Made my rental reservation on the Southwest Airlines website. When I arrived at the Panama City airport in the evening, desk agents were ready to process my paperwork. They were kind and friendly. They offered other car options if I needed a larger car, etc, which I did not need. Car rental return was also very easy at the airport since there was an agent out in the parking lot who greeted me and took my keys. Great car rental experience! Nice people. ?

Not the normal Budget Service I've previously received. Requested a mid-size pick up, Toyota Tacoma, but not only was that vehicle not available, no mid-size pickup was available. There was no free upgrade offered. However the only vehicle available was a full size pickup which was way too big.Then at return, it took over three days to get an e-mail receipt...which didn't occur until after I received a text advising me my rental was three days overdue!! How alarming! Two phone calls to rectify this and then an e-mail was sent to me.

Price listed was NOT what I paid by any means. I paid almost three times the amount advertised. I rented a Camry. The total advertised was $340. My total came to $540 with “taxes and fees”. I got 800 miles away and they said I had to pay a $200 deposit. Didn’t have a Camry said they only had a mustang but I’d have to pay $20 more a day to rent it. They said don’t worry the difference would just be taken out the $200 deposit. So tell me how I was still charged $318 on my card after the fact My total rental cost was over $850. I feel like I was just legally robbed.

Rented a Chevrolet Malibu. for a 4 cyl it has a peppy engine. Drove over 1500 miles, and it averaged about 37mpg, mostly highway & in the mountains. My only beef was no blind spot sensors.Customer service tried to get me to upgrade to a more expensive vehicle, but they were friendly and helpful.

Update: Corporate refunded my gas charges. Keep your eye on these ECP people....Original post: The wait time to get the car was ridiculous. The keys for the vehicle I got for hanging there the whole time while we waited for two different people for the exact car that they reserved. The line couldn't move until they were finished apparently. Now that I return my car, I was charged for 3 gallons of gas @ $9.99. I topped it off 6.8 miles from here and made sure it was totally full. I would understand being charged for a gallon. I believe this is a scam the airport people are running. They tried to tell everyone in line that that gas station doesn't have fuel all the time so everyone needs to pay a head. I will try to avoid budget at all costs from here on out.

Shady airport rental car practices going on here. First, they tried to charge me an extra day for my rental because I was late. I wasn’t late but, when you drop off the keys, you just drop them in the box with no time stamp or anything. Fortunately I had taken a picture of the mileage so the picture was time stamped and there was a clock on the dashboard too to verify the time I dropped the car off. Keep in mind your rental starts at the counter too, not when you get to the car so that are up 20 minutes of my rental period. The customer service rep tells me, since it was only a few minutes I’ll take the charge off. I said, it wasn’t only a few minutes I wasn’t late and I have the pictures to prove it. Second, they overcharged me on the gas. I told them I wanted the gas option where they fill it up because it actually was cheaper than the station down the street. But for some reason they charged me $9.99 a gallon rather than the $3 something a gallon I should have been charged. Overall, check your receipt and be your own advocate and watch out for yourself because they are going to try and get one over on you at any opportunity they can find. They’re just hoping it’s going to be charged to some corporate account where nobody questions the charges. Don’t rent from Budget.

The prices at this Budget rental location in Panama City Beach FL at the Airport are astronomically outrageous and people are being robbed at these prices. On the contrary, at other locations I’ve paid a substantially lower cost than $1170.38 for a three day rental, which is ridiculously absurd and consumer robbery. For the public’s Situational awareness, I rented a large SUV, which was a Ford Expedition XL, which they consider luxury. For the record, Ford is not considered Luxury. Consumers please beware of the high cost rentals at this location who utilizes the Beach as a prop to up their cost.

First time Budget renter and not pleased with the overall experience. Made reservations two months in advance. When I arrived at the airport agents were steady pulling keys from Fastbreak packets to take care of customer upgrade request. Unfortunately my packet was one of many missing keys. After a two hour wait I received the vehicle requested. Upon leaving overheard an irate customer upset about his missing SUV…..apparently I received his car and the process repeats.During drop off the rental agent wanted to charge me a one hour late fee. I explained the situation and after a slightly heated conversation he opted to waive the fee considering the timer started from my original reservation and the pickup agent was kind enough to note the issue in my file. The drop off agent made a very interesting comment that his location averages 125 reservations a day but they only have 50 cars. He said I was lucky to even get a car and should be happy with the outcome.I have rented many cars through the years and understand the stresses CV19 had on the industry. I’m just surprised at the new normal certain chains take with customers and overall experience. Maybe just a bad day for Budget and myself. I hope they can improve their service because the do provide an affordable rental process with a huge selection of cars.

Budget Rental at the Panama City Airport in Florida is great. The customer service picking up and dropping off was pleasant. The ease of the location is exceptional and the SUV was ideal for my families needs.

I had a great experience! Reservation was easy the pick up at Panama City airport was easy and the drop off was easy. I will definitely go with Budget again next time I’m visiting family in Florida.

Horrible experience. First car was smoked in and had bald tires. Traded that one for another for more money of course. That took another hour with grandchildren in tow. Second car key fob did not work. Had to manually use key to open vehicle. Vehicle would not start most times. When I told clerk she said I should have come back. I wasn’t wasting my vacation taking 3 hours to go back. I looked for a remote battery. Could not find one. Clerks attitude was unprofessional. I told her I wanted the other employee to help me. She wouldn’t shut up. She started laughing and mocking me. I was horrified. I was over charged. I was not charged per reservation. I want my money back. I will report this incident. What’s most disturbing is our grandchildren witnessed this employees attitude and unprofessional behavior and even asked what was wrong with her.

There is no transparency in their pricing. My 300.00 rental turned into 413.00 after I returned the car. If it was going to be 413.00 tell me that so I can make a. Informed decision. It was just wrong!

I would love to give a 5 star rating, but we were heavily pressured to upgrade. I told the rep we wanted the Corolla we asked for but she kept trying to “suggestive sell” us something we didn’t want. She was nice enough but it seemed maybe she gets a percentage of the upgrade.

Rented Chrysler Voyager for 3 weeks family trip. It’s a great car no major complains except for couple of things.Right of the bat driver’s front side tire was slowly losing pressure .Went from 32 to 25 in like 2 days. While all others did hold 38/39 the whole trip. I literally had to add more air every other day to avoid possible flat.On top of that, the wiper fluid dispenser did not work. I filled it all the way thinking it was dry empty but it still did not gave a drop. Lucky for us, we hardly had any rain but still, driving around for 3 weeks I had to manually clean my front windshield on a daily.Overall not a huge deal but still, you guys should maintain/check basic functions of your rentals with more care. People’s lives depend on it.

Received a car with tags that were 3 months expired, resulting in me getting pulled over on vacation. After filling up to return the car, I found out that I did not receive the car with a full tank. 0% oil life. I prepaid to find out from Budget employees that this is not recommended because Budget often double charges and it takes forever to get to someone who can actually issue a refund, which I have first hand experience with from a prior Budget rental. I’m done. Will gladly take my business elsewhere.
