SEGD excels as a nonprofit organization. You feel the energy and commitment whether you visit their beautiful campus or simply interact with them via phone or email. I was determined to be a volunteer puppy raiser as soon as I had my first phone call. SEGD does important work that truly makes a difference in each life they touch! I am so glad that SEGD is a part of my life and others!!!

What an amazing place! Southeastern Guide Dogs leaves no stone unturned when it comes down to preparing you for your new partner to walk this journey called life with. Their campus in Palmetto Florida for me, was that of a sanctuary (a refuge, a safe place) that not only allowed me to feel safe, but to also be prepared and trained to begin my life as a proud first time Guide Dog owner. Their State of the art campus was immaculate. All of the staff, including volunteers were professional, polite, and sincere. I can’t speak highly enough about this place and about the loving care and training that goes into each one of the dogs to support anyone that’s in need of their help and support. Thank you so much SEGI for all that you’ve done for so many like myself and others. And a great big THANK YOU to all of the Sponsors and Puppy Raiser's that helps to make this all possible.

First let me say that I am one of the people responsible for this company being in Florida. As a long time member of Lions I helped to get it here over objections of many other members. Secondly, I approached SE for a dog as my service dog had passed and was told that I don't qualify in a very rude comment by the staff. I am a Vietnam Veteran, United States Marine with PTSD. I have problems with walking but that would not prevent me from walking with a service dog so trained. I spoke with a physician friend of mine who annually donates a lot of money to the organization. I don't think he will be supporting it this year. Sincerely Gordon Kuhn

When I picked up my 1st puppy, Stevie (yellow male lab), I was a little nervous that I wasn’t cut out for a big job like puppy raising. But thanks to the abundance of support, psychically, mentally, and financially, I was able to raise Stevie to be such a good boy who is now a college freshman. I am raising my second puppy, Banana (black male lab), currently. Both boys have been handfuls in their own ways but SEGD has so much support that will help you through the highs and lows. I’m so honored to be a part of such a beautiful mission!

As a graduate of the guide dog program, I'm grateful for such an amazing organization. The level of commitment from all of the staff and trainers reflects in the dogs. It's an amazing organization full of passionate people.

Please may you educate your puppy raisers + trainers to be respectful when encountering service dogs teams not from within your company? Seems a shame to ruin the name of such a good org

Wonderful amazing organization providing service dogs to any era veteran in need of a service dog. They will answer your questions if thinking about a service dog for a Veteran. If you are unsure... Ask about how a service dog could help change a life in a positive direction!

Seemed too good to be true, but everything about this company is simply the best. South Eastern Guide Dogs is leading this industry and lives up to the hype. Excellent service and commitment to the dogs and the people.

Being a puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs is an amazing experience! There is a huge support system around you with plenty of puppy sitters if you need a break! Southeastern Guide Dogs also pays for veterinary care and provides packs to get raisers started including toys, treats, leashes, treat pouches, etc. I am raising my second dog for them, because of the people! When it was time to turn in the first dog I raised, they were literally cheering me on as I entered the campus!
