This store needs HELP
As someone who's worked in customer service for 10+ years this store is now terrible... nothing is ever in stock, u boasts are cluttering the aisles. There's nobody to ask for help if it's needed.
That's fine, it's annoying, but it happens.
Today, after work around 5:30/6pm I get to the store to buy one side for dinner tonight, instant potatoes is all I wanted. ONE pack in stock. I make my way to the registers and the LINE IS ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE STORE.
I waited in said line for 5 minutes with no movement.
I'm not one to complain... especially because I know how bad customer service workers are treated but this was terrible and something needs to be done.
The employees have no sense of urgency, and you closed self check out to slow the processes. You either need to HIRE THE HELP (I've applied multiple times for part time help) or train your staff on sense of urgency to get the customers in and out. Most of this is not a store issue, it's a STAFF AND MANAGEMENT/CORPORATE issue. Everyone knows rushes in these type stores are around the RUSH hours of people stopping in to get last minute things they get home for the night. Your stores be staffed to handle it.

Garbage store, their turnover is so insane you'd be surprised to see a person there for more than two weeks. Also their fridges are not up to temp so good luck with the lawsuits.

Dollar General has its origin in Scottsville, Kentucky, with James Luther "J.L." Turner and his son Cal Turner. James Turner's father died in an accident in 1902 when James was only 11. James quit school to work on the family farm, helping to provide for his mother and siblings, and subsequently never completed his education. After two unsuccessful attempts at retailing, James became a traveling dry goods salesman for a Nashville wholesale grocer. James left the sales job after 10 years and settled his family in Scottsville, Kentucky. During the Great Depression, he began buying and liquidating bankrupt general stores. Cal accompanied his father to these closeouts at a young age, gaining valuable business knowledge and skills.[14]
In October 1939, James and Cal opened J.L. Turner and Son with an initial investment of $5,000 each. The switch to retailing resulted in annual sales above $2 million by the early 1950s. By the mid-1950s Turner had 35 department stores in Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1955, Cal Turner developed his idea of a retail store selling goods for a dollar, based on the Dollar Days promotions held at other department stores, by converting Turner's Department Store in Springfield, Kentucky, into the first Dollar General Store.[15] In 1964 J.L. Turner died leaving his son Cal Turner to succeed him.

The store in unwelcoming no room to walk around to get the things you not handicap friendly by any means. You shouldn’t flood your store with stocking carts. Wanted to buy a few more things than I did but couldn’t it was obstacles after obstacles. Think of those who need assistance your selfish people

Just left there. I wanted to use a coupon but had to meet some requirements first. The cashier was very sweet and assisted me with getting those requirements met so that the coupon would be honored!

Brenda is a horrible manager. Sloppy store. Its always full of rolltainers and boxes and crates. I mean...8 crates in front of a register for a store with long lines isnt too smart. She doesnt know how to run a store. She runs good workers out because of her bad attitude amd if youre a good strong worker she will run you into the ground. Its been a month and they still havent stocked the juice aisle. Keeping older stuff in the back when it should have been out on the shelves. If you cant keep up with the store stop ordering 3k trucks and hire better workers with better attitudes. Cheryl is rude. Worst cashier. Here we are in 2023 and they still can't get it right. The girl with the pixie cut and pink hair throws a chair at a coworker and still has her job yet bill can't hire a decent manager to hire decent workers to get this store in shape. It's worse than ever. A third shift stock person is highly needed. Nothing is ever on the shelves. It's been bare for days. The workers still only use one register. The older lady is lovely and friendly. The new girl always says god bless. Just...no. this is the worse store on the region

WHY go here--- when there is a newer cleaner and well stocked DG right up across Minton on Emerson??!!! Whoever is the Big, unseen manager of this place needs to be fired! There is always clutter in the aisles, the shelves are always empty & the 1 person there working is ALWAYS doing it alone. HIRE a staff, clean up & stock the place right & you might get more $$$ with more customers!!!!

As many times as I have been in the Dollar General store on Jupiter Blvd in Palm Bay Florida, they never ring up the advertised price. I find this every time I see beer on sale. Then when I address this to the cashier they say we can't change it. Seriously! They should have the prices correct in the register to begin with! I have decided to shop at the Dollar General store on Malabar Road, Palm Bay, Florida from now on. I have never had a problem at the one on Malabar Road!

Good store but the aisles are always blocked with carts full of stuff and no one putting it out on the shelf it's nobody's fault except for the company too cheap to hire more than one Employee
