I board my African gray bird here whenever we go away. They also trim her wings and claws. Great prices on food and toys too!

Came in to buy crickets and on a whim asked about if they had tarantulas for sale, I was directed to a small wall with some of the most dismal tarantula enclosures I've ever seen. I know large pet store chains are typically atrocious, but this is a small mom and pop type store. There were most Ts with zero hides, an Avicularia Avicularia with NOTHING to climb on. Old molts in the enclosures in the water dishes. I had to buy my crickets and gtfo before cussing the staff out. Seriously if anyone working there reads this for the love of God get on arachnoboards and do some research on the animals you keep and maybe have a little respect for the creatures. They deserve far better!

I am so happy that we have a local pet store - they have daily specials and every time I have visited it has been a pleasure. I am planning on going this evening with my son to stock his aquarium! :)

About 3 years ago I went in with a very sick tokay. I didn't know what I was doing and caught one (do not do this). Fortunately the store owner saw her and immediately told me what to do. 3 years later I have a super happy and sweet tokay. Thank you you saved her♥️

We purchased our 2nd Parrot from them 2 days ago. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and these birds are happy and healthy. They seem to really care about the homes their birds go to. We couldn't be happier with either bird. We live in Lakeland which is 1.5 hr drive and well worth it .

Incredible staff !!! Very personable and professional. I highly recommend this location. It has a mom and pop feel to it. They also have every thing you can imagine when it comes to exotic animals or they will find it for you.

Oh the nostalgia! This is an "old school" mom and pop pet store that was such a breath of fresh air compared to the big chain pet stores. I have a Sun Conure and an Umbrella Cockatoo that are spoiled rotten. I though I'd seen/bought just about every type of bird toy out there (in stores, online, and at shows), but this place had MULTIPLE toys in multiple sizes and colors that I'd never seen before! Needless to say, my babies got a bit more spoiled.They also have an aviary and nursery with a variety of baby birds. The birds were kept in a very social environment that encourages socializing with other birds and people. They all appeared to be in great health with clean enclosures and fresh water.Unfortunately (or fortunately for my bank account), I live in GA and only visit the area a couple of times a year. But, Amazon Jungle will absolutely be a "must visit" stop from now on!

They have a good selection for supplies for birds, fish, cats, dogs, and rodents. The live aquatic plants looked really good. I stopped in to get some mystery snails and they were happy and healthy so I took 3 home.

This place has gone down hill so bad. The tarantulas really got me this time... their cages are dirty and the spiders look horribly unhealthy and miserable. Shelves were dirty and nothing was in order. I feel bad for the reptiles in this place. Never again...

The elderly women was EXTREMELY disrespectful we were waiting to buy a reptile for 30 minutes as she ignored us and lead onto mouthing us and showing customers random pictures as she would look at us with dirty looks. That’s not it folks there’s a elderly man that runs the store with his wife that didn’t know how to work the register and held us there and didn’t proceed to talk to his wife when we were gonna put cash in there hands. My review with this place was terrible never going there again.

Fantastic and knowledgeable staff. Super helpful and even let my daughter's bearded dragon try a few super worms :) everything is reasonably priced and have the best selection of freshwater fish in town

I see a few negative comments here, and I can not understand why. This pet store is a 15 on a scale of 1 - 10. I visit this store for the birds, but have looked around at the other pets, including little rats, bearded dragons, and turtles, and the enclosures ARE clean. In regards to the birds, they have an enormous variety - anything from little lovebirds to Macaws. Cloide and his wife, Rindy, are incredibly intelligent regarding the behaviors and temperaments of each species of bird. They can, and will, assist you in making your decision as of which bird is best for you once you decide to bring a bird into your life. Prices are extremely competitive, so I would highly recommend visiting this store prior to visiting other stores. Customers are also allowed to handle the birds prior to purchase which enables customers to interact with each bird of interest ensuring personality matches. I drive all the way from Jacksonville to visit this store and have no regrets. Many bird supplies are offered as well - food, toys, cages, etc. This place is worth the drive. And don't forget, this store offers wing feather trimming and nail filing!
