Was quoted one price and given a reference number to be able to pay online…paid and was then called and told the information that the customer service rep filled out was incorrect and suddenly my quote was raised over double the original quote. Will never use this company. Wouldn’t recommend anyone that ships freight to use them either. I didn’t fill anything out online, the customer service rep filled everything out for me, and they switched it from the original quote where they told me it was class 50 to class 100. Well as it turn out…according to all the actual reputable sites…its class 70 so the customer service people probably need more training in learning how to fill out their own quotes when speaking to a customer. This company quotes the lowest possible to get business and then price gouges you

They show you how much you can make as a salesperson and then you come to find out even their top salespeople are living paycheck to paycheck. Plastic, fake niceties, a game room and break room and the occasional pizza, it’s the exact kind of office job you see in movies where the main character leaves to go do something much cooler. Don’t expect to make friends there either, they frown on you talking to coworkers & if you’re struggling with anything, help won’t come if it affects someone else’s break time or bottom line. I’m sure you could get a cheap rate for roadrunner through them, that’s about it.

Christopher Holder from Freight Center.com really delivered!
I needed to move my home workshop from the garage of my condo in NJ to my garage in Hawaii. It would be a residential to residential ground floor move. I had never needed to ship anything by freight before and didn’t know how to begin. I first looked at companies that drop a cube at your home for self loading and then return a few days later to retrieve it. Living in a condo with strict HOA rules meant I had no place to drop a cube for days and I had no way to load a pod using my ceiling mounted hoist on machines weighing as much as 1,000 lbs each. Not all cube companies provide service to Hawaii and those that did had a weight limit smaller than what I needed and would require multiple cubes. I also wasn’t sure how to secure heavy, odd shaped items in a moving cube. I also tried to get moving and rigging companies in NJ to quote loading a pod in NJ and contacted Hawaii moving and rigging companies to unload the pod at the final destination in Hawaii. Those inquires didn’t result in any firm quotes. I also looked for online quotes at many different freight companies and found that Freightcenter.com used a very powerful and easy to use calculator to get insight on dealing with moving freight. I decided that I could get some pallets and build my own crates that could safely protect my equipment or buy ready-made crates online and customize the inside. I used the Freightcenter.com calculator to determine the most cost effective size, weight and shapes of crates I would need to build or buy for my needs. No other company I found could easily and instantly provide residential to residential shipping quotes with lift-gate service. I decided to reach out to Freightcenter.com and was lucky enough to get connected with Christopher Holder. Christopher was so professional, helpful and patient dealing with me and walking me through a process I was totally unfamiliar with. He answered and explained all the confusing things like Bill of Lading, Weight Class and how to properly label my items for shipping, in a manner that even I could understand. I communicated with Christopher by email and phone on almost a daily basis for a few weeks and he helped ease my concerns and always responded immediately to my ridiculous questions. I explained to him that I was months away from needing his services and that didn’t change his professionalism at all. There was always caring professionalism and never any pressure to buy. Other companies I contacted inquiring about various services often told me to call back when I was serious. Months later I reached out again after packing everything up and everything happened as planned. Christopher handled everything just as he said he would. I didn’t have to deal with anyone but him from beginning to end. I was very happy with the cost and the expected pick-up and delivery schedule. On pick-up day everything went as planned and everything arrived as planned. I wish I had moved some household goods using Christopher Holder and Freightcenter.com instead of the moving company we used. I highly recommend Freightcenter.com and especially Christopher Holder.

Crooked as they come. Shipped a pallet from.my buisiness. Weighed with our floor scale at 1190lbs and with the integrated scale on our forklift at 1192lbs. Was quoted for 1200lb pallet. Then was charged for a 240lb overweight + a residential pickup+ and liftgate service. We loaded the truck at our commercial buisiness with our forklift into a truck that didn't even have a lift gate on it. Total overkill of $622. 00 after I already paid for the delivery. Theft by swindle. And this will go to court. The bbb. The secretary of states office. The states attorneys office. And any other agency that will talk to us.

This is CSAM. You will not ship nothing through them, and they charge 20% for not doing nothing.
Placed an order 06/14, was supposed to pick up on 06/17. No truck showed up, rescheduled pick up for next day. Same story. No truck to pick up a load.
And you cannot cancel with them, you will have to pay 20% for you waisting your time

They are scammers. As soon as you give them your credit card they will charge you additional cost for any stupid reason. They are organized to scam. Example: the driver stays on the delivery site for more than the time it is supposed to stay they charge you the extra time (even if he stays there to play with the phone). They use as evidence the gps of the truck. STOP TO SCAM PEOPLE!

Horrible service! Don't waste your time. Booked an automotive transmission shipment on 5-21. Price was raised almost 30% for "door to door" service with a pallet jack. Ok I understand and we continue with the transaction. Pick up was scheduled for 5-22. Driver showed up at the end of the day of 5-23 and would not wait 10 minutes for us to print the BOL. Driver was rude to our shop staff and left. We called on 5-23 at 5pm and explained we will cancel the shipment due to a rude and inpatient driver. I was told by Shana if we cancelled there would be a 20% fee. I explained how upset I was over the fact that the driver was a day late and how rude he was. I was told by Shana a manager would call me on 5-24 to review and to try to get a resolution. No one called. I called today on 5-28 and ironically got Shana back on the phone. No manager available to discuss and no update on a pick up of the automotive transmission. They are still trying to bill me for the 20% even though they can't seem to get a driver here to pick up the automotive transmission, and no managers are available to discuss the issues at hand. Best advise is stay away from this brokerage firm.

Great experience on shipping with FreightCenter and Christopher Holder as our account manager. He is always in touch and trying to find the best rate for each shipment. We were using FreightCenter several times for shipping luxury musical equipment and will surely contact them again if we have a need. Here our company found the best level of service without delays and the comprehensive support. Will gladly recommend this service to all our partners.

Before speaking with Christopher Holder at Freight Center I had no experience shipping freight across the US. I had a set of dishes to send from New York to Seattle. The dishes had sentimental value and I was hoping they would make it cross country without damage. Chris walked me through what I needed: a box that would be strapped to a pallet and then shrink wrapped. All new to me. I tracked down a used pallet locally, purchased straps and shrink wrap and assembled the package. I dropped the pallet off at the designated location and it was delivered to Seattle on time as promised. Happily, nothing was broken. Chris was knowledgeable, helpful and patient. I also thought I was charged a fair price to deliver 65 pounds of dishes cross-country. I would recommend Freight Center and Chris to anyone with delivery needs.

Shipment was nicely booked by Jen, when the weight was off from what I estimated the weight to be, a reweigh was done, and I was charged there new amount. I was quoted 54 cents a pound additional weight and $35.00 re-weight fee at the time of placing the LTL order. Instead I got billed for .99 cents a pound additional weight fee, $35.00 dollar processing fee and another $88.33 fee. Could not get a hold of Jen since I placed the order. Once they have your credit card number they will bill you for whatever once the freight is picked up without notifying you except an email after the billing has been done.

I ordered a piece and then I was referred to freightcenter inc by the seller. I paid for the shipping, got a call saying it would be more when the fiest driver refused to pick up my item. Paid more for the shipping, was told my piece was picked up and provided a tracking number and there have not been any updates it almost a week. I was told it maybe be her Monday (yesterday) but for sure it'd be her by Tuesday. Can I atleast know if they guy has a piggy back so I can stop leaving my tractor at the road? I'd also like to know where it is.
