Be careful here, they wont tell you they charged you for a $250 cleaning fee and they don’t show it on your web recipe either it is hidden please watch your wallets people. I guess that coverage was for nothing.

We had the pleasure of renting a car from Avis for a business-related road trip across Florida. Right from the onset, we were greeted with professionalism and a friendly demeanor by Thomas, who was managing the front desk. His knowledge of the fleet and understanding of our needs made the selection process a breeze. He suggested a comfortable and fuel-efficient sedan that perfectly suited our requirements.The paperwork was straightforward, and Thomas ensured we understood all the terms and conditions before handing over the keys. He also took the time to explain the features of the car, which was a nice touch. His thoroughness not only displayed exceptional customer service but also showcased the high standards that Avis upholds.During the rental period, we had a minor issue with the tire pressure. We called the office, and Thomas was quick to guide us to the nearest service station to have it checked out. Amazing customer service from the manager, Omar. He was thoughtful, calling earlier in the day to verify expectations. He listened to issues I had and made me feel like a customer who matters.My car was clean and was ready on time.

So unprofessional. Rented a car and called them directly to modify. The derelict who I spoke to assured me they would have my rental ready on Friday at 530. Went to pick it up and he said…Oh I thought you meant tomorrow. They aren’t even open on Saturday until 530. They close at 1. I left work early so I could get there on time and I incurred costs due to setting appointments at my destination with the rented car. A complete lie on his part.

Very disappointed in Avis, reserved a large SUV a couple weeks ago and received a voicemail one day before I was to pick up the vehicle that it was urgent to call during business hours. Mind you this voicemail was left for me after the location Palm Harbor closed. I called 1st thing to have the Palm Harbor location State that they didn’t have this vehicle in stock so I asked for them to check other locations and was advised to call customer care which was a HORRIBLE customer service call. I spoke to someone that could not understand the difference between Miami and Tampa and told me a Avis “loyal business member “ that they couldn’t find any large SUVs in FLORIDA, and gave me the option of putting me in a compact SUV for double the price. I’ve been a loyal Avis member for years and after this I’m done. I called Enterprise down the street and got into the SUV I needed for my family in 30 minutes and on a Saturday! Horrible customer care from AVIS. I’m going to sign up for Enterprise emerald business in kick AvIs to the curb. Their best option was to call Budget or someone else!!! Bye Avis and the Palm harbor location. Very disappointed

Considering daily prices they are charging there is no excuse why they rent out old , worn out , dirty fleet!!!!They should buy new cars , keep them until 20K miles and than sell them .

Usually a great place to get a rental car. When I returned my car a day early, they removed my weekly "discount," which resulted in a higher cost than if I kept it another day. They also said the tank was not full because the last LED was not lit. I took the car to the gas station and forced one gallon into tank, clicking the auto shut off 4 times. They were going to charge me 27 dollars for that gallon because I did not force fill it before returning. The car was great but apparently I had the same person as the last reviewer when I returned the car. I travel extensively for the last 35 years and never had this happen before.

We went to the AVIS rental online and selected our rental from the Palm Harbor location and even prepaid for our rental online. Come to find out, the vehicle we reserved at their location was not there and there would not comp an different vehicle without paying the difference. The girl that worked there said they have nothing to do with their website and no control as to what they say is available at her location. I called customer service and could barely understand the person from their call center. They said what we needed was available at a certain location and they could modify our rental there. We'll I called that location and they said they don't have it and will not have it at the time we needed it and told us customer service lied. We cancelled our rental and I will never ever rent from them again!! Will never rent from any AVIS.

They were not up front and honest about certain information during pick up of vehicle, and they said they had no vehicles to rent even though online they showed vehicles available at that location. Needless to say, they wouldn't allow a walk in rental without going online and reserving it with a credit card. I had to jump through hoops in their office to reserve a vehicle they had in their parking lot available for rent before they would allow me to rent it.

Worst customer service experience l have ever experienced. Extremely unprofessional! I have been renting vehicles here for last two month and the Manager Omar is always very nice and helpful. Unfortunately he was not there today when l returned rental vehicle it was an African American woman who refused to give her name. After inspecting vehicle she came in and told me l had a dog in the vehicle which l informed her was completely untrue. Apparently she does not like to be disagreed with and her demener and attitude completely changed and began being completely unprofessional and rude. I used vehicle to get back and forth to work and never had any animal in their vehicle ever.l She then told me that the floor was dirty and l was going to be charged for cleaning. I told her that it wasnt very dirty and was my understanding that they vacuum vehicle before re renting and she said they did but they did not "detail". I then asked for keys back to go vacuum so l wouldn't be charged since still had 3 hours on rental agreement which l had paid for. She told me to get out of office immediately or she was calling police, which l asked her to go ahead and do since l had done nothing wrong. I then asked for her name and she told me her name was "your name" and wasn't giving it to me. She then claimed that l was refusing to clean vehicle and would be charged in which l rrpled again to return key so l could vacuum . She again refused and told me to get the fxxk out of the office. Have videos of entire incident and her complete unprofessional behavior. Filed complaint with corporate which l will continue to do every week until resolved so no one else has to be treated this way. Will also review weekly until matter is taken care of. I will also post everywhere possible. Stay clear of Palm Harbor Budget/Avis office.
