I have a very specific gym routine and it’s hard to stay consistent when the machines are constantly broken and the facility refuses to fix them. They would rather leaves signs on the machine “apologizing” for them not working, Over 5 machines have been broken for THREE (3) months!!!!!!!! They say they will fix it asap but this is a lie. They will never fix them.I talked to the front desk to put in a complaint and it fell on deaf ears. Don’t come here if you actually want to work out because they don’t fix broken machines. You’re paying for nothing.

What a great place to exercise! Clean Clean Clean!Summary: Ive experienced spa memberships with various levels of quality. From luxury spas in Atlanta (somewhat comparable to RDV) to Golds Gym. I enjoy taking my time to use the equipment, relax in the sauna, maybe swim a few laps and finish in a clean and well kept locker room. This is so worth the money!Equipment: A great variety and amount to not have to wait for a machinesClasses: Instructors are energetic and positive! Yayy!Locker Rooms: Lots of roomy and clean lockers, doors for personal showers, sauna is ready and hot. Clean space for sure!Hours of Operation: The hours may be challenging for some peoples schedules but I wanted to move my workout from 8pm to 8am. So it works for me.Price: I opted for max membership. I like that I can go to ANY YMCA. $55

I live going here my only complaint is the equipment is old and worn and not oiled up. So it makes movements much harder. Things break I get ot but it's continuous and some machines are so worn you ca t read the knobs to select weights. They cleaning staff is amazing although she. She's not there they have empty sanitation stations and you're walking around trying to find one The weekend hours is ridiculously stupid for the working world. Closing early and opening late The summer classes for kids needs to be redone to have them enter at back door and stop running and tripping the paying guests. This is a non stop issue where mom is gabbing away and thinks it's cute for her kid to run and cut people off.

I would like to "Thank It" Thursday to the Y! I signed up a few weeks ago and I am absolutely adoring and appreciating their group exercise classes! They have so many different ones to choose from such as strength training, pilates, yoga, to even barre which Im very excited to try next, amongst many more. I recently did the bike cycling class and my immediate expectations weren't high since I just assumed their couldn't be much to it. However, the instructor Sharon was so motivating and incorporated the resistance bar which was a game changer and really helped get a real work out in. I can't say enough about the Yoga and Pilates instructors too - always a beautiful zen like feeling you get here on top of your workout. The classes are at different times of the day too so there's a lot of flexibility and extremely accommodating if you might get there a few minutes late. It's easy to reserve your class on the app and you can easily delete your booking beforehand if something comes up. All the instructors bring their own unique style and you can see which ones are going to teach what in case you may have a preference. Very importantly, the bathrooms, showers, and steam room are always in tip top shape. The Y here makes me look forward to my wellness routine and truly gives me the best bang for my buck, that's sincerely priceless.

They have a new pricing structure with a range suitable for anyone. The staff are very friend and the facility is very clean.

Summer camp staff are immature, the camp itself is unstructured, and the kids spend a lot of time being yelled at. They're yelled at a lot by Megan to hurry when changing after getting out of the pool and to be quiet during all the various free time and quiet time activities that they have. Most of the camp counselors seem to have no idea how to handle children. Bella at the front in the mornings has a fake nice attitude, talks down to parents, and is oblivious to everything that she doesn't know, which is a lot.

I absolutely love most of the staff. They are such good people. My biggest complaint is the size of the weight room. It is very hard to fit close to 50 or 60 people at its busiest in that small of an area. There should also be more SM or squat racks, and the decline bench should be switched with another incline or flat bench press. Overall, it's a pretty good starter gym if you are young or if you're an older person. It's certainly not as intimidating as the Crunch or other gyms I've been to.

I love the YMCA for my family! I love that the max membership provides so much opportunity for my hubby and 7 children to diversify our lifestyle. We frequent the Oviedo, J Douglas, Winter Park, and now Avalon YMCA for sports and aquatics. Been so helpful with so many rainy days this year...we just pack the family up in the van and go for it. Thank you CFL YMCA!

The Oviedo Ymca is one of the best facilities in Central Florida. They care about our children’s well being and make sure every moment is fun and exciting. The people at the front will always greet with a smile on their face even early in the morning. 100% recommend.

Hours are terrible. We started going to the Oviedo Y in 2004 and it took out its basketball court, pool table and ping pong table and cut its hours. I used to go on weekends after my kids soccer and baseball games but can no longer get there in time. Even if I can go before 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday, the pool is closed. I go to planet Fitness now. Once all my kids turn 13 we're all going to Planet Fitness and cancellng the Oviedo Y.

The front desk staff are great and the place is always clean. My one star is is directly towards the swim classes. We started over a year ago with group lessons. There are a lot of kids to 1 teacher, and a lot of kids that require more attention, so one child will only get a few mins of actual swim instruction. After a few months, and talking to the Swim coordinator we switched to semi-private lessons, where the 30mins were split with a friend. The swim coordinator left, and a new one came on, and there seemed to be a lot of confusion and change in instructors. We continued on. A lot of lessons were canceled and rescheduled due to lightning in the area - if the sun is out but there is lightning somewhere around they must cancel lessons, because their pump is outside or something. During the next round of semi-private lessons, the next swim coordinator left, we had new instructors and again seemed like no one knew what was going on. No one could tell us who to reach out to with questions. The ymca back in the day used to give out monthly sheets telling us where the students were at - apparently they don't do that anymore - or you just don't get that benefit with semi-private lessons. Finally found out there was a new swim director in charge. Told her my concerns, she said she would come and watch the kids next lesson and provide feedback. Saw her but she never came over or said a word. Our semi-private lessons have come to an end and we have decided not to continue on here. I am not sure where my kids are at, but they can not swim unassisted after a year plus of lessons. No one even talked to us about if we wanted to continue on or anything. I would not recommend the swim lessons.

I have very mixed feelings towards this gym. Staff is kind, and the facilities are very clean and modern. However, the hours and the membership are kind of ridiculous. Open til 7pm on Fridays, 3pm on Saturdays, and 2pm on Sundays... that seems insane. I get off of work at 5pm on Friday. After going home, grabbing gym clothes, and driving to the Y I have less than an hour to workout. If they extended their hours on Friday to a later time it would really change my perspective on this gym. Also, you have to pay extra to use the pool? I have a fit & active membership so I'm paying $28 a month, and for some reason that only gets me the basic plan, which does not include pool access. At the Y I was at previously, there were no membership tiers, you paid for one membership & got access to everything. Also, a towel service would be nice.

We’ve been members at this Y for years. Generally it’s a fantastic faculty with good equipment and a friendly staff. My main complaint is that, during the pandemic, they drastically cut back on childcare hours, especially on the weekends. Currently there’s no availability for Sundays and only a few hours on Saturday. As a parent with a busy work week, I try to workout as much as possible on Sundays. To combat this we’ve been driving to Dr. Phillips, which is almost one hour each way. I just wish the childcare hours were the same 7 days/week.
