I asked for a portable charge the lady did not give me. A portable charger I should checked before I left and i didn’t so now if I loose power I want have a charger for my phone smh

They do NOT stand by their products! On July 31st my husband bought the Brand Name: "Ace", Disk Padlock 3.25" (picture attached). We reset the combination number and put it on our storage unit by the Ormond Ace North Hardware store. On August the 7th we were not able to get the padlock to open after multiple attempts. We called the Ace Hardware store and explained the problem with the lock and we could not get into our storage unit. The manager stated, he had 4 and didn't have any problems with them. Unable to get the lock to open we called a locksmith out on August 8th. The locksmith said he has had to cut off "tons" of them. It cost us $189 dollars to have the lock cut off. I absolutely cannot recommend this Ace Hardware store, nor will we ever spend one penny there again on your poor products!

Came in to rent a vacuum to clean one of my rental properties. I was immediately asked by the abrasive woman at the register “if I live in the area? if I have a valid drivers license? and a credit card that matches the address on my drivers license” I told her “yes, but I don’t plan to use that method of payment” the only physical card I had with me and the card I planned to pay with was the card for my business which doesn’t match my drivers license address. I didn’t have my personal “physical” debit card with me and I was told I couldn’t pay with that card either using Apple Pay because they had to have a physical card matching your home address (even though they offer Apple Pay and you have to pay up front) I asked if I could pay with cash instead, and the answer was no. So Even though they have a credit card number to place on hold…it doesn’t matter.. it has to match your drivers license exactly and you have to live in the area. Thank goodness I live near my rental property lol. That wasn’t an issue for me but I could see how it could be an issue for some property owners. Total cluster.
Long story short, if you plan to rent a vacuum at this ace hardware you can only pay with a physical credit card in your name matching your address. No other method of payment is accepted. The reason given was that I could have gotten away with a $600 vacuum. ???. If they want to report it stolen, they have my driver’s license. Why does it matter how I pay for it as long as I return it? Not good business practice for any customers who own a Business and want to pay with a business credit card or any customer who would rather pay in cash and not the card placed on hold.
And yes there is a rude woman at the front.

What an awesome experience shopping here. The two young men helping us were so knowledgeable and polite. The cashier was friendly as well. I love this store!

The associate that helped me find everything for my projects was amazing. I found everything that i needed. When checking out, this is where things go bad. The lady at the register is rude and loud and makes comments about the customers. She talks loud for everyone to hear her. I would rather my business to stay my business! I usually have a spectacular experience.
