closet designed incorrectly. company suggested unworkable fix. Customer service is a joke. improper design. inferior materials. messed up my closet walls. nothing good to say.

From our first encounter with Closets by Design, we knew we were making the right decision. Veronika came to our home and designed a very functional closet which was installed beautifully, on time and with complete professionalism.Five star recommendation to anyone looking for a quality closet at a reasonable price.

During the sale and design process we had to sign paperwork 4 different times due to errors made by the sales person/designer. The final adjustment made she said was required to reduce the height of a section and had to happen. I have no idea why. Post install there is more than a foot of extra height between the top of the closet and the ceiling and this makes the hanging sections short where everything drags the shelf below or the ground. It does not feel custom or semi custom. Also we paid an up charge for matte black hardware and received chrome for our valet rod and belt rack. I’ve requested this be fixed more than 6 times since install. I got one response that the chrome was an error but apparently since this order is paid in full there is no plan to fix it and I am being ignored. I will never recommend this company or use it again. I’ve had closets done in the past with California Closets and even Home Depot custom services and both provided better measurement, better design and better customer service. The quality of these closets is laminated particle board. Eventually I will end up replacing them but they were so expensive for what we got it will be awhile. Despite the design flaws and quality flaws If they had just been responsive to correcting their mistake on the hardware that I paid extra for I would not be leaving this bad review. Companies should know better then to ignore their customer for over a month when they have taken $ and not delivered what was paid for.

I ordered cabinets for my garage and the results were fantastic. I also appreciate that the cabinets were delivered on time. The installer was well trained and skilled and provided a very satisfactory result. I have no hesitations to highly recommend Closets by Design!

Technicians were professional and workmanship was great. Love our new closet and being able to have all our clothing in one place. Our designer was extremely knowledgeable and helped us create the perfect closet. She even followed up the next day after install to see if we liked it.
