be the problem if it was the first time. The bathroom is always "broken" and this is probally the third, maybe fourth time this has happened. She is lazy and tells customers this just so she doesn't have to clean it. This is a newer store in an upscale area and there is no way this bathroom is broken. There's no excuse for this type of service, she is the only employee that has this behavior and is giving the store a bad name. Someone needs to investigate her.

Lady that’s working today @4 is unprofessional she told me to use self check out because she had to sign a guy up for the register I told her I’m getting tobacco products and she said well you have to wait but I was already at the counter , instead of her checking me out because I was waiting already ! then she acts like she don’t even want to give me any bags of yea no hey welcome to dollar general or have a great day just negative spirit. She didn’t seem like she wanted to come to work today and seem that customer satisfaction means nothing to her I come to this store almost every other day because I’m a block away

We stopped in for a few things on 5/12/23, and had a great experience. I felt like the cashier really appreciated us, and treated us like family. As we go about our busy lives, people tend to not interact much with store associates. Store associates need to know that they are appreciated also, so we try to interact with others in a positive way, hoping to brighten their day. I feel like our visit that day did just that, and also brightened our day!

LOVE! Cute little DG right off Gulf beach highway on the way to the Beach! This location is a free standing building with a yuge parking lot right off GBH easy in & out with excellent service! The ladies that work here greeted us upon arrival, were very professional, chatty & upbeat, checked us out smiles all around. Love happy people that enjoy their workday. :)) Very nice DG & it was packed to the gills with inventory, lots of beachy stuff, floats, chairs, tikis, BBQ goodies, pool noodles which is exactly what we were looking for! We found the MEGA pool noodles, some floats, and tons of snacks for the beach. They have an enormous food section with beer & wine! Hubby even found something for our kitties! haha. We both agreed this was a great stop for the beach! Will return! Highly recommend!

Random thought they really handle blacks very bad in that store.. I love colored people I’ve been married to a colored man for over 12 years the disrespect is horrible in that store it need to rehire half of the staff…..blacks don’t last long in that store I live off gulf beach and only seen a few blacks and they was gone within a month’s top don’t shop there.:.

I’m giving this a 3/5 stars because some times I go in this store, and it is an absolute wreck. This store is just kind of run down….they need to remodel or tear it down. Also, one of the staff there is completely rude

Friendly and helpful every time I have visited. The store is very convenient distance wise to me and though they don't have everything, like produce, they have the essentials I need at the time.

The store itself is quite nice, it’s a shame people in the community seem to be shunning it so much. What’s not nice are the employees who stand directly at either side of the entry doors puffing smoke clouds that you have to walk directly through. That was not a pleasant welcome. I saw people complain about this on NextDoor but I thought they were griping for no good reason until I experienced it myself.

Alan treated me like p**** He called me a b and refused a manager. I requested a manager because he would not service me without an attitude. He threatened me in front of my daughter who is 10. I am afraid that if he is in the store alone he may try to harm me. There is no reason for treating people that receive certain benefits like this. The manager Tamara laughed and after she asked him what happened he was confidently repeated he called me a b. Alan wanted to refuse my services so he did.
