This place is absolute Hell. The Dr had a terrible bedside manner and the staff were absolutely HORRIBLE. It took over two months to get my daughters glasses and when I called to ask about them they said the place had only sent one lense and not the other one so she "Guessed" they were out of them. Couldn't tell me when they would be in and when I mentioned that Noone had even bothered to call us to tell us she just said "sorry". Waited a month and called back again and they said they tried to call a few weeks ago but no answer and that they were ready. I guess they didn't feel the need to call us back again. They never told me that my daughter couldn't be underage and pick up her glasses even after I told them she would be driving an hour up there. My daughter got there and they were so rude to her and when I called I fi ally got thrm to let me send something giving her peemison to pick them up.When I mentioned that they had been rude from the first day we came to them she snarkly said "Well we match what we get" um Noone was rude to your short stubby self until you got a stank attitude from the first phone call. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I had to delete my previous review as I have more to add. 3 for 3 this doctor has gotten my prescription, my grandmothers prescription, and my mothers prescription wrong. We’ve all had to pay out of pocket to see a better doctor not even a month after having an appointment with this doctor. Not only is he incredibly rude, egotistical, demanding, irritating, ignorant, and aggressive to his patients… the office itself is extremely run down, outdated, they’ve got glasses from the 80’s and 90’s in there to choose from. Poor hygiene, maintenance, and poorly organized and run. I honestly don’t know how this place is still passing state inspections and hasn’t been shut down. It is clearly filled with black mold and mildew. Really wish there was a way to get my money back because all they did was mess me up honestly.

SAVE YOURSELF AND BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!I wanted so badly to be okay with this office and Staff, I also wanted to support a small business..... I literally couldn't!First off, the entire office feels and looks as if will fall apart at any moment. The selection of eyewear is minute and not on trend. The equipment is EXTREMELY dated as well as the seating. There was no effort to sanitize ANYTHING other than the eyewear that was tried on by me.When I sat down to do the first visual field test; I waited for the staff to wipe down the chin holder and brow strap - She looked confused as to why I wasn't in position already.... So i did as instructed and then waited to see if she would wipe it down afterwards, she did not. While waiting to see the Dr. I looked for glasses. While looking the Dr. had other patients and gave exams in a small room off the lobby with the door open and gave the patients no privacy.I finally get called into the exam room 30 min after my appt time. Dr Bozarte begins to ask me several questions and does not allow me to completely answer any of them. He decided that he knew what I was saying without a complete answer and then it turned into a miscommunication where I had to abruptly explain to him that he wasn't allowing me to finish my answer and that his assumption was wrong. (I had to tell him that I currently wear progressives - he thought I didn't)Again once the exam started nothing that touched my face was wiped down or sanitized even a little- NO ATTEMPT WHAT SO EVER WAS MADE TO CLEAN ANYTHING.During the exam, I had to bring my knees to my chest because the Dr. positioned himself over me where his genitals were sat on my knee... .. .Once I finally decided on frames I sat down to order the lenses, I prefer to get transitions as well as progressives. I need the upgraded progressives due to my work, they offer a larger clear-visual field. I asked for the progressive info sheet so that I could get the right style, the assistant helping me had no idea what I was asking for so she requested the help of the front desk staff to DRAW ON A PIECE OF PAPER what the visual field will look like. When I asked her if they offered upgraded progressives, she told me that what I was asking about did not exist. At this point, I was not comfortable ordering my glasses and told them as much and they were VERY HAPPY to let me take the RX elsewhere. From the first phone call to make the appt to the exit of the office, the experience was farrrr from desirable. The staff and the Dr are not friendly or professional and the Dr needs to retire.

Can't leave 0 stars. Entire office was rude. My husband needed contacts. After the exam (where the Dr didn't wear a mask & coughed in my husband's face), the Dr said, "I don't see what part of this you don't understand" (very condescending) when my husband said he couldn't see up close. The Dr told him he had to pick clear vision up close or far away, not both (this is a lie as this has never been an issue & the new place we went got it right without issues & the staff was fabulous). They had 1 bathroom for patients to use & for washing hands to put in contacts. The front desk lady treated my husband like he was a prisoner when she told him to use the kitchen sink, but wouldn't even let him touch the faucet; she kept telling him "don't touch anything". He had to wear readers over his contacts to offset what they gave him. Will never go back there.

I’m torn between 2-3 stars. I was seen before the 4th of July holiday. On one hand, they have the availability and will get you in very quick…. Like within a week/week and a half.On the other hand, the entire facility is in what feels like an old house. The waiting room, the eyeglasses, and the staff are all bunched in one room. They’ve turned the kitchen into another office like room.I’ve worn glasses my entire life. The equipment felt, old? I don’t know how to explain it. They didn’t do nearly as much as my regular annual. There’s a single room where the doctor sees you. All other testing and sorts are done out in front of everyone. The doc doesn’t shut the door between patients. Everyone can hear everyone’s business.I try to put the facility itself aside. It’s just a space. The doctor appeared competent and knowledgeable. While the staff was nice to me, I could tell they were rude (and loud about) with their phone calls. Patients awkwardly looked at one another. This doesn’t surprise me I guess seeing the reviews now. They also had to verify my insurance a few times… despite me providing them the exact info every time. I was told I would have to be a self pay despite knowing I had 0 out of pocket. Based on (very loud) convos I heard today, they told at least 2-3 other people that as well despite them seemingly insisting they too had insurance. I’m not sure what’s up with that one, but at the end of the day, my insurance covered it.The doctor doesn’t chitchat. He’s very straight to the point. I could tell he’s pretty much verbatim with every patient in terms of how he asks what they can see, etc. I was dilated and called back in almost immediately. Oddly enough, I went home and my eyes never actually dilated so I also don’t know what that’s about or why they didn’t dilate… I’ve never had issues with that before nor have I ever been called back so quickly without having time for it to set.In short, doc is Knowledgeable. The staff could be more professional. The setting can also be overlooked.I will say that the other reviews are accurate so heed the warning. If you’re in a pinch, they have availability… if you can wait, I would wait.PS the staff DID wipe down the equipment after I utilized it! The bathroom was clean. There was soap to be utilized.

