The employees they do have are friendly and helpful, but the DG gameplan of hiring 1 or 2 employees to do the work of 4 or more, really shows here with a terrible shopping experience. Extremely long lines, and of course, there will never be more than one register open at this store. Why? You may ask? Well, they ripped the second register out to install a self check out, which is now permanently closed. They say it’s because of theft. DG corporate needs to get their head out of the clouds and realize the main reason for the rampant theft is mostly due to lack of employees. Kind of hard when you’re playing the role of cashier, stocker, janitor, and customer service all at the same time. I have never stolen anything in my life, but this store has really made me want to pass them a bank note for a little more than the items I have on my way out the door and skip the line. Pretty sure lots of their customers have stolen not so much because they didn’t want to pay, but out of sheer frustration. I avoid them his store like the plague now. I wrote this entire review while standing in a line 10 deep with one cashier. And they wonder why they can’t keep employees and why the entire staff including management have walked out of some stores!
