The strawberries themselves are incredible but the inability to keep people updated on their hours is what drops their rating. Plus, for those of us who choose not to have Facebook accounts don't have the easiest of access to looking at their posts. It's a shame really.

Drove 2 hours to get here because their Facebook page says open dec-April. It’s feb 11th on a Saturday at 12 (says they open at 10). No signs, no workers, no hours posted. Super disappointed

No one around when we arrived on a Sat morning and no signage with hours posted despite google showing the place was open. Luckily there was another great farm nearby to pick up organic strawberries.

Family owned local.Seems to be overpriced by snowbirds if you aren't there before opening.Very hit or miss with the size and quality of the strawberries.

I truly love Pappy's and i love that it's closer than Southern Hill. But this new season has been rough. We went back for the first time since Ian after seeing they would be open at 10 on a Thursday. When we arrived at 10:02, it was to see that the parking lot was full with people already leaving with berries. There were rows and rows of no berries ready and we left with about 5. I definitely understand that things won't be perfect but the communication is what needs to be better. It's just not the same.

Nice experience, a lot of strawberries but not so cheap. Definitely is good for try but I paid around $24 for a small amount of strawberries and a strawberry jam.

Unfortunately the patch was damaged by the hurricanes and is closed for this season. The operator was very apologetic. Plan on going back next season.

Large fields, great ease of access. Decent price. We need more pick your own farms.

Doesn't take long to pick enough berries for jam making. Pies or shortcake! Attendants are helpful and give you cardboard tray for picking that you can keep.NOTE: call b4 you go to make sure open. Google their site and it said was open . Drove there and was closed

It’s great to bring a friend or your kids out here. Very friendly environment, plenty of strawberries and produce. Follow their FB for business hour because they don’t open from 10am to 10pm as Google Maps suggested.

Pappys Patch was awesome! We were so lucky, as we got here a little earlier than the scheduled open time because we wanted to make sure we had a spot in line. We spent maybe 30 mins out in the field strawberry picking, and were able to decently fill up our box which we happily shared with family. Despite the field being so large, there was rumor of the berries running out really quickly, so I would recommend getting there a little early to secure a spot. Also a perfect place for a date, or just to bring the kids for a fun weekend outdoors!

Sweetest strawberries I've ever had! We had so much fun picking the perfect strawberries to take home. We were so proud of ourselves when they were not only gorgeous but super delicious! Definitely a perfect girls day or family activity! I will be going back for more!

The experience was good, the strawberries tasty, and my toddlers enjoyed it…. but the lady at the counter didn’t even say hello or smile and people came late and she was nasty to them and being grouchy instead of being apologetic and kind. After witnessing her dismissive attitude I’d much rather give my money to the U-Pic in Mt Dora as they were amazing!

Fun, COVID-safe activity. Berries taste great and are priced well. Their hours change and are posted on their Facebook page