I went in to 7/11/2023 my first visit, the Dr. Bazarte was so rude when I walked in the room and ignored that I even spoke to him, then he spoke to me in a very condensing and rude manner on anything I was trying to tell him , like I was totally stupid. He came with in an inch of calling me a liar. I ended the visit told him he was rude, then he screamed at me all the way to the door as I was trying to leave. I am reporting him to everyone I can think of. DO NOT GO TO BAY VISION!!

My glasses broke I called my eye Dr but it would be 3 weeks and another 3 weeks for glasses and they are very $$$ I called bay vision they got me in the next day. I came for my eyes not to make friends. The doctor took time with me and he gave me more advice in my eyes then my other eye Dr. I like 1 doctor not so many that you never know.I ordered designer frames ( never before ) and lens that change color in the sun. I got my glasses 8 days later ! Not 3 weeks. They are wonderful. The staff spent time with me to make sure they fit gave me advice on how to care for them. The total cost I was surprised I saved 200.00 ! This is a great eye care. They are my new eye doctor for sure. Il!! They are 10 stars !

they were very unclean with their processes and procedures, and taking shortcuts, like adding water to soap, dispensers is horrible extremely, when you’re dealing with peoples eyes more importantly, the doctor had the nerve to scratch his lottery tickets and proceed to try to maneuver, contacts lens with the same fingers, without washing his hands in my eyeball, and got a little agitated because I voiced my concerns as I should, which is more concerning because as a professional, I shouldn’t have to tell you about washing your hands then I noticed, as I’m leaving his soap dispenser was actually empty and the lady who’s running the office spent a good three minutes filling up a soap dispenser with more water very sad so unfortunately, being in a small city with little to no resources they can write you a prescription. Just hope you don’t get sick afterwards with all of that contact that was clearly unsanitary, also they have no options for frame where in customer service is horrible

they're located in a very small place obviously so they're kind of a last resort but ultimately they did service my need. Hopefully I don't get sick later since washing hands was not some thing that the clinic felt important or a necessity and more importantly, the doctor was scratching lottery tickets and then proceeded to put his hands in my eyes to adjust contacts and what makes it even worse. he had the nerve to huff and puff and act like he had a attitude because I said something to him about it like that's unsanitary don't you recall how Covid started and IF THE doctor NASTY Because that's what that was nasty and things cutting corners to add water into their soap, they are doing adjust causes keeping patients in their facilities safe so NOOO I don't refer anyone to go there

I would attempt to find another eye center if I was you. I had a very bad experience. First off the staff is rude, rather it be on the phone or in person. I have insurance and something came up the day of my appointment. I called in 5.5 to 6 hours before my appointment to let them know I had to reschedule, that advised I would be charged a $25 reschedule fee. Are you kidding me? If you can run a business better then that you need a different profession. That did it for me, I won't go and I'll never be back. Ridiculous!!!!!!!

Be careful!!! I left mid way through my exam because Dr. Bazarte lost his temper and yelled at me, telling me I wasn't happy with "Gods eyes" and maybe I would be happier with bionic eyes. I am a traveling NICU nurse and travel sometimes at night to get back home to my family. After having a decline in my night vision and feeling unsafe driving at night, I decided to seek an eye exam. Dr. Bazarte will no longer be my eye doc and I hope to warn others of his abusive, unstable, and unprofessional actions. Seriously, please be careful!

Go anywhere other than here. You will not get what you ordered and then the staff is so rude as to make you feel as if were your fault. Please understand I say this so you won't waste your time and money.

DO NOT recommend this doctor!!!! BEWARE!!!!! I went with my 24 year old daughter for an eye exam visit. Immediately walking in the front door the receptionist was rude. The only kind thing she said was “bless you” to my daughter when she sneezed. We had Starbucks drinks with us and my daughter place her cup on the counter to check in and the lady told her to take the cup off. Then when Dr. Bazarte called her back he called her by the wrong name and I corrected him and he didn’t apologize. literally less than a minute she’s in there with him, he begins yelling at her because she didn’t take her contacts off at night. There is a kinder way to explain things to patients/clients without yelling at them. He’s just rude and condescending and just not kind.My poor daughter didn’t even want to look at frames. She just picked one frame to try on and just really wanted to leave immediately after exam without trying several different frames. The staff in this office has no warmth and they definitely all need to work on being nice!
