VSH took an incredible care of our beloved kitty. Dr. RT is very knowledgeable, honest and caring. We an appreciated her guidance when we couldn’t find any answers. Everyone was very helpful. We recommend VSH 100%, especially in difficult cases that require a specialist’s opinion.

Probably the best Vet ER I have been to. I live in Baton Rouge and have been to several ERs.. Efficient, knowledgeable and nice come to mine. Ilene, Bonnie and Dr Pierce are the 3 that I remember most. All are good!

I brought my diabetic cat in because he was not looking good or eating, in addition he threw up. The took some blood work and examined him. He was given subcutaneous fluid for dehydration. I was told that if I needed to come in the next day that there would be no charge. I was also told that my current vet was not a specialist in diabetes and I should bring them back to see their internal medicine Dr. He was still no good so I brought him in the next day. We waited a very long time, one person came in and said, you brought him in to be hospitalized. I did not request hospitalization but they highly suggested it. Then the money person came in with a quote for 4700.00. I told her that could not afford that, she came back after about 15 minutes and asked me what they can do with the bill, why did not they give me the best rate at first? I told them to please bring him out to me. She then told me that they will not charge me for another subcutaneous fluid if I would make an appointment with the internist. I made the appointment and then was billed for the free visit and the fluid, they removed the charge for the free visit but not the treatment as promised. When they brought my cat out to me and almost threw him at me, he was shivering, scared and just not happy. He has never reacted this way when we take him to the vet. God knows what they did to him in the back. I cancelled my appointment and will never bring him back here. I felt like I was buying a car or worse. I do not recommend bringing your pet here

My dog was vomiting and had dark stool. I wanted to get him checked for toxins and intestinal blockage. Staff was friendly and performed said procedures without major issue, but I was there for 3 hours just for some bloodwork and abdominal x-rays. There were multiple attempts to upsell unnecessary services and products. Some of the prices were ridiculously high. They charged me $353.90 for 20 375mg Clavamox chewable tablets. I could get more than 20 tablets for less than $100 at multiple stores online. They didn't even confirm with me if I wanted some of the supplements/medication, they just brought it in a bag. Trust is a big part of health care and I did not feel like I could trust them to NOT try and take advantage of the situation.
Final price was $250 over the higher estimate they provided me with--despite me declining multiple things. I ended up paying almost $2,000. Will not be returning here.

From the first visit with Dr. Cameron, I felt my cat was getting the best care. Our appointments were followed up by an email detailing the visit and what to do after. After our follow up visit it was learned that our cat had cancer- large cell lymphoma for which the prognosis is not good. Dr. Cameron provided options and information, but, above all, was very caring and compassionate. Competence and compassion are a rare combination but Dr. Cameron has both. I am thankful that we had her as our veterinary internist.

My cat was very sick. I was given a list of 5 animal hospitals I could take my cat to in order to see an internal medicine specialist. Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Palm Beach Gardens had the worst feedback of the 5 animal hospitals and was the only one that had an appointment available right away. I remember feeling like that was potentially a red flag.
I don't usually leave feedback but I hope this one can be a warning to others. My cat ended up being diagnosed with FIP but it took 45 days for the diagnosis. I started treatment on day 46 and my cat died on day 51.
If my cat would have been diagnosed 1-2 weeks earlier there would be a significant chance the treatment could have worked.
FIP is a difficult diagnosis but that's what internal medicine Vets specialize in . I feel like my cat's fate was sealed once I picked Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Palm Beach Gardens.

All I can say is they are in it for the money not for the dogs!!! $5,100.00 dollars for a day and a half and my dog died in the middle of the night all alone they did not bother to call me to say Heah maybe you should come in he is not doing well. Instead I got the call um hi your dog died. I never received his records of what they did to him while he was in their care they where not able to give me a direct answer of what he died from. The Internal Dr. never showed up to evaluate him so he died while waiting for him . Vets have become just like human Dr.s your just another number they don't give a shit even though they seem to care when you walk through those doors. My Fault I should have never left him there alone!!! Lesson Learned!!

I took my dog over after he had a seizure. He was treated quickly and well. They ran bloodwork and a chest xray and explained every possible diagnosys thoroughly. We had our own private room for the duration and it was clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. All this was during hurricane Milton!! Thank you VSH. Harry and Cami

I brought my cat, Minnie, here after I noticed she was limping. The intake, exam & checkout process was above my expectations. The staff and doctor communicated everything clearly & the entire process was smooth. Everyone was super friendly, I really appreciated that. It’s only been two days but Minnie is doing so much better! Thank you!!

We were given a very tough dx of diabetes in our dog. It was suggested by our regular vet that the dog be put down. We went to VSH for the difficult task. Long story short, Dr Josh Harrell talked my daughter out of euthanasia. He left the room to give us time to make the difficult decision. The Dr never returned to the room to check on us, ask if we had further questions, etc. Although the hospital was closing at 8, the assistant came in about 7:15 to announce the Dr would be leaving in 5 minutes so we needed to make a decision. With that time frame and attitude, we left with insulin. Again, Dr never came in. All handled by assistants. I'm not saying the Dr's medical advise was right or wrong but the lack of compassion was unbelievable. The more people I have discussed
this with, the more negative stories about your hospital has been shared.
I would not allow any animal of mine near that Dr.
I would like to give credit to the support staff. They were all very kind, supportive and knowledgeable.
UPDATE: My daughter received a sympathy card from the clinic....don't they realize they never euthanized the dog!??

Dr. Feldman, Maddie, Eileen and the rest of the staff, spoiled our very sick kitten Sheldon while they were helping figuring out a diagnosis and treatment. They treated him as their own pet, with so much love and tenderness. Thank you. ? Highly recommended for those super scary pet situations. Don’t hesitate to go there if you’re unsure.
