“They have a wide variety of goods. A frozen section, a refrigerated area and of course canned and dried goods. They have party stuff and housewares too.
They also have over the counter medicines.
It is amazing all that Dollar General carries!”
“I love this store , it’s the customer service for me . Lamar the cashier is the best . He was able to assist within the self check out and the cashier line at the same time by himself very impressive. Lamar has a positive attitude all smiles and up beat energy. I gave this store a negative review when it first opened and I’ve since deleted that review based on Lamars customer service. Thanks for hiring such an awesome individual.”
“Although I don't understand how dollar general ended up on a residential street in Palm bay, I stopped there today to make an exchange for my daughter. The cashier, Wil, was great: pleasant, knowledge and just really nice. The store is new therefore neat, clean, and full of stuff. But how many dollar generals does Palm Bay need?Update. 1/22. Apparently palm Bay needs lots of dollar generals. There seems to be one every five miles now. Today the shelves were somewhat bare. The cashier was very nice. Somehow DG gets good employees.”
“I would like to give a shout out to one of the Dollar General staff, who goes by the name Sky. He was kind, courteous and super helpful. He even went out of his way to help us get an online coupon to help us save a little bit of money. The reason I'm giving a 4 start review is because the other Dollar General staff was nasty when I returned the bathroom key.”
“Dollar general is my latest jam! Love this place. They have great items for great prices plus their app makes it super easy to stay up to date on deals and redeem coupons. I've never been great with coupons but the DG app makes it so freakin easy, u can't forget. Love it”
“Manager Gil at Babcock and Waco dollar general is absolutely amazing. Our husky got out and made his way all the way down to this man’s store. He took him in fed him , gave him water and kept him safe until I was able to get to him to pick him up. Thank you so much for being so kind Gil you truly are amazing!!!”
“Dollar General is a good place to go if you don't want to go if you don't feel like going into a large grocery store to pick up basic supplies. They offer low prices too. My only complaint is that it only keeps a limited amount of the flavor Gatorade Zero I drink, while other flavors are in abundance. If you see that a particular flavor is constantly out or only a few on the shelf, you would think they would place a larger order to meet customers needs.”
“DG is a convenient stop for household goods. Workers are friendly, but very over-worked. Most times there is only one employee to cashier, stock, clean and organize shelves.”
“Dollar Tree has everything you need for your kitchen or to furnish your motorhome and a wide selection of frozen and non-perishable foods and drinks, at VERY inexpensive prices! :)”
“Still my favorite Dollar store for shopping basic needs. Most of the time, a good selection for housewares, paper products, baking & cooking staples, toiletries. Friendly & helpful employees. Thank you, Dollar Tree.”

255 Malabar Rd, Palm Bay“It was very clean and when someone walked through the door without a mask the cashier asked him if he needed a mask because that's what we do here he said oh yeah! Forgot sorry and put it on before he was all the way through the door. Really appreciate any business on board and in step with the rest of us!”
“It's done one of y'all shopping carts. Y'all need to come over here and pick this thing up from my house. I'm about a block away from you. 1900 Gloria Circle NE.”
“Dollar General has its origin in Scottsville, Kentucky, with James Luther "J.L." Turner and his son Cal Turner. James Turner's father died in an accident in 1902 when James was only 11. James quit school to work on the family farm, helping to provide for his mother and siblings, and subsequently never completed his education. After two unsuccessful attempts at retailing, James became a traveling dry goods salesman for a Nashville wholesale grocer. James left the sales job after 10 years and settled his family in Scottsville, Kentucky. During the Great Depression, he began buying and liquidating bankrupt general stores. Cal accompanied his father to these closeouts at a young age, gaining valuable business knowledge and skills.[14]
In October 1939, James and Cal opened J.L. Turner and Son with an initial investment of $5,000 each. The switch to retailing resulted in annual sales above $2 million by the early 1950s. By the mid-1950s Turner had 35 department stores in Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1955, Cal Turner developed his idea of a retail store selling goods for a dollar, based on the Dollar Days promotions held at other department stores, by converting Turner's Department Store in Springfield, Kentucky, into the first Dollar General Store.[15] In 1964 J.L. Turner died leaving his son Cal Turner to succeed him.”
“Plenty of bargains, whatever Ollie's doesn't have, come here. There's several products sold here t1hat you can't find at other stores. My only complaint is that I wish there was a better selection of bath/shower goods; while there is plenty of soap and body wash, I could not find any shampoo in the store.”
“They are a closeout store so their product selection is always changing. That being said, they always have a great selection, fantastic low prices and a friendly staff.”
