I had a packaged return to JCPenney, I had already spent time talking to JCPenney about the return AND UPS….. When I walk in to Palmetto location to drop off the package, there are no areas specifically labeled “Amazon” or “UPS”. So I ask where their drop off pile or bin is for UPS and her response was I must wait in line and repackage my package. It was shipped to me via UPS in the EXACT box that I had already confirmed I could send it back in. Instructions were to “cover up any mailing barcodes and tape box and place shipping label on it.” I did just that. Box was neat and intact.
Well the UPS man shows up precisely while I’m being told lies by this woman so I just ran out the door and handed the package to the UPS driver and he confirmed there was nothing wrong with the packaging.
So what was supposed to be an “easy” “drop off” at a UPS location, (advertised by both JCPenney AND UPS) turned into getting attitude at UPS location. She was just trying to make a sale on every UPS drop off coming through the door. Had she been honest and just said “you have to buy something to drop off here” then I would have respected that. Trying to convince me that I needed another box or brown paper was a lie and misinformation.
My bestie worked and owned a UPS location….. walking distance to me won’t matter anymore because guess what ? CVS across the street has UPS drop off as well. Won’t ever be back here and I’ll be telling my neighbors about this location making UPS policies up and taking away the ease of drop off. JCPenney will be hearing about it as well because if people like Palmetto UPS location are doing this and ruining the ease of their returns than they need to go with another shipping company….. Or UPS just needs to drop Palmetto location for misinforming and inconsistencies.

Customer service is absolutely piss poor. The kids that work here have major attitudes every time me or a family member has been there. They don't let you use the tape, and nit pick everything to be difficult.These kids need guidance. I'll go elsewhere for now on!!!

Fastest, friendliest, most efficient UPS store. Employees were extremely helpful and instrumental in getting customers taken care of. This place is Staffed. I received help from Barry on my visit. Exceeded my expectations as I was out of my office today.

Ever since this store added the "do it yourself kiosks", the customer service has disappeared. Instead of assisting customers, you walk in, and they point at the kiosks and tell you to do it yourself. I'm not comfortable using these types of machines, and want the clerk to assist me to insure the package is processed correctly. Self checkout works for some-I prefer to work with a live person. To have a clerk lean on the counter, and try to tell you what needs to be done, is nothing but laziness on their part. When they figure out you need help, and have to walk out from behind the counter, it's like you're a "stupid person attitude" they bring with them. In the future, I'll be taking my packages to Amazon via Whole Foods-this company doesn't want my business.......
