This place needs to be bulldozed and turned into housing. Mostly dirt and burned out grass fairways. Greens bumpier than a gravel road. Sand traps filled with beach sand full of sea shells. Clubhouse mostly empty with very limited options. Worst course in Sarasota-Bradenton area. Spend $25 more and play somewhere with grass.

If I could give a zero I would, I’ve play here multiple times and it’s terrible. It’s $40 in the afternoon which is a joke and it’s not well kept in the slightest. This is a good course to play if you have never seen a golf club in your life only because it’s a ghost town. Last two times I have been there they closed at 3 because no one was there. Course owner is just waiting to sell it to a builder. Go to buffalo creek and save yourself the trouble. DO NOT GOLF HERE.

Really like the layout of this course! They recently aerated the greens, but did a good job sanding and rolling the greens. It will be my new go to course when I'm visiting here. Played 3 times this week and looking forward to more.

This is not a 65.00 golf course at all, no ball washers on holes, looks like a cow pasture on some holes, no water coolers. I’d pay at most 40.00 for this course, there are a whole lot nicer courses close to this one for the same money or 5 bucks more! Very disappointed!

This is one of the worst courses I have ever played. Makes sense now that it's one of the cheapest courses around, even at $50 a round. The tee boxes are nothing but sand and weeds. The fairways are dead grass and dirt patches everywhere, the rough is basically unplayable, it's all sand spots and dirt, and the greens are covered in weeds. No water on the course. All the ball washers are empty or broken, no food cart, the bar inside is closed. Next time I spend the extra $30 and go somewhere else

Course layout has potential but facility is falling apart. And tee boxes are straight weeds. Course is rough and extremely over priced.

While Moccasin Wallow Golf Club holds promise for a wonderful future, its current state is marred by poor management practices. It's disheartening to witness the potential of this course overshadowed by neglect and mismanagement.
Upon arrival, one is greeted by an empty pro shop, a disappointing sight that sets the tone for the rest of the experience. The bar, which should serve as a social hub for golfers, is perpetually closed, leaving patrons without a place to unwind after a round.
The course itself is in dire need of attention. The greens are virtually nonexistent, overrun by weeds that detract from the overall aesthetic and playability. It's evident that maintenance efforts have fallen short, with weeds encroaching on fairways and roughs alike.
To add to the frustration, amenities essential for a comfortable round are lacking. The closure of facilities as early as 4 pm is inconvenient, especially for those hoping to enjoy a leisurely twilight game. Even the simple act of purchasing a bottle of water becomes a challenge, highlighting the club's disregard for basic customer needs.
Ultimately, a visit to Moccasin Wallow Golf Club feels like a waste of both time and money. It's disappointing to see such potential squandered due to neglectful management practices. Unless significant changes are made, it's difficult to envision a bright future for this course. Sadly, it seems destined for sale and redevelopment, a fate that reflects the failure of those entrusted with its stewardship.

Event at $35 this course is a joke. If you want to play on a pasture, please make a tee time. Most of us avg golfers want a descent venue to enjoy as we try to break 95. No cart on the course. Bar closed at 4:00. Plenty of better options in the $35-$50 range. Do not waste a day on this course.

Same old song and dance. I have come to realize that in Florida you have three golf seasons. Good greens season that runs from Oct-May then you have good fairway season that runs from May-Oct. Then in early summer and early fall you get lucky and have about a month crossover when you get some of both. But that time goes by quick a so you better pounce. As for the "MOC" Anytime you pull in a parking lot at 2:30 on a Saturday and there are maybe ten cars you should know something. Grass in the fairways was for the most part nonexistent. They can grow grass as evident of the driving range, it was plush. Much like Notworth (Wentworth) it is a great layout just lousy conditions. I don't get it!
Same old song and dance! Courses in Florida just can't grow grass where its needed!

Course charged $65 to play. I don't really mind that the fairways didn't have much grass or if was patchy...but if u r gonna charge over $50. Please don't have landmine grass weeds on the green.

I should have understood why there were so many tee times available this time of year. Very rough conditions. Nice layout which loses luster because of conditions. The young lady in the clubhouse was pleasant.

No signs to find the club. Decent course. Issue I have is that the fairway and the rough look the same. Back nine was in way better shape and easier to Play. With priceless this high you need to water your course. Down in Florida these courses should be picture tv perfect condition. Any round over 60 bucks needs to correctly aquire that price range.
