As much of a burden my truck has been sam an josh take care of my truck every time. Jeff is amazing with building transmissions. My 03 cummins is shifting amazing as i beat this truck on level 9 every day. Very professional business. Thank you guys very much. I recently found Sam's Automotive after experiencing some transmission issues and I must say, the experience was exceptional. Sam and his staff were absolutely wonderful. The level of service provided was excellent, with prompt attention to my needs and a thorough explanation of the work performed on my vehicle. I'm a customer life! I went to another transmission place before calling Sam and Joshua. I was just trying to compare pricing but they could tell, just from a phone call, that the diagnosis I was given by the first company was all wrong.The first place said they needed to rebuild my transmission and that it would cost $3500. I was doubtful because of the error code and that I only had 41K miles on my truck, so I decided to get a second opinion. Sam and Joshua accurately diagnosed the issue and fixed it for under $1000! They also said that my transmission ABSOLUTELY did not need to be rebuilt.The took care of my issue quickly and even sent me pictures of the process confirming that I had a healthy transmission that did not need a rebuild.They have all of my business from now on!Service: Transmission

Sam and his sons do a fantastic job, and they are THE honest, top-notch transmission shop in all of Orlando, hands down. I've worked with them on a business and a personal level, and even though the work I needed no my vehicle ended up being outside of transmission services, they still did their best to assist and made good recommendations for other shops to finish up the work. I had an issue with my transmission and was referred to Transmax by my regular mechanic. Sam was very helpful in helping me figure out what the problem might be and my options for dealing with it. It turns out, it was an issue covered by warranty but Sam was knowledgeable and professional. Definitely will call him in the future if I have any transmission issues.

Came here as I had an issue with transmission at low speed. He is very knowlagable and said should be something else. Scanned it withi instrument scanner and it confirmed his theory.. Did not charge me for scannning and explanation. I would recomend anyone to come here for transmission repair!Service: Transmission

Sam was one of the best people I have ever worked with at a mechanic shop. He had two guys out for a while and I thought I wasn't going to get my car worked on since I had a small window of being in the states. He had his team work around the clock and it was tore down and rebuilt in 2 days time. He would make sure to keep me updated, sent me pictures, and would let me know if he noticed if there was anything else that will need replacing in the near future. He gave me recommendations of other places that do repairs that his shop cannot do. They take pride in their work. I highly recommend this place.Service: Transmission

Wow!! I can only give you 5 stars, I wish there was a way to send you 10 stars! If you or someone you know or a loved one, has any issues with a transmission. Take it to Sam and Josh, family ran business, that cares about your family. They give you free diagnostics and tell you EXACTLY what's wrong with your transmission. It'll take at least 2 weeks to tell you the story on how Seminole Chrysler Dodge in Sanford, gave me the run around for 2 months. Tried to sell me a new transmission for $9k and had my truck for months. Took my truck to Josh and he had it running in 10 minutes. Transmission didn't have any fluid in it, and that was after Seminole dropped the pan, and refused to put any fluid back in there. And what's funny Tyler the service manager over at Dodge called them a Mom and Pop! Lmbo mom/pop?? Old saying "Mom and Pop knows best!" These dealerships are a joke, biggest scam to take your money. I have a Mazda 3 that needed transmission work done and I brought it to Transmax and this father and son shop exceeded my expectations. It truly is hard to trust someone you just met and are spending thousands of dollars into your vehicle. Once is spoke to the owner and his son and I even got a tour of the shop that solidified it for me. I can't recommend them enough.

In over 45 years of driving and maintaining vehicles there are exactly 2 repair shops that I trust completely and would recommend to everyone for repair and maintenance of their vehicle - one of those is Transmax of Orlando, the other is Mike the Mechanic in Winter Garden that referred me to them. Sam and his team have rebuilt 2 transmissions for me and both experiences were meticulously fair, honest and professional. Recently, my son's 2009 Silverado (one of the transmissions Transmaxx rebuilt) broke down on my son as he was traveling from Orlando to Maryland to start the baseball season. When my son called and asked my opinion, we agreed he should have it towed (400 miles) back to Orlando and have Sam figure out what happened. Unfortunately the transmission was out of warranty, but we would at least know if the truck was worth saving. Sam saw that it was going to be another complete rebuild, but was able to work with his parts suppliers on the failed parts. Rebuilt again, Josh took it for a test drive and upon inspection found that another part had failed catastrophically and yet another rebuild was required. Sam and Josh were not about to give up and their guys worked overtime to get the second rebuild done. This attitude is completely unheard of in this day and age - and Josh was in nearly constant contact with me the entire time the truck was in the shop. While Sam had said he would work with his suppliers on the parts, I was still anticipating that there would be a significant amount of labor for the two rebuilds - Sam assured me that he would take care of me. Picking up the truck I was almost in tears - the bill was a tiny fraction of what it should have been. Sam told me that warranty or not he wasn't going to have a customer of his get stranded 400 miles away, tow the truck back to his shop (because we trusted him) and let him pay for the labor it took to get us back on the road. I am telling you I have never felt so happy to have worked with guys like Sam and Josh, and privileged to be their customer. My son was in total disbelief when I filled him in. There aren't many business people of the caliber of Sam and Josh - my entire family (and everyone I tell this story to) are customers for life!
