Lesson learned….. wait for your receipt even if you’re in a hurry.Fortunately I took photos of the mileage and fuel when I returned the car.I handed the key to the agent but when the receipt arrived in my email (during my flight) the odometer reading reflected 20 more miles than when I left it and the fuel was on 7/8 rather than FULL as it was actually when returned.Moral of the story - the Avis personnel are dishonest. Get your receipt!

I thought with going with Avis I would get better service. We waited close to an hour to get checked in and we were at a very small airport. Once we went outside we waited another 20 minutes for them to bring the car around. I was granted an upgrade but if the car I got was an upgrade I'm not sure I wanted to see the original car. The people at the check in counter were pleasant and the elderly lady that checked us in on return was great. I think next time I will try a different company.

Condition of Chevy Bolt was not as Agent indicated (was only partially charged). Windows and rear view mirror had not been wiped clean. Ability to get in touch with local agent (at airport) was poor. When I finally realized I needed to charge the car (after only 60 miles of driving) Avis customer service sent me to a charging station that had discontinued public charging (Volvo dealer). I was able to limp back to the airport where Avis gave me a gasoline car. The lack of proper electrical charge caused us to lose more than two hours of our limited time at the Pensacola Naval Air Museum!

Well, price is right and front desk was good. However, be prepared for the stone age once you get in the parking garage to pick up. Should have brought a blanket to send smoke signals. Crude and inefficient.

Usually get great service and vehicles from Avis. Not this time.Car was ok but I had to fill the tires with air twice during two day trip. The indicator doesn’t say which tire needed it just that it was low so I just had to blindly do it. When I was pulling back into the airport the service indicator came in. I let the person know and not expecting him to do anything on the spot but at least acknowledge what I’ve said or be sympathetic. Disappointed

Worse rental car experience in life! Car was an electrical vehicle, asked to change they said no. Car loss battery power quickly with no where to charge it! Very inconvenient!

Jacob at the PNS airport location was amazing. The customer service that I received (especially considering being located in the airport) was above and beyond!

As President Club Member was given a car with over 75,000 miles and was told that there was none available, just assigning that vehicle is unprofessional

Positive: Able to quickly get a vehicle to make a one way drive, and the vehicle was clean. Negative: The initial confirmation price was less than half of what the cost ended up being, which is misleading. Also, the associate who checked our vehicle in at the MSY airport location was rude and abrupt, as if we were an inconvenience.I had not seen the mileage fee, but it was pointed out by the agent at pickup, so I did expect that, however the confirmation email did not include the mileage estimate. This is incredibly easy to have the spreadsheet do with a quick calculation. That aside, the fees and charges were also less than what was actually charged. As the operator of both locations, those fees are known and should have been disclosed. Finally, the only car available was an electric, which is fine, but we were told we could make the entire drove from Pensacola to New Orleans without recharging. That is not what the energy meter said, so we had to recharge and take the time to do so when we had a close connection.Overall, it was quick to pick up and drop off the car, the car functioned well and was clean, but the disclosure of actual price was abysmal.

Got a great deal on an upgrade from a Toyota Rav 4 to a Mustang convertable for only $24/day more.

Do not prepay. If you do and come back early there is no discount. The higher price isn’t that bad versus not being credited a 1-2 day early return. But otherwise great cars and great crew!

The vehicle smelled of burnt marijuana. It was only one of that size left and I needed the seven seats since I was in town for my father’s funeral. I immediately had to purchase Frebreze in an attempt to mask the overwhelming smell. When brought to the agent’s attention, his reply was Yeah, unfortunately people don’t follow the rules. The vehicle had to be cleaned prior to me renting it, why wasn’t this situation addressed?

When arriving it wasn’t clear where to proceed for Avis preferred. When we finally received the rental it was extremely dirty. There were cookies in the glove box. The car wasn’t originally ready. The tank wasn’t full when we picked it up. Disappointing all around!
