I hope you never need a minor repair...
Due to recent rains, I checked on my tank since there was water in the box and noticed a few bubbles around one of the fittings. I called and reported the tiny propane leak this morning (Saturday) and within 30 minutes someone came and disconnected the propane from the tank and left a hanger on my windshield.
They never knocked on the door, told me they were here or that they were shutting off the propane (leaving my family with no stove or hot water). The hanger says someone will call me to schedule repair, there is no local phone number to reach someone to find out any update and 8 hours later, no phone call.
I've called the main number and spoke to the oversees call center, which was a waste of time. I've been a happy customer for many years and hope I can update this review with good news and 5 stars if they respond. For now, a very dissatisfied family.
Update: 5 days later and finally a repair tech came out. This was their first "urgent" appointment, which I booked on Monday after calling multiple times.
I spoke to two people in the "resolutions" team and they both assured me that I would get a call back and that it should be an emergency repair based on the situation. After Monday, I gave up calling them. Ask for a direct number to someone who can help you, it doesn't exist.
I learned that they closed all local offices so if you want to speak to a local person, you're stuck with the call center's scripted responses and Amerigas empty promises.
The repair tech actually called me ahead of time and made a prompt & free repair, which was just replacing the regulator. Nice to have hot water and be able to cook again.

This is the worst experience ever! They just don’t care about their customers. First the new and poor online system to set the autopay was a totally a mess. Then I requested an emergency delivery that they don’t take as an emergency but they just charge me to call it “emergency delivery” and after 48 hours they haven’t come to delivery. So why they call it emergency? Just to take some extra money.

If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. The customer service was at about a 2 prior to being outsourced to people who can’t reach the local offices or drivers.

In the past we relied on calling Amerigas when we thought we needed gas. Well one time we emptied the tank. Since then we now rely on their time frame for a needed delivery. Now each time they deliver the tank has been about 1/3 full and we are not in danger of running out.

The absolute worst I have ever had from a company. Because of the poor experience (from every aspect of the company- service, execution, and “help” desk) I will be canceling my service when the tank empties.
