These guys are amazing!! I came in to buy a new alternator but they tested my old one first. Came back just fine. They could have easily have sold me a new one but they were honest and kept me from having to buy something I don’t need. I will definitely recommend them to others in the future.

Didn’t have any work done but walked in for a simple question about a battery fuse issue and the guy was very helpful with testing the starter no problem. Thanks

Brian, Joe and all the guys and gal there rock! Honest about repairs and billing. They actually tell what you need and don't beat around the bush. Just simple hard working folks. We can recommend them, but they are busy, so get your vehicle in soon. Brian is also very involved in the community and truly cares for everyone he or his business is involved with. Thanks Brian and Daryl for getting our old police car back on the road.

Ken is the most helpful and honest people in the automotive industry. I’d recommend this place to everyone. Has fixed multiple starters and alternators for me. Certainly a dying trade. Reman starter was 200$. Ken got me out the door for 50$ in less than an hour.

He rebuilt my alternator on the spot like a true master. I am very lucky that where I broke down on I-95 was not too far from his shop. Thanks a lot!

I’ve been coming to malabar electric for over 15 years and he’s always fixed everything while I wait and has me out the door in less than 15 minutes. Never had a problem with anything he’s fixed . His loyalty is 2nd to none. Why go anywhere else.

Sorry in advance for the long message, but I felt it was necessary to tell my story of 2 identical businesses, with 2 VASTLY different owners and outlook on what a Customer is. I recently purchased a show vehicle, (built w/ new everything & 51 miles on it). But, after sitting In a warehouse for 10+ years it was having a number of electrical issues beyond needing new batteries. After some testing and research, I found that 14 of the 15 problems I was having traced back to a bad voltage regulator ($5.00 part) in the unused alternator. I took it apart to clean the contacts and look for any other issues. I called Malabar Auto Electric looking for this part, when Ken the Owner answered. He was friendly, helpful, and informative, plus he went out of his way to offer help to not only ensure my problem was this part, but also ensure no other looming issues. And yes, he knew right away he knew the part. MalabarAE is a 25-30 drive from where I live in Viera, so on my way down I figured I would call Ace Auto Electric which is much closer to home. THERE, I was greeted by a harshly spoken & abrasive woman who identified herself as the Owners wife. Immediately I could tell this was going to be quite a different experience. I asked nicely if she had the part for this alternator and with an abrasive attitude, she asked me to call back later. I explained that I'm on the highway and will be well past that exit in another 20 minutes from now, so I asked nicely if she could look it up by the part number. It was clear she had no clue which alternator or part I was asking about although it's probably the single most common GM Delco alternator. She made it clear she was annoyed with helping me and told me, "my husband's outside and the phones are ringing off the hook, and I don't have time to deal with this. Plus, I have no idea what alternator or part your referring to. Im thinking what "deal with this" means. You mean you don't have time to deal with a customer. My immediate thoughts were, "who talks to a customer that way"? But, rather than respond back to her with the same negativity, I asked her nicely if giving her the part number would help. She replied yes, and I gave her the numbers. She advised after a very SHORT pause, "we don't have that part or alternator. The (GM Delco 12si) one of the most common alternators made, since it was used on nearly all GMs since the classic years. It was clearly obvious she just didn't care and did nothing to look or ask someone. At this point I thanked her, and gladly continued my journey to MalabarAE. I refuse to spend a penny with someone that ignorant toward myself or any customer. As I drove south on 95, I reflected on these calls in disbelief of the stark difference in the way these 2 owners handled my call. On one hand I got a VERY unhelpful, abrasive, and annoyed owner (From Ace AE), who has no knowledge of they're industry, or desire to assist a customer. On the other hand, the owner from MalabarAE knew immediately he had the part, but still went out of his way to help me, educate me, even though...... I'm a $5 bill at best for him. After testing my alternator, he advised that the it's all A1, and needs nothing. Apparently after I disassembled it the night before and cleaned all the contacts, this solves the issue. So at this point, he has 10-15 min invested in the call & testing, but will earn nothing as the problem was resolved. Since he went out of his way to help me, was honest about the status of the unit, I asked him to disassemble it again and replace the part anyway to ensure my work was done as recommended, and replace the regulator anyways. I wanted to support a local business and Owner who was genuinely concerned about helping his customers rather than how much money is the customer worth to me. He could have lied to me about the regulator, and with his knowledge could probably have talked me into a new alternator. Kens genuine concern for "customers/people/neighbors" will keep Ace
