I just want to say how great this place is. We chose this place 7 years ago because we got tired of staying in high rise condos with long elevator waits and long way to the beach. We wanted closer access. We wanted a clean room and kitchen. I grew up staying at the old Miracle Strip motel with my parents. I knew PCB way before those high rises took over. I wanted to get back to a mom and pop place. We're staying again this year in July. I refuse to stay anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are clean always and the view is beautiful and we are close to Pier Park and elevator wait time is short. I highly recommend The Osprey. I cant wait to get back soon.

We just returned from our annual trip to the beach and we always stay at Osprey. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always welcome us back. It's like going home again. The rooms are clean and we love our balcony to eat and watch the ocean from. We really enjoy sitting under the big umbrella catching a breeze and enjoying the view when it's too hot for the sun. It's a great place to visit.

Our new favorite place. Gulf front rooms with full kitchen. Private balcony. ON the beach! Clean and comfortable with a full kitchen, although the bedding could be better quality. (Probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed in!) Reasonable rates. And they block off covered parking for motorcycles during bike week - very considerate and much appreciated!

neither on their website nor on Expedia does it say anywhere that every occupant has to be at least 25 years of age. we booked over a month ago with specific ideas of where we wanted to be because it is spring break & we knew everything would book fast. at arrival to check in, we informed that myself at almost 26 years of age could not check in because my sister was 21 & our best friend was 23. they say they sent an email but when we physically gave them our phones to show the emails received from our trip booking, the woman at the front stated “i don't know but you can’t stay here” when she seen we didn’t actually receive said email. i asked for her name numerous times, & finally she told me her name was “Susie”. I don’t know if she was honest but it was a short & blonde older woman. when i asked for the name of management she told me she couldn’t give me that information. that right then is when my panic turned to anger. you’re telling me this man has ONE JOB & it’s to manage & WE CANT KNOW HIS NAME? absolutely the most unprofessional staff i have ever experienced & just blatantly disrespectful. they say they are family owned but all i know is someone needs to tell that family what’s happening at their hotel because this was honestly the worst experience with hospitality i have ever experienced.

I was nothing but over the moon for this trip I booked almost 2 months ago with Osprey. I loved everything about the property, hence why I was so excited to stay there and payed in advance to ensure I had the room for four whole days, until I came in contact with the most outwardly disrespectful office attendants. Susie and Larry, Susie being an office attendant, Larry being a manager, were dismissive of me because I am a young woman. When booking, I had to submit an id (my drivers license) and my credit card. Both were taken and ran when I made the booking with NO ISSUES ABOUT MY AGE AS IT IS CLEARLY ON MY IDENTIFICATION. Upon receiving at the front desk when I arrived for check in, Susie then told me that the person checking in must be 25. I said, okay no problem at all my sister is 25 and staying with us as well as myself (21) and our close friend (23). All being young females in an unfamiliar city, Susie told us to leave and suggested finding a motel while rolling her eyes at us and refusing to give us a managers name or phone number to dispute the situation, then stated that everyone occupying the room must be 25 (she claimed that I would have received an email stating that, I never did, I even went as far as giving Susie my phone to look through my email, she couldn’t even find the email making that claim). While stressed and down 700$, we had to scramble at almost 9 pm to find a place to stay or be stranded away from home which was then hours away. We were hung up on, ran in circles, and just completely dismissed for our concerns. Larry was very rude on the phone and said he didn’t want “people like us”, staying there (interpret that how you want). I was very confused what about my “kind” was not welcome. I would never any young women to go through what we had to last night, very scary situation and unfortunate we had to be in it. I really hope the owners of this family owned property take this situation into consideration. If I had known about it, I would have never proceeded with the booking, however, Osprey failed to inform me of any such rules and instead left me stranded.

Stayed overnight February 11th into the 12th, 2024 after the embassy Hilton a few hotels down was a waste of time and was pleased with my stay. The room has a ocean front, balcony view, spacious kitchenette and convenient parking. The elevator smelled wild but the room itself, the beds, and bathroom were very clean. The AC struggled a bit but wasn't awful. I would definitely recommend bringing your own pillow if you're a side sleeper as they were a bit mushy and flat. Thankfully there were extras in the closet. I would stay here again.
Walkability: Major Outlet mall and dining less then a half mile

We have just arrived a couple of days ago for a 10 week stay.
Rooms and area are very clean and well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We look forward to many more years of coming here for our winter getaway. Lots of activities to enjoy, cards, shuffleboard, cornhole, 3 pools and a hot tub.
Rates are very reasonable.
We have made several new friends just in the short time here. Full kitchen with dishes, pots, toaster, coffee maker etc.
Great view of gulf from large balcony.
Rooms are quiet and no sound from neighbors. Highly recommend for shirt or long vacations.

We've stayed here for a couple of years and the only complaint we've had is with a couple of guests . At the small pool they were teaching their teens to dive and doing belly busters their selves and then laughing when they splash you in the face is wrong . The hotel is older but clean and they will do everything to make your stay a good one, We will return. I love the management here, they are vey nice and treat you like family.

Overall this was a pleasant place to stay. The views are unbeatable and the housekeeping staff was AWESOME as was the gentleman who checked us out.I didn't have any problems but as a bi-annual guest of many similar properties for over a week at a time I noticed a few things: no paper towels in the kitchen portion of the room (we ultimately just bought a roll). As others have mentioned there are strange looks given when you let the front desk know you don't want housekeeping services daily (and on one occasion a warning that for "security purposes" they will have to enter the room every few days). I agree with former reviewers that there should be "Do Not Disturb" signs. My main issue was that I had booked a room next door at their Driftwood property because I prefer low-rise motels. Upon arrival to the Osprey where one checks in, the woman at the desk said she had us in a room there. When I corrected her that my reservation was for next door (she clearly wasn't involved in the move) another woman popped out of the office and said something about a balcony at the Driftwood being in disrepair and that they had "upgraded" us to the Osprey. On the scope of things I know how petty it is for me to even mention this but to me it was more about how nothing was said about it until I acknowledged it and it felt like they were hoping they wouldn't even have to mention it. And after all that they were doing all sorts of repairs and window blind replacements and painting so I feel like really they were just working on the rooms and decided to move us over for that purpose. The room prices, at least in December, are extraordinarily reasonable and for that I was immensely grateful.

Rooms are simple but very clean, spacious and beautiful ocean front view. Bathrooms have separate room with tub and toilet from bathroom sink which was extremely helpful with many getting ready. Kitchen was efficient with dishes and limited amount of cookware, stove and full size fridge with ice trays. No ice machine. Pools well maintained. Ramil at desk was fantastic! Close enough to walk to Pier Park and restaurants.
